I didn't think either of the two that we ended up using were really that awful tasting on their own. The pickle would have been a fool's errand, I didn't even SFT that one because I would have puked. I don't even like pickles, never mind warm vaporized pickle clouds.
I don’t like pickles either but did enjoy the combo one recipe has enough to want to play around with it. Has a nice sharp tongue bite that would be a welcome edition to some mixes at a low percentage.

the wasabi was good and worked great with our mix but I like wasabi I think really the most difficult one to work with was the so-called chili but that is because I kept waiting for a meat taste to come in on it that never happened I really want to know who thinks that is what chili tastes like. When I first smelled it I thought it was miss-spelled and it was meant to be chilies something like a Thai sweet chilies sauce and my brain wanted me to keep making adjustments for capsaicin which boosts the flavor of chocolate, in cooking that is, and make sure I kept the head down since not many people can eat things as spicy as me, but turns out that was never an issue no heat from the chili or wasabi. I guess that is the big problem with how I mix I approach it the say way I do cooking and baking then 30+ samples down the road I get something I am happy with. On ELR it shows I have two recipes that are public and forty that I am still working on that are not.

When I got your PM about what flavors we got and saw the Pickel and your reaction I was so happy I was not driving I would have crashed my car laughing so hard. It was great working with you I can not wait to get our prizes in.

I think it finally just clicked what you meant by that. I don't think it was a chili flavor like the dish chili, it was a sweet chili pepper. Whether or not they meant for it to be meat chili, I couldn't say, but I got more of a sweet chili sauce out of it.

I read a flavor description on the OOO website that said it was a tomato flavor with a dash of chili powder.

Here's exactly what it says:

"Description: A hearty tomato flavor with a hint of chili"

So did I but what @wildgypsy70 first said was "meat and bean" chili which is I think where my problem started (okay my problem with this challenge we all know my other problems started long long ago :p ha beat you to it @Letitia9 ) But overall I think you and I lucked out since we vape very similar things and had so many flavors in common in our stashes. In fact, I just ordered more of that Custard Prem it with the VTA I normally use makes one hell of a good custard

Okay man I gotta ask and I know this is going to come off rude it is not intended that way at all but the % you used seem high to me do you normally go that high? Again I really am not trying to be a dick as soon as I get a chance to order some missing flavors I am trying everyone's mix even that strange pickle rice thing that sounds like the name of a bad porno

All those messages asking you if you got a meat flavor from it and you just now clicked on what I meant :headbang: I knew I was not being clear

Not a dick question at all. My answer simply is yes, I always mix "heavy handedly". I suffer from a very diminished sense of smell and taste, so I mix accordingly. I tried many recipes from here as well as many other recipe sites 5 years ago when I first started mixing, and could barely taste anything. Same for most commercial e-liquids. So I ramped up flavor percentages until I could taste them. I do not lower my mixes for people whom I make juice for either, and most comment that they've never experienced better flavor and flavor intensity in any other e-liquids they've tried before. I get a lot of repeat customers on my juice. Also a reason I stay away from Flavour Art. Most of their flavors are, to me, like a whisper of the actual flavor, and if you try and ramp FA to my liking, it becomes quite nasty. So I don't use it.

The picture on the OOO website shows a bowl of meat chili, with cheese and all kinds of mess on top. They make you search down in the verbiage to find what the flavor actually is. I can see where she'd have thought it was chili, like you put in a bowl and put cheese and sour cream on, with beans (or not) and meat and tomato and spices.

There are several of us here who mix heavy, sometimes REALLY heavy, compared to others. You and me, Howard Hughes, Chef, and there are others I can't bring to mind right off.

I smoked for 39 years. Not surprised I need more flavor.

ETA: What you state about FA is what I am finding about Flavorah, at least when bearing in mind how light Smoky Blue says those flavors can be used. If I'm that light with them, I can't taste a damn thing.

I mixed Banana Cream TPA at 10% when I first started mixing and that is when I learned it contained Butyric Acid so I had a mix that tasted like vomit I could not touch that flavor for 3 months after that and since then I always start low and ramp up when I am trying a flavor I have never had and do not know anyone who has. But I had not really looked at any of your recipes before so I had to ask. If it works for you great I am still going to try it the way you made it as soon as I can get whatever the hell sugar daddy is, as I know it is not the guy down the street with his 46-year-old hag of a boyfriend.

Yeah I guess I really should have gone and read their site but who has the time for reading websites, I mean all of you voices in my head take up so much of it as is, and if I don't watch out one of you might start playing with matches and make me burn my neighbors house down.

Well, you just take it easy then, because we wouldn't want all that. Your neighbors will be miffed.

Since you like unusual mixes, here's one that we didn't submit. Tastes just like barbecued pork skins to me.

Brown Sugar (TFA) 2%
Chili (OOO) 1.5%
Honey (TFA) 0.2%
Lemon Sicily (FA) 1.5%
Peanut Butter DX (TFA) 4%
Pickle (OOO) 0.8%
Sweet Cereal Flakes (TFA) 4.5%
Two Apples (DIYFS) 2% (or Cap Double Apple)

Total Flavors 16.5%

You may want to order some other brand of Honey. This is the only time I've used the TFA, because of everything I've read, people say it's disgusting in a lot of mixes, or perhaps at higher %. You notice I only used a very tiny amount of it. Maybe @wildgypsy70 or @88ArDeN88 have used a brand that's more versatile.

yeah I have stayed away from honey, for the most part, hearing about it turning a mix into vaping piss so I will see what they say and order accordingly thanks for the warning. I did think about pulling a @Letitia9 and subbing honeysuckle

I'd probably sub something wild for it, like a few drops of ginger ale and a few drops of sweetener, maybe an extra drop or two of the brown sugar.

I'm tempted to spend the money on the MF wild flower honey. Just tempted not ready to jump just yet. I get no honey from the VT honeycomb , just a light caramel. It's nice but not a honey imo.

for honey I use VTA Honey Comb or FLV Milk n Honey and they are both very good. I don't have a straight honey flavor, but I think FA makes a decent one.
I got some FLV Honey Bee. It tastes like honey. At .5% it tastes like eating 43 beehives worth of Honey in one mouthful. It is ABSOLUTELY so potent that it is unusable. Don't misunderstand, it smells and tastes spot on honey. But damn it's unbelievably powerful stuff!

This was definitely an interesting outcome people. Was dreading trying these but frankly glad I was allowed to judge the entries and try them. All of you are very clever people.

What % are you using it at? I've got it up at like 2-3% and it definitely taste a good bit like honey to me. Sometimes that happens though and you might just not taste that flavor the way others do.

Geez, first Vaporoxx has pickle issues and now this ... what is this challenge doing to folks?

ETA: Sorry Letitia, I see you have since fixed your post but alas, I saved it for posterity, lol. Actually, I thought I had hit Post yesterday but apparently didn't. Thankfully, VU saved it for me though.

dilute it down to a 10% and use it that way. I do that with rich cinnamon because it is so strong.

Same here with FW Reindeer Poop. I use it for the acetyl pyrazine. Can't use it full strength or it makes my lips numb.
