My tank taste like...

Shit.

So I got the tank, used about four different types of juices. Had no problem switching between the juices. If it was a juice I didn't like I'd just pour it out and put new in, and in about 10 minutes the old flavor would be gone.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I put this lame ass juice in my GV Aero tank (supposed to be a fruit loop cereal juice) and all I could taste was this manufactured lemony like chemical taste. It was horrible. I dumped it, put some new juice in and still, the overpowering lemon taste. I vaped a full tank of the new juice waiting for it to go away but it was still there. So I just trashed the coil and put a new one in. Primed it and let it sit for about 45 minutes before vaping on it at all. However, spoiler fucking alert, the taste is still there. That taste that's like pinesol or lemon duster.

So I guess my question is, what's the best way to get rid of a juice flavor profile that really sticks? I'm not exactly new to vaping, but I've never really had this problem before. I vaped on and off for about a year and then went back to cigs unfortunately, now I've decided to get back into vaping and lay down the cigs again. So this is my first time vaping in about 2 years.

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

You are going to have to clean the whole tank.
Alcohol followed by water should work.

Drinking alcohol like vodka should work great.

Take the tank entirely apart.
If the glass comes out take it and the orings out.
I noticed that flavor can get stuck in orings

Put everything apart in the alcohol for a few hours then wash it off with warm water.

Reassemble the tank and you should be good to go.

Someone may may come along with an easier method.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep an eye out for any other suggestions as well, because I don't have anything other than rubbing alcohol, which I assume I shouldn't use. I'll pick up some alcohol tomorrow if nothing else works. Should I use the replacement o-rings that came with the tank, or should I just clean the old ones and reuse them, you think?

Anyway, thanks again. It's a bit of a pain in the ass. I actually did have this happen once before when I was vaping now that I think about it. I didn't remember it because I didn't bother with trying to clean and come up with other solutions. I had the buying fever so I just looked at it as an opportunity to buy a new tank and try something new. Financially at the moment, I can't afford to be doing that every time I get a bad flavor in my tank this time around lol.

Dish liquid, wash it like you would anything else, but rinse, rinse rinse.
Rubbing alcohol is fine, just rinse it well.
Vinegar should work too, again, rinse it well.

If all else fails, soak it in a mix of baking soda and water. Annnnd... rinse it well.

Yeah, some flavors are pretty stubborn, but all these things do work. Don't give up on the juice, that lemon pledge flavor does settle down and age well.

When you get done cleaning it, use a food grade o-ring lubricant since most of the cleaning materials will dry it out.

I normally use just hot tap water to clean but when I have a stubborn flavor in a tank that I can still smell a little Dawn and a good rinse afterwards. Always use a new coil and good luck~!

It's a Dawn conspiracy. Some juice manufacturer has figured out if they make crappy tasting juice us vapers will use Dawn dish soap for cleaning away the flavor/s. This gives them a way to profit off of Dawn dish soap stock.

They're using the profits then for further R&D into how to destroy vaping. This R&D spat out the "Oh we must save the children" ploy already. Now, they're coming after flavors adults like and even use in open vaping devices such as mods, tanks, RDA. I say we outfox them and and provide them with Rip Tripper's secret anti-vaping dry knuckle cream recipe.

I would post it from my account but I'm only privileged to two ingredients in it. Cream and water but I forget the correct ratio of them. I know there are other ingredients but Rip Tripper saw I could only count to two and so gave me only two. I think others might know more but I'm not quite sure who these others would be. Rip Tripper never told me and I lack the intellect to simply ask anyone. Rip told me that was probably from smoking cigarettes for thirty five years.

Damn, we need to stop this Dawn conspiracy. Never mind that I wash dishes with Dawn.

Was it store bought eliquid?
I've gotten some pretty bad fruit loop flavors before.
many have had a dominant lemon pledge type flavor that made them unvapeable
That lemon pledge flavor is bullshit but pinesol?
Even worse lemon pledge pinesol that doesn't go away.

Please do tell, What is the brand name of this lame ass juice?

I don't know about anyone else but I know that i'd like to be able to avoid this juice if possible.:)

I never even thought of this.
It's a great idea though.

I usually use straight PG.

I didn't mention the name of the juice because I'm sure a lot of people like it, and I didn't want to throw the company under the bus because they may make some good stuff, but this flavor is just terrible, in spite of it being named the "cereal vape of the year" in 2016 lol. I should have known better than putting it in my tank, it even smells like chemicals, but I could also smell the hint of fruit loops as well and it came in my zamplebox so I didn't want to waste it without giving it a chance. Maybe the pinesol taste just comes from me associating lemon pledge and pinesol together as a child because my mom always cleaned the house with them both, lol. It's really just the lemon pledge that I taste/smell though.

Anyway, it's made by Cali Steam called Crazy Toucan.
