Hi All, Anthony Vapes back here with my review of the Vaporeso Luxe Nano Mod. Please see bottom for disclaimers and links. Note: This is not marked as a sample.

Introduction:
The Vaporesso Luxe Nano mod is the latest mods from Vaporesso. Vaporesso is a company that doesn't need much of an introduction these days. They have been making some of the best affordable mods on the market for years now and their luxe is still easily a top 5 mod to date. This mod comes in a kit with the skrr-s tank which i won’t go over really much as it uses the same GT cores and QF coils of most of their past tanks. The luxe nano is the smaller version of that one and is an internal battery mod rated at 80 watts with a nice color screen and touch buttons. It’s available in 6 colors. Black, Red, Bronze, Silver, Rainbow and Blue. Looking around online i see it priced from 40-50 USD for the mod. Elementvape has them in stock for 39.95 in the USA all colors.

Initial Impressions
When I first got this mod I really liked the simple and sleek design of it. I always liked the look of the full size version and this one is pretty much the same as that but much smaller. it’s barely larger than some pods, it’s a really tiny device. Plus it’s very light, has a centered 510, and a nice large 1.3” color screen. I think the design team really nailed this mod.

Watt Mode Performance (chart and spreadsheet in picture album)
Now let’s get into some data. I ran my normal testing. I used the internal battery for the testing. Testing resistances were done at .13, .15, .2, and .61 ohms. wattage points were max (80), 60, 40 and 20. At .13 ohms it maxed out at 62 watts and 22 amps. For the rest of the testing it struggled quite a bit 11 watts low at 60 and 3-6 watts low under that. At .15 it maxed out at 71 watts. The rest of the testing a little on the low side 1-6 watts. For the .2 test it maxed out at 76 watts. The rest of the testing really good being on point or 3 watts low. For the .61 testing it maxed out at 81 watts and 7.048 volts. For the rest of the testing it was great being on point to 1 watt high.

Overall I felt the performance of this mod was really good. It struggles a little at .13 but at .15 or higher is pretty solid. Even though it hits low it does have that built in hard preheat while on normal like their past mods so it doesn't feel that way. I do wish they would get rid of that, if i want a hard pre-heat i can set it myself. Why have a normal preheat if it’s not normal? I was able to get 81 watts max, so I consider it to be accurately rated at 80 watts. The 7.048 volt limit was maxed out by the watts and the volt limit shouldn’t be any issue. I could not find any volt or amp limit though but the volts show a boost circuit which is good but I do wish they would list all 3 personally. On this mod and the most amps i got was 22 with a .13 and .15 ohm coil which is below average for an internal battery mod (average is 25-30 these days).

Simplified TLDR Power Performance summary
Mod performance is solid. Accurately rated for watts (81), Volt limit is no issue (over 7v with a .59 but capped off by the watts) 22 amp limit which low. Has built in hard preheat on normal.

Temperature Control Performance
Ok TC time! So this one is a bit of an oddball and i’ll explain that first before going over the performance. So i’m pretty familiar with the menu of this mod as it is the same as the final version of the full size luxe mod. However this mod seems to lack the TCR adjustment in any mode including TCR mode, i also couldn’t find the power adjustment either and it stays locked at 70w. I thought maybe it’s hidden or maybe even though they said this is the final version i noticed some other odd things that make me think it was sent early. Either way couldn’t adjust any of that. It didn’t come with a manual either (one of the odd things) but i found the manual online and doesn't show it at all. I watched some reviews which weren’t many and not a single one showed the TCR adjustment i could find. I’m stumped. I thought maybe firmware update as mine is V1 from 11-26-18 but nope, no FW updates out for it. Really odd. If im missing it hopefully someone can chime in but it isn’t in the same spot as the full size luxe and i can't find it personally. Now with all that said i did test 3 builds using SS316 wire and in SS mode only. I did 2 fancy single coil builds and 1 round single coil build. The mod performed great in TC mode but hits slightly high. I found around 400-430F to be a good temp for a warm vape so roughly about 20-30F high. Nothing wrong with that. It’s smooth and consistent and the throttle is nice as is the dry hit protection. So overall it works but i can’t make any adjustments on it so not sure what to think

