It's builds like these that make me want to never stop trying! I will be at that level one day! That is pure art!
Thanks so much my man.
But I’m just a beginner here. Got into this at the second half of last year, could barely do aliens lol.
I looked at @raymo2u magnificent coils and thought . Damn. How is that possible? I need to learn how to do this things. He and masters builders like @WPMac helped me a lot (and still do, thanks god, lol), and others great guys also, like @CrazyChef v2.0 and @Shredtravolta for example. I’m trying hard to get to this guys level. So, all I can say is have fun, listen to those dudes and practice :) in a few you’ll be doing builds better than me.
Very happy with your post, bro.
Best.
Peace

Beautiful brother!
I know the feeling. Other than the interlock I haven't had any real content for weeks. Been trying to hard to get a complicated hybrid that just wont cooperate. I should really knuckle under and work on my photography. I know there's a ceiling for me based on only being able to shoot with a phone. I need to work towards that cap. Maybe I'll Do more reasonable builds and try to up my photo game instead.

It’s crazy how tight you get em. When I try them they seem semi tight and then I wrap the coil and it’s like ehhhh could be better lol. I think maybe I should use a higher gauge than 38 and try a little bit bigger ID... but yours is awesome! I’ve had a lack of posting as much as I’d like too, work life and family life has been crazy.

Half stags are a great vape. You should look into trying a 1/2 fork. They are a similar vape, except the fork is a little cooler (temp) coil. YOu can push more power for faster ramp and, imho, a more satisfying hit.
Is a half fork like a half pitchfork? I like the easy version of the pitchfork. I gets lazy sometimes :D.

Yah just a 1/2 pitchfork. I like 28g with 2x 4 ply stacks of .3 and a 40g stag/fuse. 38 works as well but it lengthens the ramp time a bit. I would go as far as to say this is one of my favorites to vape. It's just so time consuming to throw together for an ADV. I don't stock up on coils ... I just make them as needed, and it's typically a situation where I want/need to make a quick build.

Hahaha, kids... Mine are studying in the mornig. Man... i feel lazy the entire day due to wake really early to prep things to send them to school... I have two, so lots of braksfast and snakcs to do at 5h45 am, multiples asks to them to set the bags and all the shit that comes with it lol

And i also with low time to hit the drill. Normally i just build in weekends, but even in the weekends im having trouble to find time.

And @Shredtravolta , i had a lot of issues to get the alien staggs tight also. Bother @raymo2u a lot. Mine got better after practice (of course) and by roling a tube on it after the wire is done. When i was coiling without rolling the tube they didnt get as tight as i want.

Best.

I've got 6 (3 biologically mine), I've taken care of 3 kids since I was 19...so the house is in almost a constant state of chaos when everyone is home :D

That’s a cool idea I had never thought of making a half pitchfork before but now that you mention it, it would seem like the right amount of mass for a relatively low ohm N80 Build. Thanks for the idea!

Yah, a lot of people like to frame the outside to fill in the last fuse gap. Or just skip 1 so the second fuse is the last gap. I like to leave it open like a 1/2 stag and still skip 2. It reduces the fuse mass a bit and allows for the faster ramp.
I'm sure I posted this one somewhere. But here's my prefered specs and fuse pattern
28g Ni80, 8x .3 KA1, 40g Ni80, 5 wraps on a 3, .1 ohm dual coil

So @WPMac suggested that I try a half fork so I built this, all N80, and it vapes great! Like really well. Granted I made a couple mistakes, I shouldn’t have used 36g for the staggering and fusing I should have used 40g, the amount of plys I used at each stage was goofy, so I could do it better with practice, but honestly it vapes great so I can only see it getting better. Thanks @WPMac!!

I generaly keep 1 atty with a non complicated coil setup. They hit good and i can build them in a fraction of the time. But a clean build is a clean build

I love my roundwire builds lol. I’m not very good at Clapton’s and I’ve never attempted any of the more elaborate coils builds lol. I’ve thought about trying some of the paracord knot and braids I use but I dunno how well that’d go.

