Oh, I caved too, for Psyclone...But I like a bit more air than Hadaly or Entheon...decided to give a "final closeout" Kryten a shot - for $19.50. Will report back if it happens to not suck...

It might have to be relegated to a regulated - which means I'd have 2 good rdas for only one mod. Uh-oh. Might need a Pico Squeeze 2 if that happens. And around she goes.

I'm not crying honest.Chi-NarDa, Gorge, Wasp, Dead Wabbit SQ for me & I think the Gorge is nudging the Chi-NarDa out of top spot. Although I might be wrong, lemme go build a Chi-NarDa to use today.
Bah! Too early. Chi-NarDa was seeming too much MTL. I've gotten used to chuffies. The Wasp has a small output as well, yet I can DL off of it just from how it's designed.

Built it with some claptons I had ready, then took them out before even wicking. I could tell from the heat-up with a 1-battery mech that it wasn't going to achieve the vape I like. Now it's built with SS spaced single-wire duals, at about 0.4 ohms. A decent compromise coil (balancing resistance and mass).
And it's nice. Very well made of course. It actually, to me, vapes pretty much like an original Goon... More air than anyone needs, could easily be a cloud-chucker, but still pretty decent flavor. Good clean look - running on my Arkon, which frees up my one Ti Flave, possibly my very favorite atty, for another mod. Haven't decided which.

Not going to lie, it's pretty good 
Even for the clone I can crank down on the screws without worry, grabbed the simple 28/40 3mm 6 wrap fused claptons and the air flow is acceptable when 1/4ish open.
It's quieter than a Haku for sure, almost as quiet as a Skyfall, although air flow is much more smoother in the SF...which is one of the things I dislike about the SF.
Even after a few runs I can taste a hint of residual machine oil, so I'll be tearing it down again and run it a few more times.
But is it worth the $75.50 Don?
No, I don't think so. If it's still available at $60 sure why not.

Anyway, the things I noticed when I was building it... and this really could just be my Klein side cutters are nearing their end life in sharpness...but leaving the leads long and snipping them after... one can't truly get it flush cut...
I normally pre-cut the length of the legs, so this can be a non-issue really.
The Picture above with how far I have the AF turned down... that is as far as you can take it before it turns to the Ultem do dad, which really doesn't block off air... if they would of made this as a single centered AF cyclops I think I would own multiples...but it is what it is.
If you use the Ultem do-hicky-ma-bob...you will want to run legs down, what this will do for you is put tension on the coil to maintain its circumference when you put the coil LOW...if you do legs up...odds are you will deform your coil and have chicken legs.
I didn't notice much difference with the Ultem do-dad and not...there was a slight warmth increase, but its not a huge deal.
I will say this though... I like it more than I liked my Haku's, but I don't think its better than the Chi-NarDa for the way I like to vape. If the draw on this could get tighter, I'd buy an authentic in a heart beat.
I think this RSA will be right up some of you's alley with how the Air Flow is, for me, its a tad to airy and to bad too ( for me lol )
If Psyclone mods would of done a single air slot rather than keep with the design of dual as the Entheon/Hadaly, I really think this thing would be almost perfect.

If I were to join your hallowed ranks as a newbie squonker, can you guys recommend the mod to get right now? Regulated, battery type not important, single or dual. Just something decent quality. It seems the popular choice for budget is the pulse kit/mod.
I really liked the Hotcig RSQ when I had it. It had a metal body which puts it over the Pulse, IMHO. The chip performs well and waterproof too.
Only downside is that the paint tends to chip (get the silver one to solve that
) and they don't have door options like the Pulse. Sent from the Death Star
Ahh but both pulse squink mods have reported issues.
Leakage with the regulated one and severe voltage drop with the mech one.
I use the Pico Squeeze unregulated mod and a Wasp Nano atty.

Decided to revisit my Hussar clone. Threw a build on it when I first got it, decided I didn't like it, and drawered it.
Glad I brought it back out to tinker! Great flavor, great restricted lung hit with smooth airflow.
I put it on my ohm reader with the old build and it measured at 0.23! Wtf was I thinking with the size of the chamber and the airflow?! *facepalm*
Put in a Ni80 28/36 fused clapton, 2.5mm ID,
7 wraps. Comes out to 0.49 ohms and it's damn near perfect for me wide open.
Sounds like a So619Cal vape to me!

I only bought consumables (pods for the Orion, three packs total).......well, that and another SXKUSBBB to replace the one I don't have time to fiddle with right now. Looked at the Topside, considered the Pico2, drooled over a Marfione custom MSG2 (way above my pay grade) and a Benchmade 3320 Pagan Automatic (still above my budget, besides they don't ship them toys to CA), got a glass or three of mead, called it a day!

It's odd some people seem to get a weird taste from kanthal or NiC80.

Great combo but my black wasp sits atop my black wraith.And I'm happy with that setup.
Probably the cheapest setup would be the Pico Squeeze with the RDA of your choice. Pico (not the 2) is the missing link (not anymore) between mech and regulated in that it has a chip and protects you but you have to build your coils accordingly. I think somewhere around 0.4 -0.5 ohms is what most of us like. You might want to check with @CrazyChef v2.0 , I believe he's closing shop (sadly) and you might find something worth your time. Speaking for myself, the Therion 75C with replay is a good one to get.

Thanks for all the replies to my "which squonk mod/kit to buy!" -- not necessarily looking for cheapest (I think my post came across that way) -- I'm looking more for quality and usability. Also, you know, a mod that won't break after 3 days usage and a small leak (I'm looking at you, vaporesso armour pro). I was looking at that topfill unit, too, so that one looks interesting and a possibility.
