In my opinion a Clone is a fake or a copy and just cannot be as good as the original. Although you must remember it is just my opinion since I have never purchased a clone but in my mind it is buying OEM parts or replacement parts for my vehicle. The replacement parts are never as good as OEM.

I watched youtubes on the original and the clone.Even the firing button is the same. The only difference I can tell is the clone says Kennedy on the tube.

IMO Some clones can be very good, and sometimes parts will even interchange, but the ones I have are still missing something compared to the original. IN some cases it's the machining or the finish is inferior. I have 3 purge clones and 1 authentic (i'm poor) and the authentic is superior to the clones. The clones look nice and vape very well, but there's difference. It must be taken on a case by case basis.

In truth it is hard for me to say..I don't own a clone of any authentic I own, but when I hold an authentic in my hand compared to a clone the diffrences are obvious....the workmanship and materials are of a far higher caliber. That being said a recent atty I was looking to buy costs about 10 times what it's clone sells for.It seems to me in the past you paid a price for higher workmanship and quality, now there seems to be your also paying a higher price for the status of having an authentic.

When it comes to a Mech mod, I would be especially careful to research the specific clone you are considering. Thing like springs, adjustment rings, magnet strength, and insulators can cause catastrophic failure and a very unsafe mod.
In some occasions the clone is superior, in others the clone is a total dud. In rare occasions the clones “fix” a problem the original had. In most cases; however, you get an inferior product that will give you a good concept on how the authentic performs.
Bottom line is, ask around for people that have the same clone from the same cloner, you want and decide from there. Each clone company makes their clones to a different standard. Think of it this way: there is a reason for a 100$ authentic to become a 15$ clone. It’s true capitalism, and the mod company, vendor and courier still needs to make money. Someone is cutting corners to make that money.

When I hold the authentic purge and one of the clones both brass there is a definite a difference in the quality of the brass. The authentic is much better quality brass. There’s just a better feel to it.

No way a clone is as good as my real vindicator. Doesn’t mean it won’t vape well. Get it and if you like it as much as I do, save for an authentic maybe. Also, the Kennedy 25 rda is a fantastic piece. I suggest you get one to go with the tube. I’ve seen clones of both for sale together.

There has been times when the actual owner of the authentic will call their own product a "clone" because someone is selling it for much lower than the MAP (minimum advertised price).

The Goon V1.5 debacle is the last time I remember it happening.

Are clones really inferior to the original mod?

Most cases, yes they’re much more inferior by a long shot. I’ve personally found Chinese Clones of Chinese shit to be damn close. Clones of quality Pinoy European/US gear not so much. The olds saying goes you get what you pay for. Clones on the most part skimp on quality material and machining, yes it does make a difference. Pulse they attempt to copy quality gear but also save money on quality of materials like insulators, machining and quality metal. Yes it makes a difference, big difference. IMO if you can’t afford the authentic just don’t get it. But again like I said before Clones of Chinese gear what I’ve found is there really isn’t much difference because in general they use the same cheap low quality materials.
