HighNic-Fewer Puffs vs LowNic More Puffs

I was just curious on folks thoughts on this...I had dropped down to where I was mixing 3nic, but I was vaping a lot more and then I had some problems in various aspects of my life and went to mixing 6nic, but still vaping a lot...I was curious if I mix 9+nic would my system get the nic concentration it needs and require fewer puffs (if my lungs could handle it)?
No right or wrong answers, just asking opinions of my fellow vapers and their thoughts.

studies have shown higher nic, with less puffs is healthier

kinda splitting hairs though, and some people's habit is more about the hand to mouth puffing action than nic

just try it, and see IMO

I only really inhale the ramp up on the higher nicotine’s to save the burning lung of a full hit

Honestly, when I picked up my vape after being gone like a year, I started mixing at 6mg for my dl vapes. I found that I was vaping a TON so I tried mixing at 9mg. I still seem to vape constantly. I even got some juice in 12mg. It still hasn't slowed me down. Now it could have to do with my increasing stress factor, I don't know. All I know is that it seems that it almost doesn't seem to matter for me, I still vape like crazy. I even do my 18mg nic mtl constantly.

Honestly, I think I vape mostly because I love to vape. Nic is definitely needed, but concentrating doesn't seem to matter :)

im gonna go with yes on that. i started out on 12mg in my starter kit (atlantis tank), and when i upgraded away from that into a re-buildable, i went back and forth between 3 and 6mg for a while (12 was too much for me on fused claptons in a cloud chasing rda). i came to the conclusion that 3 costs twice as much money because i vape it twice as fast as 6, and that switching between them sucks for a couple days. going down to 3 felt like it had no nic, and the flavor was kinda muted. going up to 6 felt too strong, and at times/certain juices all i could taste was nic. after a day or two my intake/dosage, as well as my actual puffs and 'technique', change to accommodate the change in juice and all is well.

i say go for it and see what happens. my guess is that it should only take a few days to acclimate to it and see how it actually works. the first day or two might be rough, but you might find its an improvement once you get over that part.

one more note is that i dont go through that uncomfortable transition when i am using high strength salt nic juices (20+mg) in my mtl setups that i use at work. i guess mtl is different enough from cloud chasing that both of them are 'just right' and i dont compare them the same way that i do when i am using two different juices in the same rig.

This is DTL on a mech squonker, lol, crazy I know, that’s why I have just hit the ramp up before it gets full blast

I mix some higher MG liquids for times I can't vape as much but turns out I kill the same size tank in less time. My regular level is 3MG but even when I make a 24MG I still kill the tank in about the same amount of time. For me higher MG's just means more at the end of the day. Raising my regular level doesn't make a difference in my case. YMGMV

yep my vaping is more about the action of vaping than the nic now.
after 4 years...
I vape about 1.5 mg/ml.
If I increased my nic a lot I would just get nic headaches and have trouble sleeping.

I vape 14mg all day. If i go below i am the worlds biggest asshole. But to the question at hand i do keep a bottle mixed at 26 for times i cant chain vape all day long. But i still seem to burn through a good amount of juice either way. Some people bump their nic down. I seem to keep bumping mine up instead.

Whatever works for YOU.
That will not work for me though.
I can be an asshole with or without nic ;)

I tried upping nic to vape less, it didn’t work for me. I just had a week long headache. I vape whenever my hand reaches for it; sometimes that's quite often and sometimes not. Isn't generally a conscious act with me.

I need nic in my system so my brain will work and I can concentrate. Basically for me it is an ADD medication.

Since moving from MTL to R-DL I've lowered nic from 12, sometimes 18, to 6. Don't plan to go any lower, or at least not any time soon.

I don't chain vape, so don't see much point in manipulating nic so I'll vape less.

If I was vaping so much that it was interfering with my life in some way, I guess I probably would try increasing nic a little at a time to see what happens.

I suppose higher nic and less vaping would only work if the vaper has enough discipline to truly vape less. But as a recovering alcoholic/addict i know that's not something i am capable of. Lol

Don't mean to make light of what you said, I'm saying this in all seriousness...it's like me eating one potato chip. It ain't happening.

Unfortunately food is a problem for me. And it's either moderation or failure. There is no abstinence. Closest I could come would be to get all Buddhist about it and remove "attachment," which translates to never eating anything that makes my eyes light up. Dry bread and unseasoned beans every meal, basically.

i eat all i want from 3pm to 9.
then i fast 18 hours.
i have to do it that way because i can't go to bed hungry.
i've done it so long it's just how i live.
i have zero hunger before 3pm.

That’s pretty much me as well, but around midnight or 1am I may grab a small snack bag size of chips to munch on just to keep a little hunger at bay.

Some people think they know everything but there is edible Antifreeze like this used in boats water systems.

499848_LRG.jpg

Key Features

  • Non-toxic virgin propylene glycol formula
  • Meets industry standard for burst protection in copper pipes to -50°F (-46°C)
  • Added inhibitors prevent corrosion in engine components and seals including aluminum, brass, copper and solder
  • Ready to use—does not need to be diluted
  • Safe for potable water systems and engines
  • Alcohol free to reduce evaporation and maintain protection levels throughout the winter
  • Ideal for regions that experience temperature ranges between 14°F to 18°F (-8°C to -10°C); for colder regions we recommend using non-toxic Pure Oceans antifreeze with a -60°F or -100°F rating

I started at 24mg, found that way too much, and went to 18mg for a short time. Then I started mixing DIY and have settled in at 10mg for the last 3 years. That's plenty but not too much for me. Play around with it and you will find what works right for you. Your body will tell you what your comfort level is. I tried mixing some salt nic at my 10mg rate and found that it was too much.

I’ve been experimenting with keeping different setups with different nic strengths, the strongest being for work when I have to wait until breaks, and then different levels from low to mid at home depending on stress level or if I want to chain vape or know I’ll be doing something where I’ll be vaping a lot or doing something where I won’t vape a lot like when I have my son. Good thing I have enough setups to run this kind of system.
Funny thing, I thought to myself not long ago (as I’m sure most of us have) that I thought vaping was supposed to be cheaper than smoking, but with all the setups (mods, atties, tanks, batteries, chargers, building supplies, mixing station, etc) that I’m looking at on my shelf and graveyard and thinking of the vapemail currently en route, I think that might be disproved now, lol, oh well.
