hiya, guys.
i bot a ton of cap flavors.
as usual, i don't taste much in juice.

but today, i felt like cake.
i added 9-10 drops of banana split to plain white cake batter.
i didn't have any actual bananas to add, but it came out great.
not even a little artificial.
anyone else using flavors in cooking?
tips?

Wife likes some hazelnut in her coffee.
For coffee be very sparing with the flavor.

I use Capella Sweet Cream in a huge variety of foods. We eat a fairly low-fat diet, so adding the authentic taste of cream is a godsend -- coffee, eggs, cheese sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy.... lots of stuff!

andria. do you add it to milk first?

Sometimes, but not always. And it doesn't take much -- after I put the 2% milk in my husband's coffee, I add one drop of the CAP Sweet Cream flavoring, and it tastes exactly like cream was poured into the coffee, not milk with one drop of Cream flavoring. With eggs, I just add 3-4 drops, depending on how many eggs are being used -- figure one drop per egg. But adding a drop or two to a glass of low fat (1% or 2%) milk makes it taste exactly like whole milk.

That's very creative! Good ideas, all of you!

I've used tfa strawberry to take some of the yuck out of a vanilla meal replacement shake. It was much improved.

All the flavor concentrates we use were actually made for food not vaping. Everything you eat that contains 'natural and artificial flavor' in the ingredients contains these concentrates. Just a matter of finding the amount to use. Unfortunately I have never been able to find any actual baking guidelines for any concentrates besides the cheap grocery store ones.

I used 1 tbsp of CAP French Vanilla in a cheesecake once since I was out of regular vanilla extract and it turned out awesome, made it for a family get together and everybody was amazed by the taste. I've used flavoring in pancakes with mixed results. Tried blueberry and couldn't taste anything, tried french vanilla and they tasted horrible. I've tried drinking the water I used to rinse syringes after doing mixing, but it's never tasted good.

After you've been smoke-free for a good long while, you might try vaping some of those flavors again; it differs radically from person to person, but it took 2+ yrs for my sense of taste to even APPROACH "normal." And I really can't swear that it's "normal" now; it's been a very long time since I started smoking, and pretty much all foods, with the exception of raw foods, have changed drastically (since 1975!).

As they say it is all subjective and never forget about vapors tongue. Because it is real and you might not realize you have it depending on what you are vaping. Good Luck~!

You mean you do not taste different notes on the inhale and exhale?
I never got that either and always thought it pretty much BS from the reviewers.
And the terms the vape mixologists and vape reviewers keep coming up with regarding flavors and vaping...
I am reminded of wine snobs I know :)

I have very good buds with food and beverages too.
with food and beverages it sure does taste different coming back up !
Not so much with vape though.

I agree with both of ya, Cromwell and susieqz; it took me quite a while to really taste my vape, and really that's one of the major reasons for 1) the high level of flavoring I use, 2) the high level of PG I use, and 3) my inability to find any atomizer other than the Achilles satisfactory. But then, I vape the same thing all the time, so most of the time, all I really require is "familiarity." When I started, I was like most of the rest of you, vaping different flavors as the whim took me, but once I started making this strawberry & cream in Dec 2014... nothing else has even come close, and if I do take a wild hair to mix something different, when I hit it, it just seems "odd"... so I finish whatever I mixed (or sometimes just ignore it for 2 yrs and them dump it down the drain), and mix up some fresh strawberry & cream.

I just may have to mix a peach Mountain Dew e-liquid, now that you've said this. Sounds like peach, cream soda, ecto cooler, lemon mix, vanillin....off to ELR I go...

Posted this before but, I had a couple of Corona's in the fridge but no fresh lime. I got my FA Lime (cold pressed) and squeezed a bit in the bottle. It did the trick.

Also got plain greek yogurt once. I usually get vanilla. Plain greek yogurt tastes like sour cream. I added some vanilla (dont remember which) and it turned out great.