Charge Rate and Battery
Quick rundown on the specs for the charging and battery. Vaporesso lists everything out pretty good here. They claim 2A charging 2500mah and 1.5 hour charge time. It also has a cool feature when you charge it that shows you how many minutes left until full as well. I tested this 4 times with an inline USB meter. The max charge rate i got is 1.86A so the 2A rating is good an accurate. The charge time was 1 hour 10 mins to 1 hour and 22 mins so good job with that as well. Here is my one big gripe with this the mah i got was between 1578 and 1605 on the 4 tests so no way it’s a 2500mah battery and way overstated. So i’ll ding them there for sure. I would have felt much better with a 1600mah rating. So good charge rate, charges super fast time wise, but way overstated battery life.

Other Usage Notes
The mod uses a standard 5 click of the fire button to turn on and off. It has 3 touch buttons for adjustments, an up ,a down and a menu button. The touch buttons auto lock when you press fire and stay locked until you click fire 3 times to unlock them so it’s great that way so you can't accidentally adjust or press the buttons. The menu system is great and well laid out as usual and has the same menu as the full size luxe and while it’s great, i much prefer the one from the polar and wish they would revert back to that one. It’s still one of the best menu systems in vaping but not as good as their polar mod. Before they used a drill down menu so you select your mode than you select the settings. Now they broke that up into 2 sections one where you program your options in the DIY area of the menu. It’s still very easy and intuitive. For me personally i like the older way better as since i do reviews i’m always swapping atomizers and needing to adjust settings and this is an extra step for me when doing that however in normal usage won’t be a bother to most. The one main thing missing i couldn’t find though was the ability to program the TCR values in SS mode and in TCR modes (and likely ni and ti modes but i don’t use them) or to set the power in TC mode as well.

Mode wise as expected this mod is packed to the brim with every mode you can think of. It has your power mode (with normal, hard, and soft preheat options), TC for Ni, SS, and Ti and TCR mode (2 memories). You also have VV mode for voltage adjust, and curve modes for watts, volts, and temp control as well as bypass mode. Basically any mode for vaping that ever existed is here. They also include their super player mode which they finally explain on their site and as i suspected it’s just wattage mode that lets you fire as low as .03 ohms and as high as 5 ohm so just a wider resistance range. No idea why it has to be a seperate mode though honestly. Also their smart mode and auto mode which they don’t really explain and personally i just leave them off and don’t use them.

The Vaporesso Nano adjusts by 1 watt increments only and has a range from 5-80 watts so well done there as well. The mod itself is built really nice too. There is no button rattle at all and only has the 1 button which is a fire button on the side that is large and clicky. It has the same vibrate feature when you touch a touch button as the full size luxe, however with this mod i had to turn it off. Because it’s so small when just holding ot vaping on it there was no way to really avoid touching the touch buttons and even with them locked it would keep vibrating all the time so i turned it off as it was annoying. Wasn’t an issue with the full size one but with such a tiny mod your hand is likely to keep setting it off.

The paint on the mod has held up really well. No wear and tear anywhere except the normal amount on the bottom. The 510 pin gave me no issues and every atomizer i used on it and is nicely done and built and centered. The mod handles a 24mm atomizer flush to the slight beveling on the top. It is a fingerprint magnet though. The screen is a large 1.3” color screen that looks great. It is bright and easy to see except it’s shiny cover when in sunlight can reflect on it. Not a big deal but worth the mention. Also for branding the mod itself just a small luxe nano above the screen and a small vaporesso above that. Nothing on the back or sides. Also the menu button is “V” for vaporesso. Really nicely done there

