I can promise you, @Flavorah is just as good, if not better with keto. I add less than I have to with OoO or any other flavor company out there. and that saying again is.. less is more.. less might be better for me.. or maybe not you! :p

hmm... I joined up at the same time.. think does my badge need adjusting?
Oh hey Smoky.. you have your coffee now :D lol
I'm sure Flavorah is better :) It is the brand that I mostly purchase. However, on my low carb FB pages it would be a hard sell.

Hmm.. not sure why.. if it tastes good, and it does..
MF is even higher, but I have more use for FLV than anything else..
I couldn't imagine putting TFA or FW into something low carb or keto..

Indeed! Can’t believe all the idiocracy
I don't understand how any of this is constitutional, but I'm no law expert. I also think that they know that by the time any of this were to make it to the supreme court it will have already put most of these shops out of business. The crazy thing is that they are banning "flavors" except for tobacco and don't realize that many of the tobacco flavorings are not NETS and are created in the same way the "flavors" they are banning are created. I am also no conspiracy theorist, but this is all so crazy that there has to be more to it.

This is just ludicrous ... I don't even recognize this country anymore.

The FDA barely mentioned the issues with Chantix yet there were 10 times more deaths and thousands of serious injuries associated with that product but vaping as a whole gets thrown under the bus because tainted black market products were used with vaping devices??

This is NOT about public health or even potential youth use, that much is certain.

It's about the money, we all know this is bullshit. As much as we can all point out about the Chantix ( as it IS very true ) it won't make a bit of difference because they will come back with, Chantix is not easily obtainable by kids. and on and on and on.

Know what disgusts me most? I know, without a doubt that the higher ups were HAPPY these people got sick and that some died. This then allowed them to start pointing fingers and saying See see, we told you, vaping is evil. It kills, it maimes, it steals your children.............it gave them an easy convenient excuse to use. It's all about money and control and big tobacco lining their pockets.

EDIT: Also Big Pharma lining their pockets. I should have said that before.

Y'all know that Chantix is the same stuff as Wellbutrin, right? It's an SNRI - selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. People who need and take SSRIs should never take Chantix or Wellbutrin, and more than likely they shouldn't switch from an SSRI to an SNRI. Completely different brain chemistry thing.

I'm no doc either, but I did that mess once, tried to switch my Prozac to Wellbutrin. Won't do that again. Made me even crazier than I already am. Terrible lightning bolts of temper and hostility, brain zaps, floaty feelings. It was too weird.

Does anyone know where they source ecigexpress nicotine(like what brand)? I haven't bought nic from them in a long, long time.
Sorry, I don't. I tried a quick search and couldn't find anything. I have used their nic before and it seemed fine to me. Lately I have been getting mine at Liquid Barn. I believe someone said that LB gets theirs from Chemnovatic? I might be mistaken. Either way, I love their nicotine and their prices

Used to be long time ago... nic select from yeps India... same with wl... but dunno...
I havent bought from a reseller in years..

btw... almost 3 mo now.. nic free and my taste buds have declared nic free juices are even tastier.. I dont miss it but it took me this long to actually get over the hump and enjoy being nic free.. I dont think I can go back to nicotine again..

hi @Smoky Blue

Your Flavorah recipes are inspiring. I haven't been able to try any of them note-for-note yet.

I do have 15+ flv flavors but my luck hasn't run in correspondence to the all-flv recipes I've seen so far.
I love "Smoky's Shamrock Shake" from a couple years ago, 2017. People may forget that older recipes can be awesome too:

Smoky's SHAMROCK SHAKE

5% tfa bavarian cream [2%]
5% tfa MALTED MILK [ 1%]
4% tfa vanilla swirl [2%]
2% tfa sweet cream [1%]
2% tfa white chocolate [1%]
1% LA vanilla butter nut
1% FLV creme de menthe
1% menthol [I omitted, but obv use to taste!]

