What did you do today that is vape related?

Hmm.. Tore my clone Monster V3 pospin in two.. It was acting flakey so I did a little loosen/tighten - SPIN! action.

Oh well, I guess it's time to ditch all my KF-like parts in the can.

My project for today (vape related ) Okay, so a few of you know that mech's are still a bit scary to me ( I'm getting better though ) and Hybrids REALLY make me nervous. But, @bx10r was so very sweet to send me a AV Able so I could have a nice mech that I wanted to get past my silly fear. So, I did this today. ( I know there will be some voltage drop but that's fine with me )

I took an old 18650 adapter I had and cut the top off. I fit it into the top of the AV able and Voila!! I feel a little better using it now :) I can't see why this wouldn't be okay. I mean it is basically the same type of thing that is on the roughneck rda that is all one piece that screws into the rig. If any of you mech experts think this is not okay don't be afraid to call me a dumbass and to not use it. :)

I made some panels for the G-Class. boy, what a PITA. the panels are nearly paper thin = sheet metal with a skin.
so I had to thin these down, AFTER I figured out they wouldn't fit. in the process, F'n em up. but they are prototype's. so the next ones will be a lot better. finding what I want to put on there, that is a whole lot tougher.

Hey Deb. Hope you’re doing good! My old man don’t like it if I tell him to can it. Lol So yeah, we all learned to be polite at ECF. :giggle:

Yeah, that is horrible camo. But the panels are nice. You do good panels, btw. And good price!

The speedometer is cute, though. Is it a joy stick? It’s really mini. One day I too shall have one...cue movie music.

Be on the lookout here in the Hardware thread or sub-forum or whatever they call it. I got an SX Mini M-class for DIRT cheap, because the paint on those starts looking like it has the mange, and flaking off, if you look at it hard. Yihi may make good mods, but they dunno SHIT about enameling.

Ooh, that’s so nice, Andria. You should upload some pics! You could always put a skin on it, if the enamel is grotty.

Oh trust me, I did! It looked AWFUL. When it got here, I asked the mate if he could finish getting all the paint off, so the wrap would adhere nicely. He gave me one of those looks that say "do you think I'm an idiot? OF COURSE I can!" He did, and then wrapped it for me. Yeah, I thought I had a pic of it around here -- this is it:
m-class.jpg

I don't use it, though. The bottom edges are almost RAZOR sharp, and it's a single-18650 mod that weighs more than my son's Revenger, a TWO battery mod!

I always use an angled adapter -- it's great if you're a VERY-low-wattage vaper, to keep hot spats off your lips. When the wattage is very low, ejuice is more likely to not be fully vaporized, and to spit at you -- those spits and spats are HOT, and feel icky-greasy, so I do what I can to avoid them:

Completed my first RTA build. Got the Wotofo Serpent up and running on my Polar. Damn that glass was on super tight!!! I put it in the freezer for a bit and finally got the glass to separate from the base. In doing so, it looks like it damaged the o ring a bit. Thought I was going to have to replace the o ring, but tried it anyway and so far, no leaks. @SnapDragon NY & @MrMeowgi many thanks for all your support. Now I'm enjoying some Vaptasia Blueberry Killer Kustard......mmmmmmmmmm!!!

Must not be an OG serpent. it's glass is glued in or something.
Good vape though.
Bit of a pain to coil with those 45 deg offset holes...

Not bad. Today was payday, and was a little better than we had expected, it being only a 10-day pay period that also had a holiday in it... fortunately my husband makes enough now that even shorter hours don't really kill us, AND we don't have to waste money on cigarettes, :) AND he gets his social security deposit on the 24th, which is when most of the bigger bills will be paid.

And our son MIGHT have found a job; he went back for a 2nd interview and paperwork, drug test, etc, and now is waiting to see if he actually did get the job. Sure would be good if he did, because he has a LOT of health problems, and his college-sponsored 2-yrs of Kaiser Permanente will be coming to an end in the fall, so he needs an income to be able to afford to pay for some medical insurance. Fingers crossed!!!!

I hope it goes well with your son’s job. Good thoughts from here!

I’m still amazed I’m off cigarettes, and don’t have to throw a shitload of money for them at my smoke shop owner. It’s a crappy habit to have anyway, coffee is better and cheaper imo. ️ Decaf mostly. :))

I hope he is able to get the job for the insurance! That would be great.

When you mentioned your husband looking at you like “what do you think?”, I was laughing. My dh just looks at me with one brow raised in those situations. Says a lot though! LoL

I am so glad you got your Elevate up and running- yes I warned you about it being tough to get the glass off the 1st time and the freezer trick is what I used to get it apart.
Nice that they give you a bunch of spare orings in the bag.
Welcome to the world of RTAs! Glad you gave them a chance! I think this is a very easy RTA to build for your 1st one and I hope it is vaping well for you!

@The Cromwell - Not sure what you are referring to as an OG Serpent, but I do know the security code that I scratched off the box was confirmed successfully with Wotofo for authenticity. The tube was not glued on, rather it was screwed on tighter than little Christy was back in the 9th grade....

@SnapDragon NY - I'm sure the freezer trick helped, thanks again for the tip. The build wasn't bad at all considering it was my first attempt. I'm kinda OCD about doing things especially things I haven't done before.

I just reorganized all my drawers. Drip tips, coils, wire, cotton, tank rings, o rings, random unicorn bottles, random tank parts......all nice and organized. I found crayon boxes at Walmart and they’re PERFECT. I’m going to get more of them.

