So, I built a pair of N80 6 core Aliens, 2.5 wraps, 3mm ID, 38g over 6x28. I'll get pics tomorrow because I was unsure of their vape capabilities and quality so I didn't photograph them. They clock in at .21 ohms for the pair on my series coil deck in my Steam Crave Aromamizer Plus. Wow what a vape! Wasn't sure about this whole series build deck thing, but boy am I sold now!

Wait what? One of those should come in under .2 by itself?!? And I'm all for pushing the limits, and sometimes breaking them a little ... but .2 is a 42 amp build on a series mod

its a series deck where the coils are attached to a neutral post in the middle, doubles the resistance instead of halving it kinda like a big sleeper coil
Interesting ... I had not hear dof such an animal :teehee:
Oh ... trust me I knew you weren't blowing your mod up. I know your smarter than that. Was just makin a funny. I did not, however, know that a "series deck" was a thing lol

its very interesting. i have only tried it in the form of the rafale rda back when i was first getting started with building. its very cool being able to hit .4ish on some framed staples and use them on a series box, but i didnt like the vape i got from the thing and it kinda got put aside. i should grab a series deck for the aromamizer plus because i know that thing is a good vape, and i didnt know they made one for it until now :teehee: might be able to get a set of alien staggs on the hammer of gawd with that thing....ooof

Lol! There is literal blowing your face off, like when a battery vents, then there's the time I used this thing to continuously "blow my face off"! Lmaooooo

Posted this as a thread but I figured Maybe I'd get better responses here.

Are the calcs in steam engine correct for N90?? Non of my coils are coming in anywhere near where they should be according to that. All of them are clocking in around .05 lower than they should. And when your building for .08 ... well that's a problem. So, either steam engine is incorrect or my wire is incorrect. Would be nice to know which is the case.

I quit using steam engine because it never has been pinpoint accurate on anything, and me being a retired, grouchy, OCD Military man, I demand pinpoint accuracy. I use vapetool pro now. Always right on target.

My first custom coil . I finally got the motivation to make one. Nothing special. A dual twisted 26 gauge b89 in my m41 rda. Clocking at .25 ohms at 4.2 volts running around 75 watts.

Nice little vape. Not too overpowering, flavour not to shabby.

Tower of POWER!!!!!
Lol, I'm trying to make as many Fraliens and SSFCs as I can. I just ordered a whole lot more .4 ribbon. You would have though I'd choose more time efficient coils lol...but that wouldn't be as much fun.

nice work  thats a common 'first build'/gateway drug for a lot of us in here. you are on the edge of the proverbial rabbit hole :D an interesting variation of that is to hammer it flat and make it into a boneyard coil. hammering it out makes it vape slightly differently, and if you clapton wrap that, its slightly moar differenter again. i havnt made a set of those in ages, but i remember liking them enough to keep making them even after i learned some fancier builds/fell further down the rabbit hole :D
thats more coils than i have built in months, in one pic  tons of great pics/builds lately dude :coffee2:

Damn dude that twist and wrap ratio are damn near perfect.
make it into a boneyard coil.
He almost doesn't even need to hammer it out. On first glance I thought it WAS a boneyard.

My first coil build was a 3 wire twist. Welcome to the world of coil building. Take it slow. Vape what you build and learn 1 new skill at a time. B4 you know it you will be cranking out some complicated shit.

Great job! I built parallels for almost a year before an old beloved friend from right here on VU gave me a friendly boot in the shorts to continue honing my skills at coil building.

I believe the word your searching for, is Space...Ranger...

Thanks guys. Was my very first attempt. Still have some extra wire from that build. I want to try the nichrome chain. Looks pretty easy. If you are not familiar with it. The guy from twisted messes shows how it is done. Looks great.

I watched tons of YouTube how to vids n asked lots of questions here. Every1 is super helpful n willing. Other sites looked down on new builders. Keep it up n enjoy vaping your own work. It is rewarding beyond belief.

I know and thanks. A few people on here have mentioned I should try some different builds . Well I took the plunge. I need to buy a better drill. Mine doesnt have a reverse feature.

Soon. Very soon.

I have a shop series drill. Got it on sale for like 35$. Point being that a good drill for coils doesnt need to cost lots of $. Hell i used a 40 year old corded drill for a while. Wasnt fancy but worked.

I was on the verge of saying ... I have a like 10 yr old black and decker. Don't need a 'good drill'. But yah ... reverse can be useful :teehee:

Just made this. I designed it for my mech. N80 wire, 7.5 wraps, 2.5 ID in an innoken Ares mtl rta. I'm using cotton bacon v2 and juiced it up with blackwood Double barrel 18 mg nic. Ohm is 0.78. At 4.2 v should be about 22.5 w with 5.3 amp current. Should be a nice little vape on a mech.

Yah Tobias has a crazy imagination and a great creative process.

Here's my boring 70 sets lol
Gonna take a couple/few days off I think. I'm not really a production builder. It's going to take some time for me to figure out how to push them out faster.

Aliens, Fraliens, Fused Claps, and SFCs
