I understand that part. What I can't get on board with is a vendor that wants my money but doesn’t do right by me from the get go. Make it user friendly or don't offer the firmware upgrades at all.
Hi! Believe me, we immensely want to be user friendly and hope all users vape the best...:blah:
We've just started to schedule a solution to the firmware upgrade thing, as I replied to else above, would be likely putting the newest firmware publicly on the webpage with all our specifications, what you think?:):)

Seriously? You refuse to enjoy vaping Rage - the Legend?:sad::sad:
Well, after being aware of you refusing to send back the device for upgrade, we're trying to work out another solution which would be likely putting the newest firmware on the webpage with all our specifications, and hey, you're a tech you're welcome to check it out and give some suggestion, what do you think?;);)
I would personally love that. Honestly, I SERIOUSLY want theRage and that would be the clincher to me doing so. It's an amazing mod and really sturdy (which is a main factor for me wanting it so bad.) Thank you for considering thissolution and coming here to the community. I really look forward to seeing what Desire Designs brings to our future.

So if I buy one of your devices I have to pay for purchase+shipping and then pay another shipping charge for an update? Why not just make the updates user friendly like everyone else ?
Haha...good point!
You know what, our team has just discussed initially and working to get it be user friendly. How important your feedback is! Come on vapers, throw to us!

Fire whoever said, "Look at these models we got for our new ad campaign."

Nothing about those models make me want to buy your product.

The photos of what looks like your employees at your booth at a trade show?
Now, those look like real people. Feature them making and using the product.
That would make me more likely to buy your product than any of the models on the website.

Are there any plans to make a mechanical mod?

Desire makes mods that look like works of art in my opinion. Are there any plans to make a mechanical mod? I would be very interested to see what that would look like.

Hey!
How was your Labor Day Holiday?
Do you have any idea of what kind of mech mod you prefer? I'm about to make a conversation with the product R&D team, this is worth discussing.;)

I know allot would say a tube mod, but There are so many of them out there (although I do love them haha.) I think that a dual battery parallel mechanical box mod would be amazing. I personally have a couple of dualbattery unregulated mods, but I do not have a true mech in dual battery and would love one myself. I have seen some beautiful devices come from Desire and can't wait to see the design you come up with for this endeavor!

I was thinking along those same lines, but parallel mechs are a niche inside a niche so if it could be switched between parallel mode and series mode, that would probably attract more buyers. The only parallel mech that I currently own is the Strombreaker mod by Vaperz Cloud, but it is a triple 21700 battery mod so even though the weight of the mod itself (i.e., without the added weight of the batteries) is not heavy by any means, and even though it is ergonomically shaped (similar to how the Rage squonker is ergonomically shaped also), a lot of people are going to say it really is clunky still nevertheless. But to make it switchable between parallel mode and series mode, in order to make it safe with regards to the user of the mod remembering to insert the batteries correctly (using the correct battery orientation), I'd say the battery contacts would need to be designed following a principle that is similar to the contact on the battery door of the Hammer Of God V3.2 as that one serves the purpose of a fuse that melts if a battery is inserted wrong. (My Hammer Of God "Hellhound" also came with a spare contact that was inside a separate bag, not tossed into the same bag that had all the other spare parts in it, and, both bags were stored inside the mod to save on packaging material and space.)

That said, I also like the form factor of the Noisy Cricket II-25 by Wismec, as that one makes a 25mm atomizer sit flush on it despite it really is both small and ergonomically shaped as far as the shape and dimensions of the body of the mod are concerned, but it isn't a mech mod, and, there are a few things I don't like about the safety design of the Noisy Cricket V1 even though the revision of it that has the knurled button is not a bad mech mod, it actually hits hard, and it's dirt cheap so it does prove that a mech mod doesn't have to be super expensive to perform well, but the V1 will only make a 22mm atomizer sit flush, and, in terms of the safety it would have been loads better if I could eject the batteries at the simple flick of a spring loaded latch on the bottom just like the Hammer Of God V3.2 and the Stormbreaker. Another example of a regulated mod that could have been a palpable mech mod IMO in terms of the look and feel of the mod is the Double Barrel V3 by Squid Industries. If they'd make it a parallel-convertible-to-series mech with the side firing mechanism of the Side Piece by Purge Mods, then I'd probably be yelling "Shut Up And Take My Money".

T there isn't much I can say about this, except......YES! And I personally think the Desire could pull this off. So hard to find a great TRUE mech nowadays. That is what I'm craving myself

Let's not exaggerate too much... Kevin Crump of R6two still churns out great TRUE ones, except maybe if you're against them, in which case your opinion simply doesn't matter anyway. :shades:

I have a Rage , by far it is my favorite mod . I had the " check battery " issue , got very sick of dealing with the people in China , the only thing they did not ask for was DNA . I decided to repair it myself . Works great now , it was piss poor soldering job that could have been better , much better. Now i'm looking to buy another but found many shops here in Toronto Canada are not carrying them due to issues such as the the afore mentioned . I asked a shop owner , he told me that distributors got sick of the number of returns that they had to deal with . In the future you may want to keep better QC in production runs . I truly hope you guys don't become another SMOK , around town their name is synonymous with junk . I thought the website was a joke at best . Thank you immensely for the easier update . Be well .
