I didn't buy mine BNIB... got them second hand.

My Inkosi Micarta Insingo is $550 new, got it for $380 ... it was practically brand new

My small Sebenza 21 Micarta Insingo is $475 new, got it for $280 - used condition and price reflected it... sent it in, looks brand new now

Greatest thing about CRKs is the option to send them back and have them "Spa'd" or refurbished to brand new just for shipping and time.

15 years go by and you sharpened the crap out of your CRK and need a new blade, send it in.

Want a different blade just for SaGs, send it in ($150) will be sent back with the older one and a perfectly fitted new one and washers.

Thinking of picking up a second hand Inkosi plain jane...probably a small... should be able to nab one between $220-$250 since they are $375 new
What you're saying makes a lot of sense but it also involves FB and I am staying way the hell away from them! I could probably get one on fleabay but I just spent my play money budget for the foreseeable future on the WE130 with the attachments, 800/1000 and 1500/ 6 micron film. All I need to get now is the chisel attachment and a couple sets of strops.

I think the most expensive CRK is the TI lock ones that were discontinued... not a fan of them myself... but some are going for $2500+

I try not to have more knives than hands, and right now I have 4... at one time I had 11...

LoneWolf... a lady on FB/BladeForums... has over 170 CRKs, and many other brand knives, like Shirogorov's (Don't look it up, I'm warning you now)...

She laid them across a 8x4 table and took a group pick of the ones she says are keepers... there was over 150 there with an average price of $600, with some I know for sure were $1150... $100,000 in knives on a table :O

Any opinion on a deejo knife?

Cool inexpensive 440stainless blades...there are steels and then there are STEELS for knives, this is one of those for letter opening etc. but doesn’t matter much what anyone thinks as long as you’re happy with the knife

OK, you guys irked my curiosity and I just had to google deejo knives. They are really cool looking and some have blades of 3Cr13 and in one case Z40C13 (tho the etching on the blade makes it look cheesy).

Thanks, I just liked the looks of them.
I figured since it is an $80 knife it wouldn't be anything special, just wanted to know that it wasn't junk.

I think their design is contemporary, different...would have people ask about it, when you are holding it... but from an utilitarian point of view, its an expensive envelope opener.

You'd convert once you hit the Dvarw ;)

Dvarw!

Its not like I linked the all-in-one clone to fit almost everyones MTL style now ;)

I guess I'm not normal, I got 2 Drarw's, as so hypyed and they sit in the 'not bother use' box, everyone I see rant about the flavor with them, but I find them lacking in flavor, I tried a few different builds on them, but after a week with them, they got cleaned and put away, give me the BB with vapeshell any day over the dvarw.

Authentic Dvarw? I'd be happy to take one off your hands if so..

I really wished I was able to get along with the BB as well as I do with the Dvarw... just never happened.

I see so many rave about it and scream of the flavor it produces; Vapeshell, Doggy, Exocet, Insider, MF bridge, comfort etc... tried them all and they lacked in flavor... I tried not a few builds, but multiple builds over weeks, ranging from simple round builds that were raved about to complex micro builds and the flavor was meh... they got cleaned and put away and eventually sold... Give me a simple Pico 75w and a Dvarw any day over the BB ;)

BTW nailz the above was just parody and humor ;) but the truth

I wouldn't say the BB is the best flavor machine, I have authentic kayfun primes and they are my wow atty for flavor, but the BB is my work mod, because of it's compact size, it is great as a work mod for me, and don't have to worry about a tank getting broke, but I do find the flavor pretty good too, but this is why it is great we have choices, as we are all different ;)

uggh, just got an e-mail from SD Gas & Electric... guess the bastards have new pricing tiers rolling out... they have these lame graphs with peak hours off peak hours, Ultra off Peak hours etc... but graphs are X, Y info...not just Y... they don't give what the price difference is across the Y axis is compared to not switching...but they have YT videos saying how much better it is and supposedly a 1 year guarantee of price, that if I pay more they will credit my accounts (Which is a money grab, credit on something already paid for is interest they made not me ) was going to open up a chat with them, but they are closed... so tomorrow I get to have a chat with them and have them compile a bill based off daily usage and monthly usage during those times to see if what they are feeding us is actually advantageous or just a money grab.

I'm betting on money grab! They're not doing it out of the kindness of their hearts and desire to help the public.

I'm convinced... You can ask someone a simple question and they are truly afraid to answer straight.

Called SDGE about the new tiers, asked the simple question, "What is the KwH charge during these peak times?"

