I MAY BE VERY WRONG ABOUT THAT LAST PARAGRAPH, BUT TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE EVERYONE ELSE 'AMERICAN MADE' HAD AT LEAST PARTS MADE ELSEWHERE IN THE USA.
To the best of my own knowledge League Of Scoundrels are fully made in the USA also, machined by Kevin Crump of R6two in California. Only one of the gold plated custom Dragons has 4 diamonds on it... it is the one in my handcheck pictured below, and, I bought it a few months ago.

... that were RELEVANT ...

League of Scoundrels are a niche within a niche

Yes, may be fully made in the USA, but within people using mechs those with LOS are a very small minority (i myself hang with shop owners, been vaping since 2012 and have never seen one)

China vape mail hit the us today. Should b to me tues, est.
I feel the pain. Still waiting on my swell, though it should be here this week, Tuesday hopefully. Could've been worse I guess especially with all the things against me. Vandy putting a hold on it, kicking the release date back 3 weeks. Then it was coming out of HK, not sure if all the riots were just at the airport or if that slowed stuff down at all. Yesterday was 6 weeks since I ordered it.

Shipment info made it to fedex 8-21, landed on the west coast 8-29. The last 2 days it's moved from Anaheim to Nevada, Utah, Kansas, now Illinois and it's around 240mi away. Tomorrow's Labor Day so nothing will move. Hoping Tues or Wed.

All USA made and beautiful pieces!

the look nice indeed. I'd even buy one if it wasnt for all the engravings, reason I'll never buy a pilak, beautiful pieces, ugly engraving IMO

I just like clean, simple designs, for al the mods I have the one I still like LOOKS WISE the most are the roundhouse v1 / ruby v1. 0 engravings / logos / seams lines from top to bottom.

Only mod I have seen with engravings on it that look nice are a few limited edition SS Rogue V1 a friend had.

Again, taste is like A**holes, we all have a different one

They are very much relevant in the particular sense that they're the ones who marked the beginning of an era, a milestone when everything else in the mech universe was still noticeably inferior in comparison to what they were doing as pioneers so basically they were relevant even before anyone else was... they're the ones who invented relevance, and, as a matter of fact they also gave birth to the first Purge Mod. I think R6two are more relevant now than ever before, and, I also think Kevin was asolutely right when he said that not a lot of folks these days care much about whether or not the people who originally helped bring the stuff into existence are still able to make a decent living.

OK,

They have been very mute about it, but after Kennedy vapors, my favorite brand, and the one i had most mods from, was vapemp (Vape American Products), had close to 20 of their rig mods at some point + lots of RDAs and accesories.

Take ALL OF THIS as speculation, it's what i gather from reading bits from here and there

Their main product was always the Rig Mod series, v1, v2, v3, rig pig, rig pig v2, descendant and outlaw.

The founder, James, when he started, had to sell his house and move to a trailer with his wife and pregnant wife to be able to have money and put together their first mod, The OG Rig Mod V1 / Roughneck RDA. Which became highly celebrated and one of the OG American made mech mods worth calling 'competition mods'

He recouped his invested money, then some, and allowed him to move his lifestyle back to where he was (or better) before starting.

P.D.: seems the other american brand that became prominent after his and that posed a thread to his sales, was Kennedy Vapors, where supposedly he helped Steve Kennedy with the first RDA, then hated the bejesus out of him after.

Then came the Rig v2, which i believe in 2014 or 2015 had showed as the mod most used by those that won 'cloud comps' and such (never was part or one of these, just telling what i know)

In 2016 or 2017, a rig v2 exploded in someone's face in florida. It seems someone was using a RDA without a protruding-enough positive pin RDA on it (hybrid mod that had a hybrid disc on top, unlike the v1)

https://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/nation-world/national/article57076523.html

https://saalawoffice.com/e-cigarette-company-sued-due-to-explosion-of-product-in-florida/

my understanding Vapeamp was found guilty (at least of not stating sufficiently and clearly enough that such danger was present) ad was liable for a lot of money.