Rewicked a Smok Spirals Plus and filled it with Nilla Cake for my Baby Ness, built a Hussar RDTA that I got from @crazydmnd . The Hussar was a PITA to build (first time, it'll be ok next time) but jeez it is a fantastic vape. I put a 3mm SS 26/36 Clapton, 5 wraps spaced at 0.88 ohms, 28.5W. Put it on a Pico Resin, so damn cute!

Thanks @crazydmnd !!!!

I found this cool sliding expandable spice rack at Aldi that will make a perfectly splendid atty rack as soon as I take the drill to it :D
EDIT: 8 bucks btw.

This from WallyWorld is great to keep vape stuff in as well. lol

On Topic: Yesterday I sold a pair of RM2's to a dedicated Reo user and 35 LR 510 atty's to a guy looking for a website still selling them.
Today I packed up some vape mail AND found that I won a Peacemaker RTA from Heavens gifts on ECF. Pretty stoked, I've never won anything in my life. :bingo:

Y'all are just incorrigible.

(I love going to Aldi, but never bought anything vape-related there. Mostly ham and eggs, ya know?)

We bought a rug from them... Rugs have the most OBSCENE prices! But this one was $19.99 at first, very reasonable... but at that time, we were pretty broke, so we just sighed and passed it by. They marked it down to $14.99.... Again, we sighed and passed it by, though we discussed it a little more. Then I'll be damned if they didn't mark it down to $9.99... at which point we figured the universe really wanted us to have that rug, so we bought it. :D Still using it too, in our foyer, because the subtle pattern in it doesn't show dirt nearly as bad as a solid-color rug we used to have there.

Got a nice "lift-out" meatloaf pan from them too, when my old one wore out. And I won't buy lean ground beef (93% lean) anywhere else!

Did you ever find/buy another mod? I've thought about you just about every time I pick up the Baby Ness I just got. It uses a 2x700 battery, but the shape of it is spectacular, kinda slim in the hand but substantial, has a layer of real abalone on the bottom, and is just classy as hell. I keep thinking, I bet Andria would love this. Let me know if you want more info.

Not really a what I did but a gave a guy the og voopoo drag last year sometime because he was a new vaper with a Nc2 and a subohm tank on top. Thought he'd get along better with a regulated mod being he knew nothing about nothing. He gave me the Drag back today and accomplished quitting nicotine all together. I get home and pop batteries in and up pops FuseRyder's name whom I believe also just quit vaping not long ago. This may be the super quitting luck mod. So I'm passing it on to my wife in hopes that this one does the trick. Lol I swear I've spent so much trying to help her but she just has a hard time quitting. Ive got a pod system for her I keep placing on top of her cigs Everytime she sets them down. Power of suggestion are subtle as fuck. So we'll have to see how it goes.

I had a baby Ness I traded to debinnv a while back. It's definitely a sleek mod. Classy, form fitting in the hand. And more than enough power with just the single 18650. You can use a larger battery and get higher wattage but Andria needs no higher wattage

Hmm, the last mod I bought was probably the Aegis I picked up in the hardware section for a damn decent price. And since I already had some 26650 batts for my first Aegis, that was fine... but I have no plans to venture into other battery formats; the 3000mAh 30Q's last me nearly a full 3 days, and that's about what the 26650s last me, too, though they're *ostensibly* 4500mAh. My son who's taken a lot of electrical/electronics-oriented classes gave me a long-winded explanation for why a 4500mAh batt in that mod lasts the same as a 3000mAh batt in my Minibooks, but at some point my eyes just glazed over and i said "yeah, uh-huh" just to make him shut up. :giggle: But, although I do sometimes buy new mods, generally I try to find older <100w single-18650 mods for bargain prices.

What I was most recently looking for was a new RTA *that's ACTUALLY REBUILDABLE* with massive airflow for my son... but when I mentioned to him I was looking for that, he got this look on his face like Gollum going "My precious!" about his damn Aero-Mesh tank... so it may have to come to an actual disappearance of heads for that thing for him to be willing to consider something else. Hopefully the FDA will grow a brain and figure out that vaping is a GOOD thing that they shouldn't mess with... yes, and winged primates might issue from my anal orifice... but I can hope, anyway. ;)

They had these a while back for 14:99. I waited and they marked them down to half price at which time I grabbed one. The yellow compartments come out and there's more space underneath. Perfect for vape crap.

I sorted out some o-rings on a Le Zephyr (my first vertical-coil/genny? RTA), built and vaped it for a while, then watched a video to figure out how to take a Hurricane Jr. apart and get it going. These two pieces also courtesy of @crazydmnd and the Hardware thread.

Like everything I got very much! All very different and all very good. Learn something new every day, too. Hey, that's right. Vaping is educational! lol

Hurricane is living on the IPV400 I got from @debinnv with some Tres Leches in it. Le Zephyr is on the Anita I got from @Tall Pines with Tiramisu Cream. Everybody's happy, especially me!

By the way, @AndriaD I actually think the Le Zephyr might have airflow that's tight enough for you. When I first put it together I wasn't really paying attention to where the airflow was set. I tried to take a draw on it, and it just about pulled my cheeks together. (No, not THOSE cheeks, Jeez can't y'all behave for once?!) lol It was like sucking on a straw that's in the thickest milkshake you ever saw. I think that might just qualify as gnat's-ass tight! I have it set as open as it will go now, and it's still a bit restricted, which is perfect for me.
