so, you think some juice will still be available?
Maybe for a while anyway. As I said it depends on how aggressively the FDA pursues enforcement.
Technically next May any ejuice not on the US market prior to Feb 2007? without either a filed and pending PMTA or an approved PMTA will not be allowed to be sold. And this includes imported juice.
This also applies to ALL vape hardware.
Any hardware or juice with a pending PMTA next May could continue to be sold until the PMTA is rejected or approved. If approved then it could continue to be sold of course.

However this ONLY applies to ejuice or vape hardware on the market prior to 8-8-2016.
Technically NO vape stuff not on the market prior to 8-8-2016 is allowed to be sold until AFTER a PMTA is approved for it. That date never got extended, enforcement was just delayed.
So I expect all that to become forbidden big time next may when enforcement kicks in.

The thing is, if you're stocked up on stuff that falls under the PMTA, you don't have to worry about it as it relates to your own vaping

I just feel sorry for those who get bit in the butt when the guillotine drops (whenever it actually does)

Personally, I've always felt that taxes will eventually kill vaping as we know it

i kinda thot taxes could save us.
if the govt extorted enow money from us,
they would be slower to kill the industry,

It's terrible for the consumer though

I may never had tried vaping if it wasn't significantly cheaper than smoking
Yep same here. If vaping cost the same or more than smoking.
Especially considering that rough time I had with bad reactions to ingredients in most ejuice.
But then I started to DIY and saw how cheap it could be and that it could actually work for me.

Had I not started to DIY with all natural ingredient flavorings I would for sure have still been smoking.

Vaping is not a well tolerated by the body as is smoking.
And it is more trouble than smoking. More prep , etc required.

I'd accepted long ago I'd die from a smoking related illness

I was spending over $450 a month smoking 2.5 PAD

Wanted to remodel a room in my house but couldn't afford it - and realized I'd of had $4,000 if it weren't for my cigarette addiction - that got me going on vaping really easy - $80 for a cigalike starter, maintenance was less than $50 a month

I'd always known Deeming Regs were on the horizon and had made half-ass efforts at prepping for the day vapes were possibly regulated out of existence or made so god awful expensive it would cost the same as smoking

Once the regs were published in 2016 I went balls to the wall and have a truly lifelong collection - combo of very cheap and very expensive gear

I can easily just buy what flavors I need about once every six months or so and a gallon of VG every nine months (proven with my online receipts) and I like to replace my batteries every 6 months or so

It will be years before I run out of other consumable parts (wire, cotton) and I have enough nic to last several decades, which I may or may not use, lol

I dunno.
Making vape stuff is not banned, selling it is and the FDA will be issuing Stop Sale orders I am sure.
I kinda expect most to try and sell down inventory by May?
But who knows.

what good is making it, if you can't sell it. and "if" they cannot sell on whateeever date. people who need/want the stuff will be wanting to stock up before said date. = tons of profit to be make, IF they have stuff to sell.

whatever is left. the employees, owner get it. or it goes on the black market.

Agreed.
I expect only sealed systems with internal batteries and a max nic level of around 18 MG will be all that is FDA approved.
And yep taxes to keep it around the price of smoking.

I also expect the CC companys to not deal with vape sales unless they are FDA certified.
prolly only in B&M's tat sell approved vape stuff.
And any approved juice will have to be made by a liscenced tobacco manufacturer.

CC companys may well start dropping vape dealers prior to next May.

for me, about the only thing I "would need" to stocvk up on is nic. I have about 3 years worth now. 10+ would be nice. and I would do it in a heartbeat, but I am afraid of it going bad.

I have been using 4 yr old My freedom smokes 100mg in PG and it is still crystal clear and fine.
I put it in 120 ml glass bottles and keep in deep freezer.
I suspect that nic my keep better in PG than VG. No proof though.

Think I will go ahead and get another gallon of PG and VG and another 8 oz or so of CAP VC V1.
Down to a pint of the stuff!!!!

all that stuff is kept in deep freeze as well.

with all that and what I have I will not need anything for a couple of years.

So if all this comes to fruition, will DIY'ers be able to still purchase nicotine in bulk?
According to current regulations afik.
However the FDA recently released yet another document having to do with AP, Diacetyl, and antifreeze.

My current thought is that liquid nic over maybe 18mg will be restricted to licensed tobacco products manufacturers in the not too distant future.

pg, vg n flavors should be safe.

As long as they are not labeled or advertised for use in vaping.

From my understanding wire and cotton, flavorings, etc labeled as for vaping use or marketed as for vaping use are tobacco products.
the same items not labeled or sold that way are not tobacco products.

for example Lightning vapes wire would be a tobacco product while Temco wire would not.
Cotton Bacon would be a tobacco product while Muji pads would not.
Vape Train VT flavors would be a Tobacco product while Capella would not.

At least that is how I read it long ago in the Deeming Regs.

Ok, so then it would be in my best interest to stock up on bulk nicotine, vg, and pg before the shit hits the fan. I will begin preparing and get stocked up before May and see how everything shakes out.

I think that PG and VG will be fine as they are used for other things like soap/candle manufacture, etc.
I do expect nicotine to become an issue though.

There is a recent doc out from the FDA about harmful ingredients in ejuice DAP, etc. That mentions PG/VG and questions purity and such.
I think that has to do with permissible ingredients in any ejuice that might become FDA approved for sale.
And should not effect the sale of said flavorings, PG/VG etc as long as they are not marketed as for use in vaping.

This is of course my opinion on the matter.
I am in my second marriage so obviously I have been wrong before :)

So, my 2nd order of flavors from BCF should be here tomorrow or Wednesday. My first order just made it to Dallas. Anyway the order coming first is the flavors for Chrom's custard. After I get the original down, I'm wanting to try to adapt it for a strawberry custard or blueberry. Has anyone done this? If so, which other flavorings did you use?

It’s fairly basic recipe. You could probably add strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, boysenberries, mixed berries(Forest fruit/Harvest Berry/ Bumbleberry, etc), coffee, bakeries, tobacco.....the possibilities are endless! I love recipes like that!

Cromwell's Custard is an excellent base for fruits, bakery cinnamon, etc. I sometimes put just a bit of CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl V1in a batch.

Down to 3 bottles, I am Cromtemplating mixing up up 3 more tonight.

Cromwel's Custard 120 ml batch.

4 ml CAP Vanilla custard V1
1.6 ml CAP Vanilla Whipped Cream
6 drops NuNaturals clear NuStevia sweetener
Nic to suit.
The balance of 50/50 PG/VG.

Notes:
I cannot tolerate the taste of artificial sweeteners so I use the NuStevia.
Other sweeteners should work but I am unsure of how much you would use.

This mix needs to sit for 24 hours before use for best results. but is basically a shake and vape thing.
Longer steep time seems to make no real difference.
Higher VG levels might require longer steep or higher flavoring levels.

enjoy.
I am just gonna haveta get around to tryin this:facepalm: keep hearin great things about it, where do you get your NuNaturals clear NuStevia Robert?
