Hi All, Anthony Vapes back here with my review of Wotofo Faris RDTA. Please see bottom for disclaimers and links. Note this is not marked as a sample version.
Introduction:
The Wotofo Faris RDTA is the latest RDTA from very popular vape company Wotofo. They don’t really need much of an introduction these days as everyone knows who they are but from my experience have been pretty hit and miss. The recurve was a good hit and their nudge 22 wasn’t bad either but their flow tank, flux mod, warrior RDA, and a few others have been pretty bad and quality is an issue although i have seen some good improvement in their quality as of late. RDTAs in general have seem to been phased out as of late in favor of squonking RDAs. The Faris RDTA It’s a 24mm DTL RDTA that is also a combo RDA and can be used as either one, with a postless style deck and 3ml standard capacity. It’s available in 5 colors Black, Rainbow, Gold, Gunmetal, and SS. Looking around online I see it runs around 30 USD with lots of sites to by from. Elementvape has it in that price range.

Initial Impressions
When I first got this RDTA I was pretty surprised. Mostly because RDTAs just aren’t being made these days as they seemed to have died out in favor of squonking RDAs. So of course you can squonk this RDTA as expected. But outside of that it had a pretty nice design and a postless deck and side airflow so i figured it might be pretty decent. ALso been a while since i’ve gotten a gold atomizer which i like so happy with that and i really like the clear and gold flake resin tip as well.
Build Deck and Wicking (pics above)
Let’s talk about the build deck now. It’s a pretty standard postless deck which is a personal favorite of mine but which also means you have to precut your leads. The good thing is wotofo includes a coil lead measuring tool as well to make life easy. I didn’t use it but it appears to be a good size. Using a labeled tool I found leads at 6-7 MM depending on coil size works best. Still the tool makes it really easy to get your coils built and ready to install. You also can install the coils 1 at a time as each lead gets its own hole and combined with the included tool makes it really easy to build on even for beginners. They use decent quality phillips/flathead combo screws and all 4 spares are the same. Better screws and more options would have been nice though. The post screws come in from the side so flat wire leads won’t be twisted when installing and it works great for flat and round wire coils with no issues. I’d recommend a 3.5mm ID coil personally but you can fit a 4mm pretty easily as well and probably a little bigger. Overall nothing groundbreaking but just a well done postless deck and the included tool makes it easy to build on for even new builders.
Wicking on this one is super easy. All RDTA’s really are wicked the same way for me as it just works. I cut my leads so they are just long enough to go into the holes but don’t show in the glass of the tank and i do a little angle cut as well. I actually have an old video you can check out here
on how to wick a RDTA
Performance
Performance wise, I used it as a dual coil RDTA as intended. You could run a single fat coil as well and they even include some inserts to make the wicking holes smaller, but personally i was never a fan of running single coils in a RDTA designed for dual coils as they never seem to work as well as a good single coil RDTA. I ran 4 builds in it. 3 fancy builds at 3mm-4mm ID and one simple round build at 3.5mm ID. It’s DTL for sure and quite airy not a restricted DTL vape at all. Performance though was pretty damn good. Even with the round wire build flavor was good but it really shines with the fancy builds like most DTL atomizers these days. I wouldn’t say it’s tops for a dual coil RDA but as far as RDTAs go not many options these days so in the land of the blind the 1 eyed man is king. My only complaint on performance is the top cap gets really hot even with the round wire builds.
