It’s a shame as it’s one of the better rta’s imho. Keep it in your stash & maybe on a boring day bring it out to play.
I love my intake rta. flavor is amazing, it's easy to build and wick, I can fit any size ID coil I want in there, it runs great in TC mode on my DNA 250, looks good, doesn't leak. The Dead Rabbit RTA was a little more finnicky, but the flavor is good and it is easy to build now that I know how to. I love messing with my tanks and getting them just the way I like them, but I only like it when I CAN ACTUALLY FIGURE IT OUT.

I have the Intake too & I enjoy it too. It’s of course different from the Aromamizer Supreme v2.

Yes it is, and my aromamizer is also different from the supreme. it is just the regular aromamizer v2 not the supreme.
Oooh this whole time I thought you were talking about the Supreme v2. Sorry. I was late to the SC game I didn’t get the Aromamizer v2 & by that time all the top fill rta’s come out. There are lots of people who love the Aromamizer v2.

I have the Supreme V2.1. Been doing 3mm dual coil builds on the postless deck, wicking with rayon. Effing fantastic flavor and clouds, and the draw can be tightened up for a much more restrictive airflow and doesn't whistle when you do. And the 8ml capacity with the extension kit is really nice.

If you're having wicking issues with nearly any atty, give rayon a go. I had wicking issues with nearly all my tanks at one time or another, switching to rayon eliminated them all. Plus it's much cheaper than cotton.

Rayon for the win! I switched to rayon early on & I wholeheartedly agree!

I also got the 8ml extension kit & the ultem kit & the Single Coil deck. Love it for its options.

I might just sell the aromamizer v2 and then get a supreme v2, but I really want a good bottom AF rta and the supreme v2 is topflow

Does anyone know the grub screw size for the V2 postless deck? I want to find some spare high tensile screws, more than the couple that come in the parts bag or spares they sell online. I've done a good amount of stripping the Allen key holes on the SS ones.

I could be wrong but it’s not a top airflow more of a side airflow.
You are absolutely right. It is bottom af actually. The airflow is in the same spot as the build deck. All my RTA right now have the airflow up top near the top cap. This would be what I am looking for, though I was just reminded that if we do not happen to be the winning team of the MARCH MIXING CHALLENGE (i mean obviously we will win, i was just being humble for a second :giggle:) then I MUST buy the Profile Unity RTA. Then this.

2.5mm x .45 x 3mm long - takes a m1.3 allen wrench.

I buy these socket head setscrews from Albany County Fasteners.

I get allen wrenches there too - I got 20 or so last time.

Coil legs should be on the bottom of the coil when installed so the direction the coil is wound makes a difference. I use a 4mm i.d. coil, fused clapton, n80, 2x 26 ga., wound with 36 ga. I will post a picture later.

Did one up, pics to follow.

A look at the deck:

The single coil deck uses a 2.5mm x .45 pitch x 4mm long grub screw:

For today's build I used 26g x 2 kanthol wrapped with 36 ga. kanthol. I usually like nichrome 80 but I was out so I used the kanthol.

I made this coil 3.5mm i.d. I tried one at 4mm but it kept shorting so I went smaller. 7 wraps with both legs out the bottom.

I install it kinda skewed from one side to the other. That keeps the coil nice and tight when I straighten it out.

20190320_143254.jpg

Straighten it out with the wrap tool and trim the ends. Be careful to snip those suckers off as close as possible so it doesn't short.

Make sure the legs are on the bottom of the coil.

I wish they had given them slightly different names than adding to the number. Man these get confusing.
Like "AromaMaster" or "AromaCzar" or "

I guess SC wouldn't include them if they rusted. but still, do they rust ? I put 2 of them in my Plus = ODD that they put just 2 screws in, stead of all 4.

Not sure if they do rust or if they even would rust, in an atty. And yeah, that they only included 2 of them in the kit is a gripe.

yeah, thought that to. idk, but I will find out.

my Plus, I got many of them, I didn't count.
what I meant was, the deck, there was only 2 installed, not all 4. I put 2 of the black ones in.

I'm doing a clean out and rebuild on mine tomorrow, I'm going to check the pack but I believe there were only 2 high tensile screws in mine.

I notice that the replacement screws that come from Steam Crave with the tanks are black ones. I might buy some of those black ones off FleaBay. I know the stainless ones I use only hold up so-so. I sure am not worried about those grub screws rusting. I think the constant heat will prevent that from happening.

Another thing on those single coil decks: don't crank down on those grub screws too hard; the deck will break at the back of the slot. Don't ask how I know...

Correction. There are 4 black HT screws in the pack. I'm swapping them in now for a new build.

The black HT grub screws IMHO are much better. I've stripped the regular stainless ones with out much effort. These = nope.
