Love it all man!! I wish I had the eye for stuff like this. I always say 'I don't do well in a sandbox'. I'm better at mimicry then outright innovation. I have a hard time envisioning the outcome of a project. I can take what's in front of me and envision it in a different way. But I need something to work from. I'm typically an inspiree not an inspirerer. So, I will take all this loveliness in front of me and be inspired!
Feel free bud, Ive been in a bit of a rut myself so I go through older stuff Ive posted and work with that....I figured most people havent seen the stuff I made just before and after I got my Canon camera and IMO thats when I did my best...

I did that recently and I have a number of builds I need to revisit. Some that I didn't land as nicely as I would have liked. Some that I completely destroyed. Some that I like a lot and would like to re-imagine. But I'm trying hard not to burn myself out again. So I'm taking it slower, not building every day, only putting in 1 build/attempt per session. That sort of thing.

Oh R.Savage! Don't worry. You've been bit by the building bug! It's okay. I keep more wire than that just on my build station lol! I keep about $400 worth of wire in my reserve bin lol! Just wait...your time is coming lol

There's a build that I did a long time ago that I would like to remake...

This one:

Decided to try an idea. Just finished the twisting. This is my idea of a simple coil. Taking what I have learned and then going into something new.

Thoughts?

I dont have macro feature. Sorry. The build

2 x 28 g n80 twisted 2 wires each for twist.
Then using a .8 x .1mm n80 ribbon wire to pit it all together. I have no idea what the resistance will be. Just playing around.

Going to try the same build but with a .5 ribbon and 5 wraps at 3 mm ID. In a dual coil configuration. There is a bit of a ramp up time. Requires quite a bit of power with the build I made last night.

I agree with @bx10r ... twisted juggernaut :shades:

Ribbon fussed 4 core is going to be hot and need some power to boost the ramp regardless of how you fuse it. Dropping the ribbon size will help. And putting a bigger angle on the fuse (aka-bigger spacing between ribbon wraps) will help with that as well.

That's a slick one brother! Is the center stack bigger intentionally? I love how it stands all the way up to the fuse!
I had 2 make it 2 separate runs and the second time one of the ribbon strands turned and I had to pull it out at the end.

I love when i know what i did wrong.. means on try 2..i should get it...i didn't leave enough room for clapton to slide when fusing
2x28ni80/36ss316 with a 26 ss316 in between.. just to practice. Nice vape on the solo.

I almost never make tri-core aliens, I usually opt for Fraliens or more core aliens, but I bought a Dead Rabbit RTA for the hell of it, put it on a regulated device, and decided I wanted something closer to .2 ohms so I made 3 core 30g/40g aliens and it’s not too bad.

So I've been toying with an idea for awhile. A "Semi-indented" Alien coil. Tonight my idea came to life. Similar principle to a Fralien, except instead of ribbon between my 28 gauge frames, there's 6x32 gauge round wires in there. Unlike a traditional Indented Alien, the cores are all still in there. Once the wire was spun, I indented it, then wrapped it. Its Aliened with 38 gauge wire. Here's the photographic evidence lol

Y'all been terrin it up!!
Here's what I've been doing lately.
Couple 4 cores
4x28/38 ... 1x 26g decore and 1x 24g decore

Monster set I made for a request
.3/28/40 Ni80

A failed groove stick
26/36/.3/30/44

IMG_20190722_101249_730-2.jpg

This next stick sat on my desk for 3 days while I attempted to make something else to go with it. A 38g hedgehog is a rough wrap over a 12 stack fraple. I keep collapsing the cores :/ So I just coiled these up to color and shoot and will work on the other build another time.
Couple pre-fire shots
6 ply .3/28/.3 Alien Tsuka

And a snippet of the hedgehog that never was

lots of great posts in the last couple pages. you guys are making the build gods proud <3 i have barely been building enough to keep myself going lately. been building more for my friends than myself, but i managed to get a nice color shot out of these aliens so i figured i would take a quick pic and post it. these are 5.5 wraps at 4mm 3x28 ka1 with n80 wrap (cant remember if it was 36 or 38). comes to .28 for the hammer of god/aromamizer plus
