Well I've been using the DotMod DotSquonk 100 for going on 2 days now and I love it!
I have the 75 watt mech and I've always liked it for it's simplicity and compact size.
The 100 is amazing, it's hard to believe they can pack a board in such a small mod. The difference in size between the 75 mech and the 100 regulated is almost unnoticeable and it has the full suite.
Wattage, TC, Bypass, and Curves.
I've been running it in TC mode at 420° and 50 watts with a pair of SS Claptons - 0.12 ohms and it works flawlessly.

Anyone have any experience with Alliexpress

Hit or miss depends on vendor. Mostly miss. Stock not updated so you order then vendor sends a message OOS, wants to send you something else. Some very slow to ship out. Aliexpress itself is pretty good about cancels and refunds when the OOS happens.

I got some cheap Athena bottles at 8vape to try in my Basium. The bottles might work if I swap the metal fittings and tubes. They have smaller tubes. Are all these squonks different as far as bottles go? I cleaned my Basium bottle in alcohol and I'm still tasting tubing or the bottle itself. Sucks ass.... I'll try vinegar as soon as I can get my hands on some I guess.

Will I run into this shitty taste with all bottles that use a plastic tube? I was using a couple of Feedlinks and a Pico Squeeze 2 and they are fine. But they uss a metal rod. Just wondering.

most use 18mm diameter bottles, including the basium

the plastic taste seems to effect some people, but not others

So I'm liking the DotSquonk 100 enough that I decided to splurge and pop for the authentic DotRDA v1.5 for it.
I'm impressed, single post deck with one screw. Loosen the screw and it's spring loaded and opens up both The negative and the positive clamps. The juice squonks up through the screw and flows down over the coils.
It produces fantastic flavor.

So how are you liking it?

I found it really abundant in the air department, which wasn't what I really expected (Or truly wanted)... also didn't find it significantly better than the Hadaly, besides the over squonk potential was less.

I was hoping one of the cap guys on FB would make a single AF slot cap for it...I might of kept the Citadel...but that never came about.

My biggest gripe was when you turned the AF down...the AF slots didn't match after half way... one would look 50% and the other would look 40%... I really believe they missed the mark and not going with a single centered AF slot...but I know they wanted it to resemble the previous models with the dual.

Definitely airy - which isn't my thing either - but am still playing with it

I was able to get a comfortable vape with it...had to run a larger than normal 3.5mm coil to take up more room in the deck...and cut the cotton longer than normal to stuff the deck more... this effectively reduced some of the "Airy'ness" of the atty...but still not enough.

Wasn't a bad RSA...just wasn't an above average RSA

Got my original O-atty. Not likely the mod it's destined for but I wanted to give it a try.
And yes - that's a slam cap and fat tip on it - just how I wanted.
It's not bad, but I'm not thrilled. I'm thinking "...guess the Haku WAS a "better-than-O-atty-atty" after all".
Now I suppose I knew that...but I forgot. I think if I mess with the coil placement, it'll even up - so it's like having a finicky Haku, lol.

Not big enuf! lol
I'd probably spend $50 for an O-atty V1. That's, what, pre-historic vape gear by now, right?
But even on sale, they're $130, PLUS another $15 for a squonk pin?
F-that...

Now that I've had the new Drone for 5 days I can say that there's one major disappointment with it. The size of the squonk hole is too small and the bottom corner of the door pops out most of the time when you squonk.

I have big hands (not fat fingers, just big, lol) so my thumb doesn't fit in the squonk door window. Even if I squonk with my pinky and don't touch the door at all the bottom corner still pops out from bottle pressure. This annoys me to no end. This isn't a high end mod, but it's also not a cheap one. Lost Vape should have done a better job with this door.

That was my complaint with the first Drone, and I have small hands - total fail IMO

When I saw they did not change the design for the 250 I didn't even think about getting it

Total fail is a great description. I'm done with this thing. Every time I squonk and feel that door pop open I want to bounce the mod off of a wall, my blood pressure doesn't need the aggravation, lol

Well I've had an adventure this evening.