Included tank info
As i said earlier not going to go over the tank much but writing this out for when vaporeso reads it and other companies who may read it can benefit from this. Not really sure what tank will be included as their site says the skrr-s mini and my box says the skrr-i mini. Most companies make nice tanks anyway these days so it’s really just down to the coil performance which i’m not going to go over here as it uses the same GT cores and QF cores as their older tanks anyway which i’ve went over in the past. My main thing i wanted to talk about here is the wattage demands of these included tanks. Sadly most if not all manufacturers package in these coils that need 60-80 watts with an internal 1600mah battery mod. That means battery life is horrible. If you are going to make an 80 watt internal battery mod or even a single 18650 mod and include a tank, don’t make the coils need all the watts to perform. Even if the battery was 2500mah it’s not going to last long. Make coils that are more appropriate like 30-40 watt ones instead so you get twice the life. Kits should be designed with stuff like this in mind so not sure why they still aren’t. Sadly enough vaporesso has compatible coils with included tank that fits those needs in their lower watt CCELL coils. Those should have been included instead but sadly everyone is chasing the “mesh hype” still and it’s holding back companies from making appropriate kits and sadly nobody else seems to care to mention it so whatever i’ll take my shot here and hope some listen

Pros:
  • Power mode performance good (best used .15 ohms or higher)
  • Accurately rated for watts (81)
  • good volt limit (7.048+)
  • handles 24mm atomizers without overhang
  • full watt increment adjustments
  • color options (6)
  • really good charge rate (1.86A tested)
  • good build quality
  • nice looks
  • tons of modes (TC, watt curves, TC curves, bypass, VV mode etc)
  • good TC performance
  • nice 510 pin
  • nice fire button
  • charges really fast (under 1.5 hours)
  • nice 1.3” color screen
  • good menu system
Cons:
  • Included tank needs too many watts
  • low amp limit (22A)
  • way overstated battery life (roughly 1600mah not 2500mah as advertised)
  • vibration feature is annoying and i had to turn it off
  • couldn’t figure out how to adjust TCR and wattage in temp mode and manual doesn't say it either. Might not exist?
  • normal preheat acts like hard preheat
Conclusion
So with all that said, do I recommend this mod or not? I don’t like to do a hard yes or no and this one was tough for me, so i have to call it a 50/50. It’s got a lot of good going for it, but the small battery size and the large overstatement of it hurts it a lot IMO as well as a few other nagging cons. I do think it’s a great mod to pair with a MTL tank or RTA as seen with my BSKR V1.5 mini in the pics. Using that in TC mode is a really nice small MTL set up but it’s not good for the included tank and not good unless you vape less than 30 watts or so or want to charge it all time. So yeah if you want something to pair with a MTL RTA it’s a good option but outside of that i’d go for something with a bigger battery life and not the kit as the tank doesn't go well with this at all. I’ll won’t be adding the mod to my spreadsheet of recs linked down below.

This is Anthony Vapes just keeping it honest, hopefully you all can say the same and i’ll catch you on my next review.

Hello! Thank you for the informative review.
I've been gone from vaping zone for 3-4 years now and I just came back. I'm planning on getting a new mod and thought I should go back and start with the starter kits.

I'm leaning between Aegis Mini or Vaporesso Luxe Nano. I'm not a heavy user, though I'd like to get there and away from smoking.

The kits that I've used before is innokin coolfire 4 with stock sub-ohm tank, kangertech mini with stock sub-ohm tank, Sigelei 150 TC and Lavabox DNA200 with uwell crown sub-ohm tank (I cannot still believe old friends talked me into selling the last 2 mods!!)

Now since RTAs has innovated compared in the past, I want to use one for any of those 2 minis.

Given they are minis, is it okay to use them with RTAs?

I have had vaped before but I didn't get crazy into specific details then so I don't know.

The only available locally for me are: Kylin V2, Pyro V2 and Zeus dual RTA (there are other stuffs too with trying to be cool names out from medieval books and they thought they could entice the majority with that)

Please advise. Thank you!

it's fune to use a mod like this with an RTA. just make sure you try and stick to lower watts (like 45 or less) so you can get decent battery life. if you wanted a non RTA the nunchaku is a good tank for that watt range
