I worked all day, but it was damn nice weather. I can only hope this global cooling never stops...!

If one had a guarantee that the Phoenix area would always get your current temps, I wouldn't mind living there (OUT of town, of course), but my old bod can't handle 115-120 anymore. But I am real tired of this cold shit we're getting. They promise it will go up in a few days. Yeah, right...

I see they are "guess-in" it's supposed to, have to wait and see I assume.

It's was so chilly here tonight I had to close the doors and windows....almost June...that is unheard of. It's never been this chilly at the end of May in as many years I can remember.

Hey, what's wrong with the forum tonight? I am not getting any e-mails or alerts that anyone has posted. Oh, wait, it is a holiday and all the 6-year-old computer geniuses took the day off and the only one in IT is someone of our age who doesn't know how to make any of this work...

Not a damn thing. This morning, I could barely see where the garden is due to the fog, and the drizzly rain all day told me I wouldn't be digging up too many weeds, so I diddled around the computer, skritched a few kitties, watched the 9,000th rerun of Star Warts, vaped a lot... Basically, other than routine chores, I did nothing productive today. What a waste...

Of course not. Sigh...

Well, today was slightly foggy in the morning, totally overcast until near sunset (a couple minutes of sunshine, high 54) and, yes, rain right up until almost sunset. :( Supposed to be drier tomorrow...

I hope the weather guessers are right, too. If they are, then our last day of winter was yesterday and summer starts today. Everything changes so suddenly here. One day there can be snow on the ground from a late blizzard, and a week later it will be 80 and climbing. Not quite so drastic this year, but still, two solid weeks of cold, rain, and wind, and then BAM, sunny, dry, and quite a nice, manageable light breeze.

I am SO ready for some sunshine! It was clear as a bell this morning at 1:30 am when I was outside with one of the dogs (don't ask...), and there's a thin cirrus cover now that the sun is up, but it's still technically sunny at the moment. I want to take my shoes and socks off and let my tootsies dry out! LOL!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Haven't been around lately as work is kicking my butt. Had 2 days off in April and tomorrow is my first day off in 2 weeks. This amount of work is good, but I'm beat. Need some time to recharge. Not used to having this much work. It seems that my seniority is getting higher. We work on a seniority system.

Weather here has been nice. We are in summer. Hot and humid. Highs in the high 80's to mid 90's but the humidity makes it feel like the underside of Satan's sack.

Sounds like my story to a "T"....can't remember the last day I had off...even worked on Memorial day. Hope you get some personal time tho.....it doesn't make much difference to me, my (better) half is in Ecuador tending the farm, so I may as well work while there is LOTS of work.

You said you took yesterday off, remember.....sitting in the house watching it rain....:teehee:
Actually, that's not what I said. I did no outside work other than routine chores, but there were lots of little inside things to do (stuffing capsules is really hard for an old fart with nasty arthritis) and we did do routine outside chores (taking care of cows, horse, chickens, dogs, cats). On the farm, there is never a day when all persons present do not do some sort of work. Imagine telling a wife who cooks and cleans all day that she did no "work." That'll put you in the dog house for ages...

I see you had decent weather today, must have been a shock to you?.....Hope it keeps on keeping on....!
Yeah. Lannie gave the report for Oh-dark-thirty this morning. Later, the thin cirrus became cirrostratus, then cirrocumulus, then altocumulus moved in, then stratocumulus, which started some vertical building and I thought the weather guessers blew it because it got dark and looked like rain (which hasn't happened yet and isn't supposed to happen). We hit 72 (I think) today and we both got in the garden. I finished digging the weeds out of the remaining tubs and put fresh compost in while Lannie planted all the tomatoes and peppers in the tubs I did a few days ago and the ones I finished today. That made us about an hour late for dinner, but it was worth it because it is now done. If it stays dry, I have about 5 acres to mow because it is getting deep everywhere.

Sounds like really productive day for a change.....I hope that damn weather is in your favor, until about the end of October.....!

Ha ha ha ha.. Did you know that the term "hobby farm" is a creation of the IRS? They call it that because they don't think you own enough acreage to make a profit, so you cannot declare any of the perpetual losses on your taxes.

And I didn't even mention taking the shitty litter to the pit (2 buckets), or taking out the recycle stuff and crushing aluminum cans, taking 12 dozen old bad eggs to the pit, etc.
Stop, your making me tired reading your posts....:teehee:..:giggle:...:teehee:
