Okay when I last posted I'd got a Blu and loved it! Literally for 3 weeks the only time I had a cigar was when it was charging

Then (as several people here warned me) it stopped working! So I went back to my LovVape stick but I ran into the same problem I have had with several vapes...

The chamber got stuck. I have appalling eye hand co-ordination so I get nervous about loading them and I think I end up with the liquid dripping over the outside of the container and gumming up the join. This then leaves me with the option of taking the mouthpiece off and trying to drip the liquid into a very narrow space and usually ending up with it anywhere but where it should be and it also makes it hard to empty the vape if I load something and don't like the taste

So I am back on the fags..

A couple of days ago someone was vaping outside my local and what he was using smelt amazing so we got talking and I was telling him about the problem. His stick was about 4-5 inches long and thick (I hasten to add I mean his vape stick not the other kind!). He showed me that the one he was using loaded from the top, basically you slide the mouthpiece to one side and load from there. This strikes me as brilliant! For a start it means I can hold the vape with one hand and load with the other (some I have had opening the chamber means I am now trying to load from the bottom and because the top is narrower it wobbles see above for my eye hand co-ordination problems). Also it means I have a load of room to put something in and can change easily if I don't like it)

He said he got it from the shop over the road, the one they sell is called Vype I think but of course as they are not specialists they don't know and won't open one so I can check

Can someone tell me a top-loading stick preferably a not very expensive one?

Edited for drug reference

Are you meaning a tube mod? Like the one pictured. This is a kit. Vapwiz revolution is what this one is. Fills from the top but the tank and coil is all one piece. So when the coil goes bad you toss it and buy new ones. So it gets expensive. This was gifted to me so not sure how much it actually costs. Another good one is the Uwell Nanchaku. You can get it as a kit or just the mod. You'll just have to buy new coils as needed. Here's the Nanchaku with a different tank on it

Hi Lesleym1 there are two main groups of pod

closed system - where you dispose of the pod after it’s vaped, mess and hassle free but more expensive option

Open ststem - refillable pod much like you described, after pod is empty you can refill it and keep going for a bit until coil burns out

Which type are you interested in more, as it will help members with suggestions

If you can elaborate a little more of what you want i am sure you will get some good recommendations.

I also used blu when they first came out. And never had 1 last longer than a few months at best. But to be honest i was asking to much of the device.

I'm thinking a refillable pod and hand eye co-ordination might not be a good fit. The Nanchaku stick will be a better option. You can buy as a kit with tank included or just the mod and purchase tank separately.
Another stick mod that's popular ehpr 101 pro. Takes a 21700 battery so you can have longer run time. You can also buy this as a mod only, kit includes a rda.

I think what you're looking for might be a top filling RTA. To break the terminology down a little for you, RTA means roughly Rebuidable Tank Atomizer. You'll likely want to learn about building coils if that is the direction you are wanting to go. That means you might as well take a few days and learn the basics of Ohm's Law. You'll need it to understand how to properly build coils which your mod will fire.

Again breaking down some terminology, a mod is what holds the battery and possibly circuitry. Some mods have built in internal batteries, other mods use swap-able external batteries that go inside the mod "housing/casing/body". Usually, mod manufactures ship out mods with very fair to good instruction manuals. If you buy a mod take a bit being new to using mods to vape, read your manual. After you get some experience you'll find you un-box gear and go right to it. Always crawl before you walk, walk before you run.

There's a vast market of top filling RTAs. I do not use tank based atomizers any more and cannot opine accurately, or good on which would suit anyone newbie or veteran vaper. I use RDA, which means Rebuildable Dripping Atomozer. I also squonk which is somewhat more of an advanced vaping style you can learn about as you go along. I use mechanical mods, these are also for more advanced vapers. Not sure either how far down the rabbit warren you want to traverse. Hope I've at least provided you some info to begin a journey.
