Hello everyone Pizza Dave here, delivering a review of the Edge Kit by Digiflavor. The Edge has been out for a while, but it has always interested me. The device features 200w of max output, runs off two 18650s, and has wireless charging. Yep, I said that, wireless charging. The back battery door has an induction charging portion, making this first device I know of that has this feature. Let’s dive down, look at the device, look at the charging, and as always, I will have my final thoughts down at the bottom.
Disclaimer: This device was sent to me by Geekvape for review. (sister company of Digiflavor)

OPERATION /UI
5 clicks of the fire button and you will be greeted with a Digiflavor logo startup menu. From there, you get to see a clear, non cluttered main display. 3 clicks of the fire button will allow you to hop into a memory mode screen. Every operation of this device is stored in 5 memory bank settings. Each of these is customizable for the type of vape you are looking for.
Wattage
TC Ti
TC SS
TC Ni
TC TCR
Power curve
Bypass
If you want to explore a few more options, click the fire button 3 times and enter the menu, then hold up/down together and this will enter a submenu. From here you can change reset the puff counter, change the color of the led bar on the mod (red, green, blue, or a blend of these colors), and “replay”. The book says nothing about this but mentions Time as a menu option here. No clue what replay is, but it is adjustable from 1-5s and it pops up on the top of the display when using. Tried using the device with this on and didn’t notice anything it was doing differently.
The menu system on the Edge is a little bit different, but it is easy to use, and I like how different modes are stored so you could flip flop for different atomizers.

CHARGING
I wouldn’t normally have a section on this, but since it is essentially the gimmick of this device I wanted to bring it up. The Edge is equipped with wireless fast charging, and also comes with a USB-C connection. As a rule of thumb, many of us simply don’t use our mods to charge the batteries. It can lead to a multitude of issues from heat, to unbalanced charging, to damaging usb ports. I will say this. Any time a company uses 2-amp charging, a USB-C, or steps it up and does it with wireless means, one would assume they put more time into the charging circuitry it must be a touch ahead device where the charging is kind of a secondary thought.
While I still don’t really condone charging in devices for the same reasons as I said above, it is kind of a cool option in a pinch. I feel like it is a more reliable function based on the fact that they state 2amp charging. Often times, built in battery devices these days are simple 18650s that are not removable and people get plenty of life out of them.

HOW IT VAPES
I will be the first to say, I never thought I would get an Edge Kit. That being said, the device intrigued me and I watched some videos on it. Most seemed to dwell on the wireless charging aspect of the mod and not really get into the mod itself. I already hit the charging portion, so let’s see what the mod is like without the gimmick. For my testing period I used mine mostly with the Spectre tank and found that it was an excellent pairing. The ramp up is minimal and it provides an enjoyable vape. I tested a few other tanks of mine in wattage mode, and as expected, it works well with them also. I didn’t do much TC testing with the device, but I did juice up a rda, set it to SS, and here is what I found. I never really got it to do much. It would hit hard right away (preheat at 80w), then it would back WAY off and hardly fire the coil. I cranked it up to 600 and it did the same thing. I popped into TCR and turned it up from the factory SS setting and it started to produce much more vapor and not drop off immediately like it did. When I did get it kind of work, it didn’t taper off quick enough to prevent a dry hit, so my opinion is TC is meg on this one. Once again, this is based on feel of a guy that hardly uses TC, so I suggest watching some videos from guys who properly test TC and not totally going off my opinion.
The button on the mod takes a little bit of time to get used to, as you kind of press it down, rather than into the side of the mod. In no time, this is natural and is appreciated as it is very hard to accidentally fire it. The whole device feels very solid and weighty. The only con I pick apart with build quality is the battery door, as this type of assembly can push in and out when latched. Not noticeable when using, but it is noticed when I sit and pick the mod apart.
The Spectre tank, to me, seems like a Digiflavor version of the Geekvape Aero tank. However, I don’t remember liking the Aero as much as this tank. Flavor is right up there with some of my favorite mesh tanks. The airflow isn’t super noisy either, which is a nice change from some of the big mesh tanks of late. Refiling this one is just like the Aero (and other Geekvape tanks) where the top is removed with a quarter turn or so and sealed by a flat seal on top. It does have a little pedestal for the 810, so that will limit the tips you can install, but since I liked it with black, I had no issues. Since I am on a gush fest, I might as well brag about coil life. It took forever to kill the coil on this. I have no idea why, as I used the same liquid that usually results in garbage taste after 40mls. I ran through 60mls. Flavor is still there, and the only negative note is it would leak a little after about 40mls. This was only a leak right after a refill if I left it sit for a bit. I dig the tank, and it’s a good, well matched compliment to the edge tank. Side note….I did some searching and it appears the coil heads are the same as Smok Baby Beast, so that means there are a ton of coils on the market for this one.