Here is a link that will answer all your questions... proceeds to link the Y graphs without a KwH cost...

"You do know those graphs are only for show right? They don't have an X Axis of information to make an education deduction of what would be better?... its fluff and nothing more, looks cool but useless"

Well we do offer the 1 year guarantee if your bill is higher we will credit the difference...

"You know that is just an elaborate way to have customers who do end up over paying that SDGE gets to collect interest on over payments which surpasses the amount credit it would reimburse... some people call this a cash grab, or deceit."

"I'll ask again, do you know the KwH cost during, "Super off Peak, Off Peak, and On Peak?" This is a fairly simple question even a 5 year old can answer... let me tell you the choices...'Yes... wait for it...No"

No I do not know what the KwH costs would be during these times...

"Really, but if I use 700Kwh in a month, you fucking know then... absolutely useless you've been."

Funny how they always know how much when it comes time to collect. Sorry you have to deal with that bullshit Don. I suspect that sort of pricing will spread to other places of it is successful. Maybe it had already.

So to further broaden our range of topics here I have a question. Ever have any issues where your ultrasonic cleaner will ruin your o-rings? I had it happen a couple of times after I've run the USC for two 10 min cycles. Water gets warm but certainly not hot.

Yeah, California and not producing any electricity for their own use has all the consumers paying a hefty premium. attach that to a failing infrastructure where there is so much loss during transfers only compounds things.

As it stands there is normal tier usage at like $0.007 a kilowatt, but it jumps to nearly $0.20 a kilowatt during high usage times... San Diego heat isn't bad like the desert cities, but the humidity is nasty come late June early July and persists til early October... 4 months of the AC on a majority of the day adds up fast.

As for the ultrasonic cleaner... no never had them ruin O-rings...but I would think that a lubed o-ring would be more elastic than one gone through a few moderate heat cycles... I normally pop them off and just run them under cold water and soap to clean, then pat dry. They are in the end an item that is expected to be replaced... same as hoses in your car...'cept those are reinforced... but the constant heat flux, hot, cold hot cold in time kill them just as orings...even worse for BMWs lol...don't even want to talk about the bio-degradable rubber German cars use (All)

Socal gas just got slammed with a huge fine for overcharging customers. Unfortunately we, the customers will face a price hike to cover the fines for them.

I went over my water bill recently and saw line charges as such...

$50: 6000 Gallons Supply
$50: 6000 Gallons out Sewage
$100: Total for 6000 Gallons

Not real costs, but how the fuck they figured that the same amount went into the drains as that went into the household?

I called about that one... they also had no fucking idea lol

How in the actual fuck is that legal?! You're only option is to go off-grid and even that is illegal it seems.

They will incrementally raise prices in what is called trickle down effect cost correction due to supply...but by %50 more than they normally would.

Told the wife many times, I'd totally do semi-off grid ( No utilities ) self sufficient living in the mountains... just say when...

Move to Montana, buy 100 acres, build a small 1000sqft home with a 20k sqft barn, drill a well with water purification and rain fill purification..install a 50k KwH solar array, erect a dual 20ft steel electrified barrier around the house with 4 point turrets, motion sensor with infrared cameras on the parameter of the immediate property (within 3 acre parameter) and have a bugout safe room built under the main house that channeled away into the woods hidden with blast doors every 50ft traveled. Outfitted with enough ammo, water, MREs to last 5 years...said bugout room would also have air filtration system ducted in from 5k yards away and built in a false tree in the woods so to hide its entry point...also have communications lead from another location hidden within a false tree... but most of all, and most importantly... have a high powered EMP bomb set up with parameter explosive charges ;) LOL

Wife always asks me why I want to buy more guns... my response is always the same.

There will come a day when the world will go to shit and people will want what we have at all costs, including taking them by killing... its at this moment you will be looking at me saying, "Fucking glad you bought those guns"

But just recently I told her...

If the world came to an end as we know and shit hit the fan... all the crap you thought mattered wont, and the asshole I am wont seem all so bad anymore...but we have to make a pit stop at the storage unit and load up ;) She didn't get that part haha

She only knows of the 2 guns we have in the house and said ammo LOL

Out of the whole catalog for 2019, only one knife interests me... Para-3 Maxamet

Tons of great knives, but with their recent price hike, they are coming dangerously close to high end knife prices.

This

https://chrisreeve.com/products/impinda

or this in a small plain jane

https://chrisreeve.com/collections/inkosi/products/inkosi-plain

will be my next purchase... leaning towards an Impinda

Although that $70 S90V slip joint I linked yesterday is in stock, and a killer price