I really need to stuff a set of naked wire coils in my rebirth. It's one of the better Attys I've ever purchased. Curious to see how it vapes.

Told yah. 1/2 forks aren't just a pretty face. They are a spectacular vape :D
Plus you get the added benefit of many variations with the same specs. And they all vape a little different.

I just got mine today and it’s pretty nice. Lots of airflow and tons of flavor.

Honestly, most modern attys have plenty of airflow. It's all about how smooth it is, how it hits the coils, how it transitions from incoming (through the AFC) to outgoing (through the tip), how well it condenses the air pressure when closing it down as to not just hit the coils with a puff instead of a stream. The rebirth excels in almost all of these. It lacks a little in the latter ... but that's not a problem for me since it's perfect for my vape style wide open. At the most I'll close off 1 set of holes if my build comes out higher than anticipated, and for some specific juices.

I've put a few builds in it at this point and, for the most part, it is the ideal set-up for my ~.12 (post-fire) 100-115watt style. I love bottom airflow on any atty, it almost always produces great flavor due to the fact that it doesn't have to flutter around inside before it comes out the top ... just a straight shot passed the coils pushing the freshest vape directly out the tip!

Very true, I've always personally found that a drip tip with a wide bore suited me well for my style of vaping. I've never really preferred those drip tips that taper up, they just didn't fit my style of low resistance single coil vaping. I love the Kennedy Trickster RDA because it has a great single coil airflow option along with a dual coil airflow option just in case I felt like building dual coils. It works with just about any tube mod or regulated mod and I find the Kennedy style dual posts give you plenty of room for coil installation and gel nicely with my usual 5-6 wrap staple variants. You can do 4 wraps (3.5) and those will hit well too. A good RDA and quality coils made out of quality wire will make all the difference in the world. I love the top down clamp style Goon RDA as well (as you can see from a lot of my posts) and as a 24mm RDA its hard to find easier installation with more room. It is a subjective thing and no one way is going to work for everyone but I've realized there's no wrong way to vape as long as it is satisfying and safe.

Yah man I'd love to get a Kennedy ... but it's hard to spend 90 bucks on an RDA when there great ones out there for 30-40 (and sometimes cheaper). This conversation reminds me, I was going to pick up a VooPoo Pericles. Element has them for 23 bucks at the moment. At that price it's worth picking up any atty that looks like it might be good just to test it out.

Damn fine lookin' builds up in here lately! I haven't built a coil in quite a while... But, I happened to find the Goon 25 for under $30 shipped, so I splurged and got one. Was gonna put a set of my leftover aliens in it, but I said to myself, I says,"Self? You gotta do somethin' different!". So I did, and made a set of framed staples. Nothing fancy, but they vape SO DAMN GOOD! I don't know if it's the RDA, the coils, or the two together, but it's a damn fine vape. The specs are 8x0.3 KA1 cores, 30g KA1 frames, 42g N80 binding. The pair comes in at 0.18Ω.

I totally understand what you mean and I totally agree with you... but I'm still glad I spent the 90 bucks that time cause I've been using the same RDA ever since.:giggle:

I have an IG account now . @Shredtravolta. I know nothing about social media...
Kent Hill of Twisted Messes yesterday on Twisted Sundays (live streaming event on IG every Sunday) was saying like if you post that the worst shit just happened to you and then you get a reply that goes like "amazing post!", these days that's just what social media is about. Made me feel right at home as you probably could've guessed... :giggle:

:crazy:I feel aged beyond my years. As i am not apart of and have no interest in social media.
I was into facebook for a number years. But, I used it as a connection to the people I know across the country (family and friends). I lost interest in it when it started to become a politically segregated cesspool. It's not about connecting with others ... it's about reinforcing you own belief system and becoming more close minded. Like minded people surround themselves with like minded people, congratulate each other on how much better they are than those who don't agree, and pretend like no1 else exists ... Kind of like California and New York :giggle::giggle::giggle:

I use IG as less of a social media and more of a youtube style media. I share content I enjoy and find content I enjoy and can almost completely leave the 'typical media' out of it. It works quite well that way ... at least for now ;)
