Michael C. Hall did a series based on a Harlen Cohen novel, called "Safe" for Netflix. Also the old Dexter series is available on Netflix, at least I think it's still there.

Hi! Glad your doing better! Next month I'll find out about my joys of autoimmune and if I'm kicking the disease. I'm not looking forward to a liver biopsy. The last one (the only one) I had I started to code. (My BP was 38/12 when everything turned blurry).

Stay healthy!

Yep, Dex is still there. Tried watching it but couldn't 'get into it". Kind of disappointed my wife. "Thought you liked Dexter," she asked. I did for maybe an episode or so. Then, well ... So, I don't watch it. About all I look at with any interest is WWE wrestling and about fed up with it lately. Very few movies let me stay awake. I kind of doze off or drift away from them after a minute or two, then don't care to watch because well either it's no fun/entertaining, stale, or gee why did I write that? I mean that in the sense of feeling I could have written whatever it was and done a sight better, or worse, or just on par. "Lather, wash, rinse, repeat," it says on shampoo bottles. :)

I'd say I wished I could understand the world better, but I'd be fooling myself. Rather understand me better, but then if I did I might stop being me and join the universe. Did start looking at Catch 22 on Hulu. It's, well, okay. Got caught up, wonder if/when more will come. Not sure it really needs more, possibly good left off where it left off.

Got dishes done, laundry all folded up & brought upstairs, cleaned our two toilets, checked windows to see if they needed cleaning. Worked myself out of housework again. I might sweep and swab the galley on morrow. Need something to do but not sure what.

Heh, kind of sounds like my day.
Household chores interspersed with a nap with kitty, a run to the store, and watching the new Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie. That was hella trippy. I've never seen animation in that style before, it's a mix of styles but it works..

Have you seen the trailer? It's kinda psychedelic and intense at times, if any of ya are susceptible to seizures I'd be cautious there.. ;)

I'd also recently watched The Lego Movie 2 which was fun and pretty crazy. As well as the excellent The Wandering Earth. That was an amazing space thriller/drama, IMO.

I haven't even heard of the wandering earth. Into the Spider Verse looks good though. Plus, how can you go wrong with Spider Man and bacon....I mean a pig haha. Need to watch Lego Movie 2 also.

The Wandering Earth is a Chinese blockbuster sci-fi action/thriller/drama that was picked up by Netflix with insane CGI/FX, an immense scope, and an impossible premise. But, much of sci-fi is eh?

The version I watched was in Chinese w/ Eng. subs, but I believe there is an English dubbed version also if you can't do subs.. Me, I like the insanely epic stuff like this or Independence Day, Solaris, Armageddon and such. Disaster movies are my fave genre. :D

First half of the flick is kinda meh with character-building and drama stuff, then it gets crazy. The CGI is damn impressive throughout though.

Don't watch the 5min trailer, it gives too much away. Here's one:

I also watched Overlord, I liked it. It is definitely not one for the kiddos though.

Mortal Engines was pretty awesome too, had a few weak spots but generally was a fun watch. WETA did much of the FX so ya know that is gonna be good. It was directed by Christian Rivers with a screenplay partially done by Peter Jackson. ;)

ThanksUOTE="nadalama, post: 2494559, member: 111451"]We moved from NC to Savannah, GA in JUNE 1997. If you've never been to the deep south in June, you haven't missed a thing. It wouldn't have been much worse if we'd moved in August.

As @CaFF said, a 24' UHaul truck, with a piano in it, me and my sister and my husband and my 16-year-old son to unload. Back then I could nearly hold my own with being on the lighter end of that piano. I was really strong in my younger days. If I had to move now, guess I'd just take a match to all this crap and drive my car on down the driveway.

Once when hubbs and I were moving from Athens, GA back to NC, we got pulled in Asheboro, NC in the rented truck. We had noticed for about 20 minutes previously that there was a growing line of cop cars of all types stacking up behind us. Come to find out, they'd had a report of someone moving drugs in a white panel truck. They told my husband he was going to have to unload the truck on the side of the road. He said, if you want it unloaded, YOU unload it, but you'd better put everything back.

We sat there for nearly two hours while they went through our stuff. They put almost everything back, although it wasn't like we'd packed it. It was a miracle that half our stuff wasn't torn all to pieces.

