Here is everything I built tonight, 38k fraliens, 36N80 aliens, 46k framed staples, spaced for a new rebuildable user; 40k framed staples, and ridiculous 18g kanthal for me

Cool hot spot kanthal coloring

6x30/40 kanthal aliens dannnnnng I forgot about the flavor @Shredtravolta I do not prefer round wire builds! lmao :xD:

Put em in an RTA cause I'm gonna stay up all night playing videogames after I finish orders

I literally own only 1 RTA until the Fatality clone I ordered comes in

Oh that’s a great idea Meg! I realized the .5 ribbon was messing with me when it came to enigmas. It works out great for basic builds like Fraliens but when your doing skip fusing staggering or enigmas or even hedgehogs that 1 mm actually does make a difference, it’s too big for 26g frames and since 26g frames is what I primarily go with I think .4 ribbon would be a little mo betta.

Well done man. I’ve tried this build recently, but the angle you put in your wrap to fill the gaps looks better then mine ;) congrats
Thanks man. I actually noticed that build you did. I don’t think mine necessarily looks better maybe the angle was just a little different. The staple helix is a really strong build on mine cause I really enjoy the way they vape. A single all N80 coil 6ply 26g frames comes to about .09-.10 and oooh it hits nice. Really great job on your SS Tsuka. You make the nicest Tsukas.:D

I'm a big fan o @raymo2u , as you guys know. But how can someone like his work even more???
When someone try to use 46g wire lol

My first attempt to use 46g. I Did a 10 inches stick. I thought i'd waste everything, but, surprisingly, 4 inches come out just fine :)

40 is the highest I go out of personal preference but I definitely give props to those who can work the 46g wire and not break it, I have big clumsy hands and I think I would break the 46g every time.:coffee2::deadhorse::coffee2::deadhorse::coffee2::deadhorse::coffee2::deadhorse:

Starting to get the hang of a Felix (staggered Fralien) you can see here it’s starting to come together. I’ve got to change my battery, get some coffee, and take another stab at this in a little bit. Something tells me I’m gonna be up late tonight :coffee2:

Jeeze man, someone gave you a builder steroid or something (I Mean that in a good way) can't wait to see it!!!

I'm not gonna build tonight...made a few coils earlier today, but went to see a movie and then an old buddy named Jack came to visit me :0

Thanks Meg!!! I’m just trying to be more like you :D
wow thats great man. got any tips for making that work?i tried it a long time ago with just three cores and i couldnt get it to stay as an alien...it stretched out so much that most of the stick looked like an ssfc (no waves). beautiful
Thanks @mach1ne !!! What works for me goes against all logical building principles. Bear in mind I stayed up pretty late last night trying to get a coil’s worth so I have to go slow if I’m gonna get this done. I can’t seem to make it work at a normal pace but I will spend the time going super slow today for the build gods. Now back to the principles. I tried using exactly what I would use on my normal Fralien which has been working fine for me for a long time but I kept getting bumps, like enigmas or hedgehogs with my usual stretch (which could be cool for another build but one thing at a time). When I stretched the wire out with tension it became straight much like you described. It sounds crazy but I tried a decore that was 28g for the same stack I would normally use 26g to Fralien and you can see the results so far. The other interesting thing I found about using this higher gauge is there doesn’t seem to be any groove so to speak. Holding the wire parallel to the stack is what works for me but when I come the least bit out of alignment in either direction I run into mistakes, which is why I’m gonna do it super slow mo today. In the end it’ll be a little bit mo betta. That’s just my experience with the build so far.

Thats great man!! I have tried a staggered fralien a few times and never been able to get it clean. And, not that it matters, but just f.y.i., a Felix is twisted frames with an alien wrap in the twist groove.

Oh I didn’t realize I had the wrong name! I guess it should just be called a staggered fralien. I tried a color shot but for some reason my IPhone camera won’t really pick up blue. This is how it came out.

Wow. @Shredtravolta , @zephyr and @WPMac . Great build in the last posts. Congrats (hands together).

I did earlier today a new round of alien staggs. A few days ago i've tried for the first time and got nothing. After bother @raymo2u asking for help i got some coils, but the wires were not tight as i'd like.

Today, im my third try, they're still not tight, but i think im improving :) :) :inlove:
PS: Think i need to buy a new and bigger atty LOL

Build I’m trying for the Noisy Cricket that’s coming in tomorrow. 18 wraps of 24g Kanthal with a 3.5mm interior diameter, comes out to .73ohm. Way different than what I’m used to but still a good vape.

That is pretty tight. I have to make it a point to give this build another go I had like kinda gotten it before but it was clear there was room for improvement. When you talk about getting your alien stagg tighter, you’re dealing with such small amounts of space they would simply be undetectable without the benefit of a macro shot so while we can all always get better at everything I say give yourself some credit. It’s a tough ass build and the way yours came out look terrific. Great job man.:cheers:

A lot mo betta...I don't hang with the 100+ watt guys for long lol
I happen to think this build is sexy as all hell. I’ve never done a naked ribbon build to be honest with you but I think the way you did it in this build is Tremendous I absolutely love it!

Those came out great! Great work, I think the spacing is just right...any tighter and sometimes you get overlap on the edges.

Nice clean wraps!!
I like a .47-.5, with fine gauge cores, on the Cricket. My thoughts are, what's the point of forgoing battery life for more voltage and then building so it hit's like a parallel?

Thanks! How’s the vape at .47-.5 on the cricket? I wasn’t sure if that’d be too warm for me so I built higher then I can just remove wraps if I need to.

Well I do 7-8 wrap 3 core 32g aliens on a 3.5mm ID as my go-to. I wound't call it hot ... but it is pretty warm and DENSE. I also do 8-9 wrap single strand 24g claptoned with 38/40 that comes in around .5 as well. I would imagine that a single strand of 24g would be similar to that one. And it's a bordering on hot if you take longer pulls because it's a quick ramp. But it's a really good vape. This making me want to build for series. Havne't fired up the cricket in a while.

All my round wire is Ni80 btw

Man I haven't done this buiold in quite some time. It's super messy due to lack of practice with the 42g decore and bad wrap job due to lack of practice wrapping fine wire. So no porn shots. But still a great vape!!
3 core 32/42 Ni80, 6.5 wraps on a 3.5mm ID, .55 ohm dual coil in the KTX on the NC2 in series.

Do it! The Noisy Cricket is really showing me I’m not as temp sensitive to vaping as I thought, for whatever reason the higher watts on a mech are much more pleasant than on a regulated mod.

That's because there's no chip regulating the wattage or voltage. So your getting a good constant feed of power from start to finish with unregulated/mech. Regulated mods will pulse power to try and keep your wattage at the designated setting. At higher wattages it can have a harder time regulating the power.

Gotcha! Thanks for taking the time to explain that...and making it easy to understand. At first I thought the Noisy Cricket would be too much mod for me but after trying dual and single coil builds I’m loving it!

Yah you have to remember that an unregulated mod is intended to be for people to find the build that works best FOR THEM. Unlike the regulated counter-part, which is intended to take anything and make it work for you. Play around with gauges and alloys. Put all types of things on it (safely). Trying different builds and attys on it will give you a well rounded taste for what build to put in what atty and allow you to fine tune the experience to your liking.

Also remember than unregulated doesn't mean super powered all the time. It just means ~3.7 volts most of the time (4.2 max with no v-drop but you really only get close to that with a really well made tube). And 7.4v (8.4v) in series. So with the right build you can run whatever wattage you want on any unregulated device
