Hi All,

Beginner Vaper here, and I would appreciate some help.

I recently bought a Vaporesso Armour Pro with the Cascade Baby, and it was working fine initially. I was using the stock mesh coil in it, with Nasty Juice fluid on around 50W. Nice big clouds, great taste, all good.

Since in my country Nasty Juice is reeeaaaally expensive, I started to try different other juices, and found a company that has nice flavors and good reviews (also personal experience from a friend they are good).

Ever since then, I started having issues with my device. My main problem is, after a few days of using my vape, the taste is getting really mushy, almos like a swamp. I checked, and the original coil was burnt a bit, so I changed it to a NRG GT2 0,4 Ohm.
Issue persist, the smoke is really disappointing, flavor is not really there, and it starts to feel mushy after a day or so.

Is there a chance I messed up the settings of the device, or got a bad coil? Also I suspect the VG/PG ratio might be off, Nasty Juice was 30/70 (or the other way around) but the new ones were all 50/50. Could this cause an issue?

Many thanks!

It could be a lot of things. Since you changed coils, you might need to bump wattage either up or down some to get the flavor like you want it. Try 5 watt increments in both directions and see if you can dial it in better. Don't exceed the maximum wattage recommended for the coil you're using. That value is usually stamped on the coil itself.

Also you changed juice companies. Those of us here who mix our own juice can't help but learn that juices change over time. Some flavors fade and some get stronger. If the juice you bought was freshly made, within the first two weeks the flavor can change a lot. Also the quality of the bases and the nicotine that the company uses are important. It's possible that they cut corners and don't buy the best quality ingredients, or that the juice was old. And as you said, 50/50 is a little bit thin (and possibly a little harsh) for subohm vaping at 50+ watts. 30/70 or 20/80 is more commonly used (PG/VG).

It isn't uncommon for people to remark how much better the flavor is on mesh coils. Best and easiest thing might be to buy more of the coils you had, and a good-quality 30/70 juice.