I had to just stay in the cab of the truck. I have one of those faces - everything I think shines right out on my face, and I knew if I got out of the truck, I'd be in trouble. They did come and take my driver's license and I guess they checked my record with it.

You just never know what's gonna happen.[/QUOTE]
Do you know where I have been in USA? Deep south, Tennessee, north Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Indiana, but Georgia is where my husband is from. I've been in winter and summer. It's hot, humid hot. The people are very friendly, and they love my accent. I love the southern accent. Albany Georgia, on a 360acre cattle and pecan farm. I rather live there than Australia. I loved it. Hubby prefers Oz.

I watch a show called Ghost Adventures. The main guy on there is named Zack Bagans. He has a haunted museum with all kinds of haunted relics, one of which is the actual Annabelle doll. The actual doll is a Raggedy Ann doll. They used a porcelain doll for the move because they figured it would be creepier for dramatic effect haha.

Another horror flick based on a true story is The Amityville Horror. That one is a haunted house. It's crazy.

Thanks, knocked me around lol. I'm down to 3mg prednisolone and haven't flared yet. Good luck next month, get sedated lol. I had a heart angiogram and had no sedative because they couldn't find a vein. I was packing it. I kept saying wtf you are going up a big vein now you fool lol. But guess what, I didn't feel a thing, so never be scared of one of them. I'm one of the rare disease unlucky buggers, but I am happy I got through. What do you have again? If that's not too personal. I'm seeing a natural doftdo too, she got me off eggs and legumes, I think I told you. It helps. Also, I still vaped. I didn't let anyone see tho, you could imagine the crap I would cop. Didn't hurt my windpipe at all. The cold air hurts it, not my carrot cake ejuice lo!

I've seen the classic Exorcist, but not the new one. I intend in it though. Amityville and Exorcist are both based on true stories though also. I enjoy true crime shows too. Shoes like Cops and Live PD also. If you ever want to see a pretty funny cop show, check out Under Arrest. It's Canadian Cops. I saw it on Netflix. The cops are so nice and the suspects talkso much trash to them, but the cops never lose their cool. Me and my mother-in-law laughed so hard watching that show.

The lady psychic/medium her first name Loraine(sp?) only recently died. Wife spotted it as an article in the news. I had felt it. Suffice it to say she's missed. I think she was involved with Amityville, not too sure, know she did work somewhere that a deamon had taken over a home using poltergeists to begin(which of course led to the movie franchise of the name). She was involved with a lot. Met her briefly once, in person, kind of in passing. I try to stay away from things now. Not that meeting her caused that, no not by any means, she actually welcomed me. Just that I rather stay away. Got the gift but also got the choice, well most of the time. *chuckles*

I think he got the museum from another man, John something I think. But no, not ever watched Ghost Adventures, nope, nope, not t'all, especially not the dybbuk box episode. *cough and grin* Might want to look up Dead Files if you can find it. The lady psychic for me and wife makes the show seem like a "show" in the sense that she 'presents" more drama to stuff than we think is needed. But different folks go different ways.

I have autoimmune liver disease. Off the prednisone (still on Imuran) and doing low carb/keto to help with inflammation (as well as losing weight). You are right on the sedation. They cannot fully sedate me while doing the biopsy. I did try it without the drugs. LOL my body reacted with a vasovagal syncope response. I will take the pain shot. I ended up getting it anyways and epinephrine

What autoimmune disease/disorder do you have? (If I may ask). I use to belong to a autoimmune disorder facebook page. People started posting their liver transplants and I started freaking out. I got out of those groups quick and fast. It added to my anxiety.

G'day peeps, not much going on here today.

Sipping a nice Running Pump Roasting "Papua, New Guinea organic coffee" with some Mexican chocolate in it. Munching on a banana 'cuz couldn't decide on brunch and didn't feel like cooking.
It's a nice compliment to the coffee and Tasty! :coffee2:

It's chilly again today, windy but with seasonable temps. Not bad. Weather can't make up it's damn mind, so that's normal. ;)

Oh, I'm not knocking her accuracy. She just seems to "stilt" how it's presented though. That might be training/experience though as well, give herself "distance' as a "safe buffer". "Now, little psychic children please remember that this man here, the one we call Mr. Dog *steps from shades, then back* is the only one we let "get nasty" with the monsters. We create buffers and let monsters beat up our walls. Mr. Dog, he sinks his teeth into the monsters."

