Salt Nic for RDA

Soo. Was at the local vape shop and picked up what appeared to be a nice tasty new flavor for me HMBL (apple pear watermelon) got it home and dripped it a little bit. Didn’t taste right. Smoke production was a tad off. It was harsh! Read the label and sure as shit it’s got salt nicotine. It’s 3MG and not some crazy high Salt Nic you would use in a MTL pod or something.. I’m dripping in a sub ohm RDA. Hate to toss this 120ML out. But I just don’t enjoy it. Anyone else make this mistake?? Also. Doesn’t state on the bottle the VG/PG ratio

I vaped 3mg Salt Nic from Warped Vape here in Canada for almost a year in my rda and rta's. I do find it odd that you found it harsher, maybe you just need to drop your usual wattage a tad, salt nic is usually smoother for most people. But to answer your question, it is becoming more common to see lower percentages of salt nic that people use in rba's because of the quicker nic absorption and should lead to less puffs.

Hmmm. I smoke 3mg because I do enjoy the buzz a little as I’m an old smoker, but this DID seem to hit me a little “too much” if that’s a thing. Coughed my guts up in the car on the way home and literally almost passed out hahaha the smoke doesn’t seem as thick to me which stinks cuz I enjoy thick clouds. Definitely isn’t smoother IMO. I’ll have to give it a chance I guess. Try dropping the Wattage. I also tend to chief when I pic up the old fog machine.

I'm not familiar with the juice you bought, but I do know that the Warped Vape salt nic in 3mg that I referenced was specifically made for sub ohm vaping in rba's. I always had thick clouds and a smooth vape. I enjoyed the immediate hit of it.

Good luck with your bottle and glad you didn't crash on the way home!

Sounds like it may be higher (possibly much) PG ratio then you are used to. From your description, less cloud/more harsh, that’s exactly the difference PG makes. If you use a high VG juice usually I’d imagine even 50% PG may seem harsh and cloudless.

The op got 3 percent nic. Thats 30 mg per mil. not 3 mg. So yeah I bet if correct then it is harsh. It us 10 times stronger than is used to. Any one agree? Or am I wrong?

Hahaha all good man. Yea my bad on the typo. Been a long day. Never even seen salt nic that wasn’t a crazy high MG until now. Not sure what the VG PG ratio is I could probably check the website. But meh. Whatever, I DID however Re-Drip with a known good 70/30 3MG I had a little left of and BOOOM. Way Fkn better... so I guess watch out and stay away from HMBL if you’re Dripping :)

There are a few who for some reason simply cannot vape with salts, any brand at any mg. The posts I've read it's more a coughing issue than harshness though. You could just add some vg to the juice to try and salvage it or pif it.

I buy a lot of juice from humble.and yes I have tried the Apple pear watermelon.along with the Apple Jay Jay they are both salt nic.I feel the same way about the a.p.w it was kinda harsh.the Apple Jay Jay is even worse.I think there Apple flavoring is what makes it harsh.I have tried there entire salt nic line and those were the only two that was bad to me.
I don't know maybe it was just me but for some reason theApple pear watermelon seemed to have somewhat of a weird menthol undertone also.and I hate menthol.

So I got onto the website and looked up the VG/PG content since it’s not labeled on the bottle... 65/35. That explains it to me. Higher PG content mixed with the salt nic... may be ok in a pod system or a tank. But when you drip and sub ohm ya dick off. It is just not optimal. Left the bottle at work with a sticky note saying “free to a good home” hahaha I almost need to switch to 0mg nic for how much I vape. I get nauseous if I puff a good sitting on break at work
