N80 and Kanthal question

How would I calculate how many wraps if I want to twist kanthal and n80 together or do them in parallel. Or even if I want to twist nickel with one or the other. I know I could just make some and see what it comes out at but if someone can help me out so I don't have to waste wire I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Or calculate based on strand-resistance-per-loop|inch|whatever, and AVERAGE the sum of all the different strands.

[Remember: you are speaking of parallel with X strands of Y materials]

Ohhhh cool, so if a calculator won't let you use two different metals for twists, like steam engine, you could just set up two different twisted coils the same way, one coil with one metal and the other coil with the other metal, and average?

Well, Yeah. That's what parallel-coils do. Check steamengine on a few calculations - you certainly build better coils than I can dream of.

I got peeved the other day at miserable flavor, so I chucked the coil I had and did 2x28awg with 1x30awg SS316L between them. Calculation wasn't far off the DNA readings, so I rolled with it.

I really like Vape Tool, I bought the Pro version for like $3 but you can do twisted builds in the free version
Thanks I've had vape tool pro this whole time and always used steam engine so I never knew you could tell it 2 different wires.

Now to build with some different combinations to see what kind of flavor differences I get.
