OK, so the local news shows up to do an article about a vape shop losing money because of a ban that would ban vaping in the shop.

You know this is the deal. They are taking pictures.

Would you decide to be a HUGE ASSHOLE and blow out the biggest clouds you possibly could for the big "anti vaping ban" photo???

Fuck no!! That's stupid as hell.

I have to admit that since I visit many many vape shops I think that some good ventilation should be a plan. For example since I moved my body up to my house here in Chicago I checked out this new Vape bar now it was packed but when you drive up and see a large cumulus cloud and only see silhouettes of people. New vapors will surely be kinda struck with a sense of "Ohhh my God!" syndrome. Maybe they do not build good ventilation into buildings anymore? It was a cool place met everyone hung out for an hour etc etc.. But I left thinking "Wow" what if this was 18 months ago when I stopped smoking?

Well that's about all the thinking I can do for the day

I don't see the problem. I read the article, and this guy (the manager) is far less of a moron than the city officials who claim that vaping is essentially the exact same thing as smoking. Let me repeat myself.....in the ARTICLE, the city officials are quoted as saying that VAPING is the SAME as SMOKING. The ONLY difference, they claim, is how you produce the energy to smoke, whether it be from fire, or an alternative heating element. THAT is their reasoning for banning vaping inside shops. How ignorant is that? Do they even believe in science?

Oh, I know that part is total bullshit and i hope it doesn't pass.
That HUGE cloud looks worse than smoking to the 80% of Americans that don't know any better.
The ones who watch the news and do no research, blindly believing everything they are spoon fed.
That was a bad choice of photo to allow the news crew to take of a manager.
He should have whipped out the ego/evod setup for the news.
But he wanted to look "hard" for his buddies = dumbass

I live just south of this shop and have visited this place. They are numb skulls. I also agree that this guy was a dumb ass for the picture. The city is already going crazy over the ecig's and this dumb ass does something like that. Instead of showing off, maybe he should have explained what vaping is all about and how it's helped people kick the smokes, and start felling better.

This whole cloud chasing business started in the Philippines and quickly caught in other places and so vaping went from a getting people off tobacco products to a fraternity type how many live gold fish can you swallow. Now I don't disparage anyone not having any fun however since all this started the focus of the community has definitely shifted imho. Being out in public and blowing these huge clouds will for sure freak people out and they'll fall right in with the ban crazy folks and say look at that it can't possibly be good for you to do that or be anywhere close to it. If we are going to be successful in defeating the bills our local politicians want to impose on us then we need the general public's support.

Fogging up the interior of a building till you can barely see the folks in it or disgorging a cloud of vapor twice the size of yourself in the close proximity to non vapers is not going to help that cause at all. Hey I like a nice dense, tasty warm plume of vapor on the exhale but when on the news let's put our best for forward and leave the cloud chucking to "competitions" and by all means your shop should have adequate ventilation. In other words we should be educating the public when given air time like this not showing off your low ohm build and high vg liquid.