Decided to try @The Cromwell 's coiling method on one of my O-atties (a V1 clone). Don't have 26awg, so used 24 in a parallel coil, 3.5mm, n80, 4 wraps. On a reg mod it read 0.17 ohms. Wicked it, juiced it, figured it was probably too much metal for the mod I was gonna put it on, but I put it there anyway, just to see. Figured it would be sluggish heating up.

Well, no. Not sluggish. Like to have burnt my lips right off. Had just put a fully charged battery in that mod (Wismec Luxotic BF).

So then, musical atties, it ended up choked down to 40W on the Anita regulated squonker. It's still pretty warm. May end up closer to 37.5W. I'd better order some 26 before I do this again.

Will say that I think a parallel coil is a good choice for the O-atty V1 because the two legs of the coil work well to go on either side of the screws, and that does seem to improve ramp-up time. I by no means have any kind of intuitive understanding of electronics, but it does seem to make sense that the power feeding into two wires in that particular configuration would be more responsive than just one.

I'm so relieved. After cleaning out the spare bottle, I gave it a go. It's white, the shitty one was pre-installed and black. Anyways, I don't taste anything but my juice! I've been so happy the past couple of days. I posted this in the vape mail thread, but I got a Rebirth to go with my Basium.

So far it's been awesome. I'm vaping ID10T's Viserion in it. It's a frozen blueberry cream.

I think parallels are good for single coil RDAs on unregulated mods sometimes too. I'd much rather vape a bigger .18Ω build than a smaller .36Ω on something like my Feedlink.

I've seen that brand around but never really paid attention. It looks like they make some nice stuff. I bet when you hold that it feels like high quality.

Yes it does, the DotMod line is very high quality. The fit and finish is second to none on their mods.

I had a first today...

Wanted to vape my Jorda B (styled! *gasp*) on my Little Orca today. Picked it up after a day or so of non-use, vaped it, and it tasted terrible! I literally rebuilt and wicked this thing four times throughout the day think I had too much wick, too little wick, too big of a coil, too hot, etc.

Then it hit me. THE EM EFFIN BOTTLE! Cleaned it with alcohol before I filled it, but apparently that didn't do the trick on the first go around. Cleaned out one of my old bottles and now I'm back in flavor country!

Just got theGas Mods Nixon RDTA and put it on top of my squonker and wow, this thing is amazing. Used it all night at work and loving this restricted lung hit that it offers. Many thanks to @CaFF for this atty.

Squonkable RTAs (or RDTAs) are pretty dang nice. I just got my first one, a Flave clone I found on eBay, put it on a Pico Squeeze 2 (which I think has an 8ml bottle). Only have to squonk it once in a while, no burnt hits, no over-squonking, easy peasy. The flavor and durability of an RDA with the ease-of-use of a tank. Best of both worlds!

The Galaxies right? I looked at that one. Wasn't really for me. I love dl, but this is a different experience in looking for. I love vaping period and just haven't had a good restricted dl and this Nixon does it very nicely.

I've seen the gs1, but know little about it. I'm a well rounded vaper. Sometimes I'm a clouds bro clouds guy. Sometimes I want a good restricted lung hit or a good mtl. That's why we collect all we do :)

I'm surprised that I like this as much as I do. When they first came out I was like, "meh, it's ok but I'm not that excited".
Then I seen the black and white one @debinnv had and liked it so I bought it from her (or traded, I don't remember).

This thing is great! It's the most comfortable mod I have. Right handed, left handed, it doesn't matter. It just fits in the hand perfectly. Index finger on the fire button and the second finger up from the pinky finger just lays naturally over the squonk bottle.

Those do have great ergonomics. Have you tried the Palm bf yet? It feels the best of anything I've vaped.
