I always found LGs terrible in mechs. Sag like a 90 year old's tits. I use them in regulated mods though

Me too - didn't like them much at all

Words of wisdom Unsolicited advice from someone who has left their 40s in the dust; it was the decade I conquered the world

"They" say your 30s are your prime, mine was my 40s - find ways to take better care of yourself that are enjoyable and position yourself for the 50s because nothing will fully prepare you for that shit

Thanks, I only have three more years until then. What I'm learning from my forties is that yes, I've conquered the world, by way of having to conquer myself. I'm also learning that can be a productively beneficial thing. :)

How's everyone liking their Molicel P26As - especially if you've been running them a long while

Being newer for the vape market, not losing their ooomph after six months is a concern

My first sets from February are still running strong as my newer sets from April.

I short cycle them, just habit when I refill my tanks to just slap in a new battery

Resting voltage on each set ranged from 4.17-4.19 new

The ones from February are still all reading above 4.17v rested, haven’t tried the ones from April yet, but I can check real fast with my DMM...

Ok checked them lol 4.17-4.19 still

Haven’t run them in a mech, only mechs I still own are tubes and I don’t vape that style anymore.

I’d like to test the 26’s against the 28’s but not sure I will...nominal mAh increase and I already have 20 26’s...I replaced all my 5As with them and sent about 26 of them to Another bonker which after two+ years those 5As still held above 4.13v rested.

Of course, the Lost Vape Furyan comes to mind - nice, solid squonker, mech with a safety switch

Are they the ones that are a bugger to clean? I don't have one, but I think I read that.
Fits the brief though.

The only squonk mod I've used that comes even close is the Wotofo Recurve, which is semi-regulated single 21700. Probably not as nice as what you want.

If I were going to spend $50-100 on a mech squonker, I'd look at the Defiant Designs DS, but of course that's dual 18650.

All the others on my wish list are regulated.

but, 1 hour and 13 minutes in, no world conquoring yet?

Just wait until the toe stubbing comes along. It will too, or the running your nose into the wall you swore was not there a second ago.

One odd conversation with my mom, who is approaching her mid seventies, recently. "Mom, now that I'm well out of my thirties and going toward fifty, I understand what you meant when everything you did went backwards," I told her. That remark was met by manic laughter. "You just made my day, son."

Excuse me, need to *squonk, squonk* ah there I am. :)

I saw some battery talk about the molicel batteries and I was wondering between a molicel 42a and 30t batteries. What are your personal recommendations for a mech at .18 - .20 ohms single battery.

I did read that the 30t hits harder at first but then the p42a hit more consistent longer. I am planning on using this in a boxer 2x700 mech and since I don't vape under .18 I figured either would work in my scenario.

I am currently using the SQ217 (wasn’t getting on with the krome squonker, so I’ve sold it as I wanted something more mechy) with P42a’s and I can certainly vouch for them. They last me a full day with a 0.29 single coil build (ni80 2x26/38), when I was using a regulated I was doing about 240 puffs per day roughly as a guide. Every time I put them in the charger they’re down to about 3.48-3.54v (I’ve only just started using mechs and thought I’d struggle to know when to change out the batteries, but it’s very obvious in practice!)
I’ve just recieved 2x30t’s today(wanted to have 5 batteries total so I only have to charge every 4 days and still have one spare to vape on while they’re charging) so I will let you know any differences between the two batteries

Thanks for the response. I ended up buying 2 more 30t's for the boxer 21700 and a 40t for my topsides. The 30t batteries perform as desired with my .18-.20Ω builds and they last a long time.

Fellow bonkers, I am sadly here to report, you may want to take a last opportunity to own an OG squonker. REO (reosmods.com) is going to close the doors. Couple years back, the originator sold the company to someone who gave it a shot, but has family/health concerns making it impossible to keep it going. Half off for a few weeks... Still not the cheapest squonker around...or the lowest v-drop...or the smallest...but damn, they are rock-solid. If you want a mod you can rely on for the next 20 years or so...grab one, and maybe a couple spare parts (they sell it all - magnets, screws, + pins...).