Wear their clothes & smell like them. :) ;) No, do not fear what cannot happen. Somebody asked, @midknight420, they'll know. :)

Crappy over-exposed cell photo, but ya can get the jist.

A building I often walk by has these landscaped all over the place, it's amazing when they are all in bloom.

Beautiful day today for a walk, but the weekend is gonna get nasty before it gets hot again next week,

I almost forgot about posting. Anyone here have any ideas on pods? I'm getting one of my workers at work (she does a great job of keeping the unit under control) a pod system. Sadly, I haven't been keeping up with the latest and greatest ecig items. I did give her a kanger and aspire nautilus (which was really well used). I'm having problems with the kanger box mod myself changing out/reading the coil wanky. (Of course I tried it on a pico and its perfect) Thus, I can't trust the kanger to give her a decent vape.
Any ideas on pod type systems?

That to me might as well be a $64 trillion dollar loaded question. Apologies, not been so trendy as to keep abreast of the jolly pods. Not sure I have desire to use pods either, except to do laundry. That however is juxtaposition for cracking wise but also my honest view. Yes, I know the differences and yes, I conflated the two things on purpose, it was called humor once. :) I know @Artemis will comprehend it, other readers might not.

Might check out the Wocket (think I spelled it wrong.) pod system. It's a Orion type pod system, but seen some good reviews on it. Looks like a promising device

I looked. A little pricey for a gift. I might just get her a Joyetech penquin atopack. I had a dolphin (Joyetech) but rehomed it.
Might look at the Smok Nord too. I just watched the Grimm Green review of it and he really liked it too. Simple flat cig-a-like pod system. I hear the Penguin is good also. Of course for mtl, might look at anything Innokin also. They are known for good mtl devices.

Good news! I found a
Aspire Odyssey Mini Kit
I had bought it during xmas at eightvape. I gave a few away so I thought I didn't have anything. It should work okay (since its a gift). I think I paid 15 bucks for it. I'll tell her where to shop if she wants to pursue vaping. I work in rehab/long term care. I swear that every employee smokes. A few vape but most folks smell like a ashtray.

That's awesome! I hope that your co-worker can make the switch. I'm working on my cousin atm. I gave home that obs cube mini kit that I won. He seems to like it and has cut down on smoking. Will be a process. It's never easy at first.

I spent some time last night looking at some pods. IDK if I could be happy with one.

I've been looking at various ones for a couple of months now. Just can't bring myself to commit to buying coils again. Would rather get a 22mm RTA and a battery cylinder like the Wismec Vicino. Maybe even a Tesla Punk 86W.

I still buy coils but I'm trying to learn how to do my own coils. My problem is my attention span and time. I've tried for the past 8 (out of 9 years of vaping) to make my own coils. This last time I purchased a coil master. When I have the time I'm going to do it! :)

However, for me I see pods as going backwards. IDK I could be wrong. The only thing appealing is the form factor for discreet vaping.

The tesla punk is nice.

My train of thought always takes me back to the same place. It happened again just now.

I start thinking about a pod, then I move to a regulated tube with a replaceable battery and an RTA, and then I think, well what really is the difference between that and an RTA on a small mod like my Sigelei Spark? There isn't enough difference for me to even spend $20 on it. And that's where I always just give it up. :)

I have two Sig Sparks and a Mini Book that are all small enough to be extremely portable. Of course the rub comes in when I put a 0.4 ohm coil in an RTA and have to run a small, single-battery mod at 30 watts or more - the battery life isn't great. However, some of these tube pens that are on the market now would have to be even worse. They have 0.4 ohm or 0.6 ohm coils in them, and built in batteries with 1100 or 1500 or 1800 mah, which is way less than my green Samsung batteries.

To me, there's just no point. I can't rationalize it any way I try! :)

When it comes to coils, it really helps to have the right tools. The right scissors, screwdrivers, and tweezers help a lot. Geekvape makes a decent toolkit. The one I bought is made by Avid Artisan, $23.99 from seller LightningVapes on eBay. Just remember that a coil doesn't have to be gorgeous to work properly - some of the first ones I made were pretty pitiful looking but they worked fine. As long as ohms are good and all pieces of wire are secured in posts, it don't have to be pretty! :)
