I get great vapor production on some batteries but not others

Hey guys, I've been vaping consistently for about 2 years now. Never before have I come across a problem like this one. I have an asmodus 80w single battery box mod, with a falcon king tank. I vape at 70 watts. Lately, I've stopped getting great vapor production out of it, and my first thought that I needed a new mod. But when I went home to get cash to go to the shop and get a new one, I switched the battery and it suddenly went back to normal! I have 4 batteries, 2 RadioShack 2500 mAh batteries, one Jimren 3500, and a brand new one I just bought a couple days ago. Now all of them except one of the 2500s have this problem. I bought a new charger, still nothing. The one battery works great, the other 3 not so much. What am I doing wrong here? And why is the brand new battery also acting up?

Welcome aboard......:vino:

How many amp are the batteries?

I would assume they are overrated by the manufacturer....amperage wise

You may want to buy some new high quality high drain 18650's

This is a good place to start:

https://liionwholesale.com

I'm going to be honest here.
I do not know anyone who uses RadioShack batteries for vaping.

Most people use brand names like Sony, LG, and Samsung

to add on to what has already been said it might be best for you to not use those other batteries they may have a significant sag or drain on them already and if they are pushed to hard they could cause serious physical harm to yourself and others. it is best to use the brands suggested above from a known trusted vendor such as link above.

Please do not use those batteries...that is a bad accident just waiting for it's time to seriously hurt you. Get yourself some 18650 cells rated at a minimum of 20 amps continuous discharge rating. The problem you're having is that 3 of those 4 batteries can only supply 10 amps or so of power safely. Please use the links provided in this thread to these lists of recommended batteries.

First thing you are doing wrong is buying cheap ass batteries and begging for a blow up. Toss them all in the bin and buy Sony, samsung, LG 2000mah/30A or 2500mah/20-25A or 3000mah 20A HIGH DRAIN batteries.
2nd Radio Shack and Jimren DO NOT MANUFACTURE BATTERIES.. so what actually IS under the wrappers? Your guess is as good as mine, the labels won't help.

Additionally, we do not get a kick back or paid for promoting the batteries we tell people to use. We tell people to use them because they have proven themselves to be dependable and to perform as stated by the manufacturer.

Low end batteries, they would work in a low wattage mod like something that only runs at 10-15 watts and a few Ohm coil, but not at 70 watts with a sub ohm tank so are failing fast because they can't handle the demand.

Even high end batteries only last 6 months to a year with heavy sub ohm vaping before they start declining. High end doesn't mean expensive either, they are only around $5 at liion wholesale.
