Burnt Taste after 1 Day

So I’m not new to vaping. Been doing it for a few years now. I’m usually they type to just prep a coil and go. So I wanted to have better flavor and more clouds. I brought a VooPoo Drag for my mod and Crown Uwell 3 for the tank. I usually use Cuttwood for my fluid which is my preference. I was in the mod messing around with the settings and now the coils give a burnt taste after one day. The only thing I know I that the coil is .5 70-80w. I can’t figure out what settings I need to put this thing on as there are many and I never got into the specifics of the mod and tanks, I only wanted to quit cigarettes. Can someone please help me, any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I have a couple of Drags and the Crown 3's also.I use wattage mode and 40 to 50 watts with the .5 coils.
Just because the coil is rated 70-80, doesn't mean you have to hit it with that much power.
Try lowering the wattage and close the airflow a little and see if you like it.
You should get the same amount of flavor.
My coils last me about a week or more with 70/30 juice.
However, very sweet juice and bakery flavors tend to shorten their lifespan.

I usually cape at 60-65w. I know the coil can handle more easily. I’ve done it at 70 and the coil lasted more than 3 weeks using 15ml of fluid. I tried going at 50w and the coil is shot, so I need to replace it. Any other suggestions, and also what do the numbers mean in reference to the juice? 70/30? And thank you.

15 ml of fluid in 3 weeks?
Seems a bit low on the consumption for 3 weeks in a crown tank.
Also once the coil is burned dropping the wattage will NOT help things.
The trick is to keep the wattage low enough to not burn the coil in the first place.
I hope I understood your post properly.

You aren't hitting the tank very infrequently to only go through 15ml at 60+w even in temp control. Read the Manuel or watch a couple videos to master the mod, suspect that will take care of your issues. Could have also just had a couple crap coils.

I did come here to post. Damned if I recall the thought strung together to post. Bah! I missed a medication last night. Guess I see what happens.

70/30 refers to the VG/PG content.
In this case the juice is made with a ratio of 70% Vegetable Glycerin, and 30% Propylene Glycol.

When i was using sub ohm pre made coils i found that the high vg and or sweet juices crapped out coils way faster
Yep, I've had Unicorn Milk by Cuttwood. It's very sweet. Sweeteners will kill coils faster. Also, Uwell has been known to have big coil troubles in the past. Where did you get your last coils? I know that there's a lot of fake Crown 3 coils around. The quality of the materials the use in clone coils is garbage most of the time.

once it's burnt, it's burnt.

you might have better luck using 50-50 juice n dropping the watts to 30 or 40.
you can do even lower with .5 coils.
forget the listed recommendations.
even try watts in the 20s.

To each their own. Took me 10 min to mix 200ml of juice this evening. Takes me longer to go to a b&m 2 purchase

The higher the percentage of VG in the juice the thicker it is and the thicker it is the less wicking it does and a wick without enough juice in it burns.

I know this is factually true. Noted, I do not seem to have too much of an issue with VG depositing gunk on my coils. I also don't get much as far as wick drying out & burning either.

For the coils to have gunk on them seems to me indicative of not doing a dry pulse cleaning process every once in a while. You pulse your coil/s without any wick loaded until they look well cleaned and cleared from gunk. Usually, I change wick about every three days to week depending on how it seems to be holding up. It's then I pulse and clean coil/s. This works out well for me & I think it might help others.

I also don't run into getting less juice using max VG. Not sure exactly what I do to have such result. Possibly fluffing and fanning out the ends of the wick may be key. The fanning out lets the individual fibers act like tree roots spread out to lap up water. These tips set aside, all in it may be simply that I'm a freak & weirdo. I disobey the laws of physics, common logic, conventional wisdom, unjust & unlawful laws, Space Time, thermodynamic principles, ... why if there's a club for people against joining clubs? I won't join it.

Sorry for the typo. That’s 15ml per day.

15mL per day is a lot of chain vaping. This is probably why your coil burnt out quickly. Didn't read every single reply yet, so I don't know if anyone mentioned it - I recommend doing "dry pulls". Inhale without pressing the fire button. This will help force juice into the coil. Every 5 or so puffs, do an equal amount of dry pulls.

I vape about as much as you do, and I've had the best experience with the FreeMax Mesh Pro tank with the Dual Mesh coil. With this setup, I was making coils last 1 or 2 weeks, which is great for the amount I vape. I can burn out SMOK Baby or Prince coils in 1 or 2 days with the way I'm vaping. No experience with the Crown 3 though.

Yes. Dry hit it to help wick better. I was burning smok baby coils in 3 to 4 days. Kinda why i build my own now
