Kennedy Slam Cap

I've seen a few Kennedy threads popping up recently and thought why not add another one, right.

Anyone here own one of the Slam Caps that Kennedy offer? If so, any thoughts? I was thinking about getting one for my Kennedy 24 just to see what's up with it.

Wondering if I'm better off just setting 30 dollars on fire or if it's a worthy addition to the arsenal.

I don't own the cap, but I can attest that the Stub Dogg drip tips are a noticeable improvement to the flavor when compared to the original, standard-size, shiny metal drip tips. So the reduced distance between the top edge of the drip tip and the coils is definitely an important factor, and, especially if vaping outdoors when the weather gets cold the height of the drip tip in cohort with the drip tip being metal versus it being a different type of material tends to become an important factor also, as it does affect the warmth of the vape.

As for the height of the cap itself, it affects airflow so it too can noticeably change the vape experience. Switching from the standard cap on my CSMNT to the Shawty cap yielded a clear and immediate improvement in flavor, but with a bottom airflow RDA using a shorther cap is likely going to bump into its own different/unique set of limitations as it pumps the hotness up vertically, directly into your mouth. The fact it's made from ultem shouldn't make a real difference excepting only under (very) cold weather conditions, or if you can actually feel the cap of your RDA is always starting to get hot due to what build you use, and how you use it.

How come? The airflow comes from the bottom of the rda and does not seem to change with that cap
After the vapor rises up from the coils, a large part of it hits the dome-shaped inside of the top area of the cap before it is compacted to some certain extent as it glides out through the drip tip. The distance between this dome-shaped area and the coils is what additionally affects both the flavor and the feel of the vape... similar to how the height and the bore (and also the shape, e.g., a bore the top part of which is tapered vs not tapered, etc.) of the drip tip also affects that, but different, BUT... depending on what coils you put inside and depending how you vape on them, how you wick it up, etc., either you might or you might not notice a difference big enough for you to justify buying the slam cap in question so there is no standard answer as for whether it could be worth in this regard.

Yep I've got a couple for my Kennedy's and love them. They run cooler, don't retain the heat and being closer to the coils better flavor.

One guy writes a run on book of shit and one guy writes two sentences that cut right through the shit and tells you what you need to know.

Please no fighting, yous guys...

I ended up getting a Trinity Glass Cap instead of the Kennedy Slam Cap. It was maybe more of a functional decision to get the Trinity Cap because I can see my squonking action more clearly... It was also half the price. I find the flavor to be better with the original Kennedy top cap though. The bore for bigg succ action isn't nearly as wide on the Trinity Cap which I think is muting the flavor. I'll order one of the Slam Caps from Kennedy when I get some extra money to burn. I'm not crazy about the pissy ultem, but I think the wider bore and reduced chamber would be worth it in the end.

Sorry... Kind of another uninformative post on the topic I started, but I'll get to the goods eventually.
