Need a lot more reading material on series vaping. Series can be dangerous and your asking the dangerous question. The lowest recommended ohm for series is .5 ohms. But you have to consider the heat Flux of your 24g I to that. It's going to be hot and fiery as hell. Be careful. Read up. At. 5 it's over 100 watts. Have to watch the amperage of your batteries. That's the main thing. Not building what your batteries can't handle

If itd s 24g clapton..whats your wrap? Very vague description so ohm guessing will be like @MrMeowgi said..dangerous without detailed info. #vapesafety

whats the best build for a kanthal 24g clapton?can you help me up and also what ohms has it been reading?
what wattage are you aiming for?

decide wattage
use ohms law to find resistance
check for safety against CDR of batteries
use steamengine.org to find amount of wwaps and inner diameter to meet your target

generally speaking, for series mech, you want high mass and high resistance. Your 24awg clapton is a good start, provided wrap is not too fine

I am familiar with ohms law and amps of my batteries...im using nichrome90 26g 8 loops 3mm guide reading at .29 ohms

In a series mod? The question you asked DogMan sounds different than you know what you're doing. If you have a coil calculator it's not hard to figure out. The same as your parallel builds. It depends on how hot you want it. Scorching a good .3 build will suffice. Cooler less frantic build go with .7. It's really up to how you want to vape. There's one guy here that swears by a series. 3 build but it's not for everyone. Start with a .5 and if you need more power, take a wrap or two of the coil and make it hotter.

FWIW

the noisy cricket 1 was a mech

the noisy cricket 2 maxes out at 6.5v, and has some protections

It depends what wattage you want to vape at
Okay let say for example i want to vape at aroung 258 watts?how many loops for a 24g clapton build for it to achieve that wattage...sorry im new to the building world but familiarizwd myself of the ohms law and the limits i have with building

Are you just using 258w as an example? I couldnt even imagine that kind of wattage.

You would want higher gauge wire

Just over 30 amps. 3 wraps of 24awg ni80 on 3mm.

You'd probably melt that coil when you fired it

A coil calculator like steamengine.org is great for things like this

Here ya go man have fun. Dual 24/32 Clapton 5 wrap will get you as hot as your batteries can handle. Add more wraps for less heat. I don't believe for a second you know ohms law or you wouldn't be asking these questions. A calculator is going to be your best friend. How have you been building thus far? Taking a stab at the coil and hoping it's safe? Don't hurt yourself. And for reference that 326 heat is going to be hot

Gonna be hot as hell. A high heat cspacity.
I have done a ni80 24 32. Dual coil on a regulated. Wasn't a fan. I think i changed that build within an hour. But it helped me learn what works 4me and what works in general.
WAS WAY HOTTER THAN I LIKE

Kanthal 24/32g clapton and i should’ve mention dual coil series build

Heh, for a series build, depends on what you like, really. I've used 20AWG, 22AWG, and 24AWG - with the following wraps - 36AWG, 32AWG, and 28AWG. My favorite for series is 24 / 28. It fires quickly, cools down quickly, and produces some chompin' flavors. It's also made with 316L. Not too hot, not too cold, but just right. They're 6-wrap @ 3.5mm ID. When completely cold, sometimes they take a second or two to heat up, but once they get rockin' your face gets hit with plumes.

I like 316L because of it's quick ramp-up time, and it's resistance to "changing". I used to use KA1 (Kanthal A1), but I didn't like how stiff the wire was. I also didn't like its ramp-up time. I moved to N80 (Nichrome-80) because it ramped up faster, seemed to cool off quicker, was easier to build with, and produced a more dense flavor. But, after awhile of using it, I noticed that it would "oxidize" and change color. It would get to being a greenish color after awhile - thanks to the nickel content. So I made the move to 316L, flavor was retained, ramp-up time seems to be close to N80, and it didn't change colors like N80 did after a few weeks of use.

Yes, I said weeks. Not one to like to swap out a perfectly good coil when it's not necessary. ;)

I'm an N80 vaper and for series I love a dual core alien 10-11 wrap 28g cores 38g alien wrap off a 26g decore cause you're only using two core wires, but slap a pair on the Noisy Cricket and you got yourself a hot vape!
