I was complaining a little while ago about not having vape mail, but it's been like Santa Claus came the last couple of days.

A couple of days ago, got a O-atty V2 from eBay and the lovely Shogun RDA from Cloudist.Store, along with two spools of SS wire and another pack of CB V2. I'm gonna keep buying that deal that Lightning Vapes has on eBay for as long as they have it - wire and cotton for about 6 bucks. Also got some kinda weird Dotmod RDA clone, but not sure that thing is even worth telling about. The other two RDAs are both fabulous now that I have the right builds in them.

Last night came the Pico Squeeze 2 and the stainless Rebirth RDA with the MOST gorgeous blue honeycomb drip tip. I love the Rebirth. The Squeeze 2, well, we hadda have words. It would not squonk. I complained to Breazy, then about the time they got back to me, I got it working. Had to get wire down into the feed tube, not quite sure what happened, but after I fiddled with it a while, suddenly it was working. Never did see anything come out, no bits of metal or goop, if I had Breazy could have had this thing back! It still squonks a little differently from my other mods. Air is a little slow to reinflate the bottle. I am hoping that I just wasn't patient enough with getting it primed, since that liquid has a little distance to travel up the tube.

Also got four more Vapcell 20700 batteries - I like these things!

But now I have more RDAs than I have mods for, so what does that mean? It means I have to buy more mods, right? Maybe I'd better throw that question out to the Shinyitis Enablers thread. :D

I'm really a big fan of the postless decks, not having to position two coils and tighten at the same time it's so much easier.

That being said, I took a small plastic fork and broke out the two middle tines, works perfect for holding the coils in place while tightening them down.

Thats clever. I am going to try that.

Well @Letitia9 I got more vape mail today and one piece was my first OBS Engine Nano RTA. Dang! I love it! @Huckleberried if you haven't tried an Engine Nano, you really should!

Easy peasy to build, and the vape from this thing is really super! Big thanks out to @St.Roostifer for the great deal on a great piece of kit!

More batteries. 21700s this time. Think I lost my mind ordering batteries. Also flavors from BCF, thank you very much @wllmc and @Roundhouse , Y'all Rock, especially with 15% off!

Today's delivery.

My first foray into squonking. The Pico Squeeze.

Another Pixie RDA. The dripper so nice I bought it twice.

Some wire and a few new cells.

I imagine @The Cromwell will be very interested to know where you found that white Squeeze.

If you like Lightning Vapes wire, you might want to see if you can find one of their deals on eBay that include cotton. You get wire and cotton for about $1.50 more than you'd pay for just the wire. They have some wire bundled with CB V2 and some with Native Wicks.

I'm new at squonking, too, and fell right into that hole like everyone said I would. Hope you enjoy it!

Try the Nano on that Luxotic NC. It'll rock, especially if you have two 20700s in the NC.

You've seen my coils. I don't put much metal in there. :) I have a 0.41 ohm ni80 round wire coil in this, but the flavor and the air moving through the thing are fantastic. I know I'm gonna love it, knew it the moment I took the first hit on it.

I started with it on the Luxotic, but ended up putting it on the DPro. It is hitting really nice on it and good battery life too with the .2 coil I have in it. Livethis tank. It's very versatile with the builds you can put in it.

That reminds me I should be getting a white squeeze in vapemail any time now!
:vapemail::bliss:

You know what, Bo? It is damn nice to know folks around here well enough to realize when something gets posted that a specific person would be interested in.

How's the weather in the mountains? My son just sent me a weather photo of some damn huge rainstorm that looks like it has us and you drowning.

If it doesn't stop raining here pretty soon, I'm never going to get my car down the driveway again.

Ohh over the course of the last 233k about 5 inches or more of rain and 4-6 more on the way over the next 2 days.

Flooding in many places.

I am on top of a little ridge so no danger. All of central and western KY would be under water before it got me.
Am getting a bit in the basement though. Just a bit.

and I suspect that getting the car back up the dirveway would be a bigger issue?

I expect lots of gravel to be sold and spread here over the next month or so.

I very nearly didn't get in here last night. Since then it has rained constantly. Don't know how much, but it has to have been at least 2-3 inches.

Right now we could probably put 5 loads of gravel out there and it would just disappear when we put some weight on it. The ground is just sopping wet.

We're on a ridge, too, so there's no actual flooding here, it's just that the rain has saturated the surface down farther than I've ever seen it. We're slogging around in red mud.

I've been rocking a Engine Nano daily. Incredibly awesome vape. Only tank I've been rocking of later. I want to get the TFV12 Prince going, but gotta get some concentrates first. I know for a fact that this tank is going to plow through juice and want enough made to do it justice :)

Thanks for the heads up. I actuality stocked up on some Wotofo 3mm shoestring cotton. Found a pack of 30 for $4. Which was only fifty cents more than a ten pack. Bought three packs so I'm good for a while.

I am discovering that if I stay squonking I'm going to have to get a VW mod. I much prefer to vape at the .5 to .6 range. Building in that range for a mechanical or unregulated mod makes for seriously long ramp up times. And not much flavor.

You just have to know how to build for unregulated squonk mods. It's in a thing in its own.

You can get mean builds that crackle like you owe them money and they're coming to collect.

If you can use nichrome, it will ramp up faster. Even if you take resistance down just a little bit, that will help too. I can get a good vape at about 0.42-0.45 ohms with a 3mm 24ga ni80 round wire, 4 or 5 wraps, spaced. You can also try ni80 fused Clapton wire, the stuff marked MTL. Geekvape and Vandy Vape both make it, iirc.

ETA:. Airflow! Try closing it up a little!

I keep my airflow pretty tight. Don't like it flowing like a hurricane. And I'll give nichrome a try. Would you recommend a single core nichrome clapton maybe? I've seen them premade in my range.

If you can get a Clapton made with something close to 26/36, that would work. 28 twisted would be ok, too, I'd guess, but I haven't tried it yet. I think you might be surprised at how good the flavor can be with just the round wire.

Steam tuners GTV3 kit- left ,
And then one from fasttech
On right , seems the cheaper one gives thinner chimney smaller chamber , more juice capacity , at more than a fraction of the cost,
Either option gives a better look to Taifun GTV3 ugly metal tank cage

I'm using round 24k right now. But to get my resistance and the surface area I want it's just taking too long to ramp up. So nichrome in the same would ramp up quicker?

Yes. Noticeably quicker.

ETA: Stainless ramps up even quicker, but resistance is lower on it. If you have room for more wraps, you could do stainless.

says you'd need 9 wraps of 24ga 316 SS on a 3mm ID coil to get 0.45 ohms

Ok gonna pick your brain a bit more. Been a while since I did any building. To put it into perspective claptons were just starting to appear.

So I'm looking at some coils. How would a quad core with 30g compare to dual core of 26g in ramp up time?

I can go a little lower than .5. But don't want to go too low because I only use 20a batteries. And I like having a little better battery life.

Can't help with that one. I never ever put that much metal in a coil. I use as little as I can to get the flavor and warmth I like. Dual core Claptons are about as heavy as I'd go.
