I know a lot of people try to avoid diketones/subs. If you do, just skip this post, and avoid cake flavors. There's simply no straight-up cake flavor without diketones/subs. Same applies to frosting, cake batter, and cream cheese flavors.

There are two pound-cake flavors that taste right. One is that Vaping Zone SC-gourmet vanilla cake, which takes very little (under 1% for me), and seemed pretty good all by itself. It's like Twinkie cake, tastes a bit lemon to me. It's supposedly made by Baker Flavors in Russia, and they do use diacetyl. I'll bet that's DIY Flavor Shack's source, too. The other one is FlavourArt Pandoro, like others mentioned. Now there's lemon pound cake, beats VZ's flavor to me. FA has an inhalation warning on it and does not list it as an e-cig flavor due to the 2% diacetyl content. Used at or under 0.25% FA Pandoro is straight-up, perfect pound cake with a bit of lemon flavor. If you added Lemon Sicily and/or Vienna Cream like in VelvetA's recipe above, you could probably use 0.15% Pandoro. It cake-ifies other ingredients even with substantially less than that, so using a dilution like Huck mentioned of works best to get those fractions of 1%.