I'm gonna stop acquiring...really...it's just, well this was on my short list a long time...but now I can stop for a bit.
Oh, wait...I've got a new Reo on the way, too. Well, I HAD to get one last Reo, right?
:D

Mod, by the way, a Cycloid from Geo Mods, is SOLID. Super-nice, everything snug and smooth (it's black ultem).
Also, for a change of pace, I put in a purchased alien instead of my usual single wire build.
And oooooooh - she's vaping nicely. Good one, Fresno Fog...

Always liked those mods, was very tempted and picking one up...but at that time I was being spoiled by my MMV Palm DNA75...

Of all the squonks I’ve owned, that was the best in hand fitting and built.

I might pick up another...they’re fairly inexpensive second hand.

Got a lot of vapemail streaming in...
Today, I got my 2nd SQ. (the blue - new to me)...
2xSQ-1.jpg

Also, not sure why, but I got a Doge4. Thing is built for cloud-chucking, but I'm a 1-battery mech squonker...
Whatever - got it working pretty good, it's just those airslots are HUGE. I mean, I like "airy" compared to most of the recent new RDA's, but this is nutz. I've got it open probably 45%, while I run most of my stuff wide open. Heck, I traded away a Narda and stopped using Hadalys because, "not enuf air". Finish is cool - that's gunmetal, including the tip, which is some kind of ceramic...

Would really like one of these. Not seeing how to get there from here. It is okay though. I'm sure I have never breathed authentic air either. ;)

Don't know if this might be worth a look, but somehow I think it might be....

Flawless Tuglyfe squonk mod at localvape.com for $38.97, 30% off with code LD30, about 5 bucks for shipping

I'd have bought one by now but I'm already seriously overspent.

Has anyone changed the 510 on a Boxer 2x700? I love how this thing fits in my hand, and the bottle sizes that fit are great. I think it could hit harder though and I've read of voltage drop but am unsure of how to check that.
Could the contacts also be replaced and upgraded?

Realized, I have five squonking mods. 2 Coppervape, 1 Pico Squeeze, 1 Reo Grand clone, 1 custom built wooden box. I usually keep an aluminum CV in hand. Rarely use the Reo clone. Sometimes use a brass CV/Pico. The custom box is set back as a seldom used, it is too pretty & delicate.

I might possibly be able to craft together a second aluminum CV. If able to use a spare bf 510 pin in the top portion of the parts of one, as a 510 connector. Not sure if it would, or would not work. I might try it, might not.

Mon Sep 02 20:48:05 EDT 2019 Well, at least I tried. It is clear a person needs the exact pin.

I have not, but a little googling and I came across this post on reddit...

https://www.reddit.com/r/Squonk_Lif...raded_the_boxer_mech_510_to_moddog_nano_huge/

Now, take it with a grain of salt, I didn't see them show the top side of the mod if the flange of the 510 was the same thickness... could be...would have to take their word for it.

If you have a pair of calipers you can measure the thickness of the 510, then buy really any BF 510 out there.

Places where you can get the MD 510...

https://vapor42.com/product/moddog-22mm-bf-nano-mech-510/

Can get this one also possibly to fit, which I think is a better 510...

https://www.divavap.com/products/connecteur-510-svf-510-svf-connectors?lang=en&variant=8937338929201

and also this one

http://www.svamod.com/en/accessories/10-svask.html

Then modmakers stuff too...

http://shopbsv.com/parts/

If you don't have a 510 tool... add one, don't need the wrench type, just the locking one that fits inside the threads like this...

https://www.originalmoddog.it/shop/en/hardware-tools/98-510-assembling-tool.html

Good luck!

*steps up to the podium, taps the podium* "My name is Ben and I'm a squonk-aholic. Just today I know I squonked at least a dozen times. I have sneaked off into the bathrooms here at home to squonk. It frightens my wife to hear the squonking coming from the bathroom catching her unaware. This terrible habit finds me dozing off holding my mod in ready to squonk mode. I blame a combination of @Hank F. Spankman, @JuicyLucy, @The Cromwell and my own weak mind for becoming a squonk-aholic. Without Hank having kept whispering me off to the side about the great power of squonk, telling me that it held great sway of the Force, I might have remained a clearomizer tootle-poofer. Well, that is my story of decent into the Dark Side."*goes back to his little corner hammock*
