First RTA

Hello guys!!
I want to swap my Eleaf Ello Duro with a RTA.
I'm pretty new to this world, I find the Ello Duro perfect for me, I just don't want to spend a lot of money on coils.
I use as mod Eleaf Istick Nowos, my budget is around 50€.
I vape DTL.
I was thinking at the Serpent Elevate, tried and also with the air all open its still not that airy as the Ello duro. What can you suggest to me??
Thank you

Dead Rabbit RTA. This is a really good beginner RTA and the airflow in it is pretty damn good for a top flow. It also is the least leakiest RTA that I have ever used (it actually doesnt leak at all).

Its awesome single coil. This is one of the better RTA's that I have used this year. @MannyScoot recommended it and the Dead Rabbit really is a freaking awesome RTA.

Infinitely better. In all fairness though the Themis did not grow on me, I have a reasonably strong dislike of the draw.

The DR is as easy to build on as the DR RDA. Wicking it is easy as well and pretty hard to get wrong. I dislike the wicking channels but that is just me being picky.

Yeah buddy.... The (2) best in my book....
1. The Reload
2. The Fatality
3. The Glaz and Aromamizer Supreme Plus V2..... Are a tie the are both dang close.
4. The Dead Rabbit
5. The Triple v2 by Hellgate

On it's own category #1 is... The Titan....

Subohm tanks
1. The Falcon resin v2 with the m2 mesh coil.
2. The VGOD Subohm pro tank with the SS316L shotgun could.
3. The Freemax pro mesh tank.

An honorable mention that I just got, but it's a serious Falcon resin tank competitor is The Sense Screen Tank it's fucking good, but won't be able to know 100% till next week...... Have to see the coil life......

Off the top of my head for new to rta wanting single coil, would think simplified - dedicated single coiler. Something built for 1 coil and 2 tails.
While coil position has it's place, coil mounting isn't as concerning as wicking your first.

As mentioned, Crius 2 would be a good one to get. Really forgiving on wicking, without leaking. Great flavor. It's one that I'm keeping from the one's I'm selling. Comes with 510 tip.

Serpent Elevate would be a good choice, and have a look at QP Design Juggerknot Mini and Squid Peacemaker 25mm

ok, I'm new to vaping and I want new RTA
right now I have Zeus single coil but its really hard for me to build it right, sometimes I just want to rage throw it! sometimes I get good flavor out of it and sometimes its just fking MUTE(70% of times)!
I Googled about it and find out so many people have the same problem just like me, even pro vapers!
so I want an easy RTA with awesome flavor :xD:
is Dead Rabbit easy to build ? is there any other rtas that I can look for?

I was just checking @Vaping With Vic reviews, and he does claim the Dead Rabbit RTA is "just like" the Dead Rabbit RDA/RSA, and the Dead Rabbit SQ is an outstanding single-coil @22mm. (I hear the RTA & RDA can be single coiled as well, but in my experience you simply don't want to bother with a single-coil in a big, fat expects-2-coils atty)

Kaees Solomon 2 single coil is also gaining in popularity. I love the qp Juggerknot mini but it like the Augvape intake is a bit more restricted.

#2 reload

I agree the reload is sweet also twice the price of the obs engine nano
My OBS engine nano is loosing it's finish and looking rough...... And barely used.... Not well built ...and it Vapes real good....

This Reload is almost 2 years old I use it daily at work and everywhere.... And looks beautiful.... The build quality is exceptional.......

My Nanos show little wear on the outside and have been in daily rotation since their release. Haven't had to change any orings but there is some buildup in the press fit chimney. Enjoying the elevate, now to build the Peacemaker 25 and give it a go as well.

What happens it's that the high quality attys become black with heat..... And get high finishes..... The cheap ones like OBS are simply sprayed with paint.

The paint will chip with time..... Well rubber O-rings can last year's and years.... They are being protected with oil !

The new RTA'S are using the white and black silicone orings (cheaper to manufacture) which deteriorates with liquid contact.....

This is why I buy ss, no paint to chip. Much as I like the elevate I dislike the media blast finish.

I think The Peacemaker looks good in quality..... But made in China.... I realized that in order go get a good finish you have to pay.....

Taifun GT3
The Modfather
The Reload
The Voltrove
Steamcrave products

Are amazing in quality... Everything else is sub-par....

Zeus single coil is great as well

Agree with this. Zeus single was my first RTA, bought it from the Hardware thread here, but the person I bought it from was kind enough to send it to me with a coil already in it. Did not find wicking to be complicated as long as you realize that the wick tails have to go into the grooves that are cut for them, and that the tails of the wick need to just touch the lower deck.

Granted I have not tried the more expensive RTAs that Manny recommends, but I have two of those Zeus single coil RTAs now, and I get phenomenal flavor from both of them. The only time either of them has leaked was when I did not have wick tails properly placed in those channels. That was quickly resolved, and not an ongoing issue.

I'm not really getting people to buy expensive items..... I'm trying to help them from making the same mistakes I made......

I spent
$35.00 on a Dead Rabbit
$25.00 on a Zeus
$30.00 on a Intake

When I could have spent $70 and had an amazing RTA......

That's why I always recommend The Reload...... Specially if you are chasing good flavor...... I keep buying tanks and haven't found one that equals it......

So really buy anything that you can afford..... And if you just like to buy a lot if things and experiment and save a lot of tanks and keep in storage do it.....

experimenting on your own is lots of fun.......

Today from 60 tanks I'm using the Reload during my grapefruit picking...

No criticism intended, Manny. I just find it difficult to spend $70 on any one piece of gear. It's a personality thing with me.

No I'm ok..... I don't see it as criticism....

Different people had different opinions.... Like The Democratic party has .....

Some have the $70 bucks and get a $30.00 to save money..... That's understandable.....

I'm good..... Only one person can drive me crazy on Vaping Underground and That's JuicyLuicy....

LOL ..........

I also prefer single coils, and devices that are designed for single coils. Just bugs me knowing I have one coil in a device that's really intended for two. Two coils take the resistance down entirely too low, and ramp-up time is entirely too long if the coils are a high enough resistance for me. Just like quick-firing single coils.

I've pretty much quit trying dual builds. Do on occasion build a dual rda and the engine 2 rta but usually clean and put them back in the closet after a couple weeks. Same with higher watt drop in tanks. Enjoy them for a diversion but always prefer the single builds for day to day.