James was said to have had mental problems to begin with. This, compounded with the fact he was about to lose everything he had (or a significant portion of it), led to his passing away (known know to be a suicide) last year

He left a wife and daughters in a lot of financial burden, vapeamp still liable, and a lot of pressure on the people still at the company to move forward.

They have been working hard during the past year to reoganize the company, leading to the release of the Legacy mod. Not his design but the people still at the company.

AFAIK, only five 'American Made' companies ever machined the mods themselves (versus sending the design to an american shop and then selling it back and calling it american mad) that were RELEVANT, Super-T manufacturing, Vapeamp, Kennedy Vapor, Rogue mods and Purge mods.

I MAY BE VERY WRONG ABOUT THAT LAST PARAGRAPH, BUT TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE EVERYONE ELSE 'AMERICAN MADE' HAD AT LEAST PARTS MADE ELSEWHERE IN THE USA.

back to the legacy, there are two versions of that mod, the special edition 'James' mod, with that engraving of his face and message "You cant be a pussy your whole life" in the body, NOT TO MY PERSONAL TASTE at all. And the one i purposely bought without that (again, to me) distasteful thing (1000% personal thing i reckon)

The mod IS great, best i have had from FML The Rig Mod. If i had to sell al the vapeamp / rigmods i have i would keep the legacy, one outlaw and the pig v2

Vapeamp.com is closed, the people left behind putting together FML The Rig Mod (www.therigmod.com), FML standing for Fuck My Life according to rumors, after the hard past year everyone has had there to come back to its former glory, opened it and has been / still is under re-structuring with the store up and down at times to this day.

It's the LITTLE AND VERY-LITTLE PUT TOGETHER i know about the brand and what happened, there is little info and a lot of rumors here and there, may be 1000% wrong so dont come blaming me for half/full untruths.

Thanks, I’ve never heard of him. But I’m glad people remember him. Not sure it was his fault with that exploding mod, though. But if he was depressed or whatever, it could’ve pushed him over the edge imo. Thanks.

well mods never explode, batteries do, on a hybrid either you pushed that battery way above its limit or you hard-shorted it with a tank / RDA that didnt have a protuding positive pin

That occurred to me as an afterthought! I’m not sure why new vapers want mechs, unless it’s for clouds or something. I have a couple 100w regulated mods that aren’t adjustable and I’m not crazy about them. But I’m not coil building yet, so who knows?
Have a good one.

Well, ya don't know what ya don't know...but ya figure it out right damn quick when something gets blazing hot in yer hand...

What kind of regulated mod is 100W and not adjustable? That's bizarre. I doubt I'd be able to use that under any circumstances. When I came here I was a less-than-20W vaper. Now I'm living on the wild side if I approach 45W.

It’s an iJust 3. It’s only 80w, I checked. It hit so hard when I first got it that basically I bought something else! It was when I was first vaping again six months ago.
I vape at 40-50 now with what I’ve got. But on my Twister mod, I was dialing it up to about 60.
I have a Naut Mini that I vape with salts at @20w. I blew out a coil when I put it on the Twister mod and didn’t dial it down!

Have tried two of the recipes, both good, both close. CBP and Blueberry CPB is pretty much all I vape in a DTL set-up anymore...

Labor day vapemail is the spoils of a trade with our very own Gadget. You know I made out well. I only hope he is as happy with his end. Unfortunately USPS is making him wait until tomorrow.

I don’t DIY yet either.

I don’t DIY yet and I haven’t tried the Country Clouds CBP yet! It’s supposed to be maple-y custard. I may cave and buy it, even though I already spent a bunch last month.

Country Clouds Cornbread Pudding: https://www.eliquid.com/products/corn-bread-puddin-ejuice-by-country-clouds?variant=14686773805105

funny the local vape shop i hang out at was fire selling the brad for $3/60ml one weekend, then $1/60ml bottle, must have bought around 30 bottles b/w two weekends. I prefer the lemon variation though, the chocolate one being my least favorite

I bought two 100mls of the CBP at Breazy for $25 plus tax and s/h. So, not too bad. I got 30% off for the holiday sale. I got one regular and one blueberry.