It seems that the trend is to use less flavoring overall--esp. where tfa and capella and flavor west are concerned. I'm cool with that and can say from experience w/ this lovely recipe (and my own tastebuds) that cutting back if you feel more comfortable with that will still give you a genius blend. I stuck my % in [ ] after the names on the OG recipe.

By the by, Smoky, does Flavorah have a statement to the effect that there are no sugars in any of their flavors? Or perhaps a statement of clarification about which ones do, if any?

This would be of interest not only to people interested in using them for keto diet purposes, but also, of course, for those who don't want to vape sugars of any kind.

(We all know Flavor West has flavors with sugar in them and how that company has been less than fully forthcoming in past about flavor ingredients. Off the top of my head, FW flavors with sugar include: Cinnamon Churro, Tres Leches, Yellow Cake. There may be a few more. (Cake Batter Dip? Don't quote me on that one.. not 100% sure). )

Any info Flavorah has on sugar (I mean like, dextrose, etc - not sugar alcohol compounds like PG and whatever) in their flavors would surely be appreciated here!

Oh I just found this post from "the other" place......................."What's interesting is that ECX and liquid barn are re sellers of nic select."
Interesting. I think I will wait and try out Nic River. I did buy a 150mL size of the smooth nic salts. It's okay but I'm only mixing it with tobacco flavors and for work adventures.

That is a very old recipe from one of my old groups on facebook.. 2016....
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...4&set=gm.980860838660626&type=3&theater&ifg=1

In fact we all taste things different, with taste buds again... changing every 3 days 3 weeks 3 months and 3 years.. by 7 years you are no longer the person you were 7 years ago... what do I think of the standards now.. same.. I like my flavorah a bit too much. :)

All flavors undergo flavor changes too for every batch, so that within so many months/years this too effects how one tastes things..

Lots of things influence taste and characteristics of our ejuice, even time itself. :)

I can only tell you to check the safety sheet, listed on their website.
I know Sweetness is a proprietary flavoring, as well as a lot of them, and they will not give out any declarations etc..
You are more than welcome to send all questions to [email protected] and see what they say :)

With all these vaping bans coming down, Massachusetts yesterday and Rhode Island (my state) to come down today, I am very grateful I found you all when I did. This is a very crazy time.

And my state NY jumped on it really quickly! It’s very crazy.

I think Chantix was making people slightly psychotic and/or suicidal, too. They’re purposely ignoring the tainted carts aspect, even though people have been trying to inform them all over the place.
This change was drastic and happened really fast, which is very scary. It’s about money, bro. Not kids or even vaping. Just dinero.

Try Vapers Tek. I bought 240ml of their EU Sourced nic, and it’s supposedly excellent. It wasn’t really expensive either.

You'd think it's idiotic and it's crazy, but it's actually pretty genius instead. By allowing only tobacco flavor they are effectively training the kids in school to get used to the flavor of normal cigarettes and IQOS, which these kids will then be extremely very happy to switch to after the ban, thus creating a gateway effect where there isn't one, and, this will enable tobaccionists to "prove" that they were right about there being a gateway effect in vaping all along. Do you know who originally thought up the hypothesis that real power over society comes to those who can succeed at uplifting the kids as being the most important asset in society? I'll give you guys a small hint... he was the author of Mein Kampf.

Another new mix, could not wait.

Peach Nectar Cake

Frosting (Flv) 1%
Lemon (FE) 3%
Marshmallow (FW) 1.5% (trying to use this up, reduce for other brands)
Nonna's Cake (FA) 2%
Peach (FW) 1%
Pound Cake (Flv) 2%
Powdered Sugar (OOO) 2.5%
Royal Orange (FA) 1%
Sweetener (VW) 0.75% (or Super Sweet, or FW Sweetener)

Total 14.75%

I get CAKE, fruit right now in the background, mostly I taste real pound cake, golden crust and all.

I know it takes FW Peach about 3 days to get its feet. I can taste the lemon and orange some, but it's subtle.

May have gone too high with the powdered sugar, but I am wondering if that's what's giving me the "crust" of the cake. The buttery browned cake flavor in this is fabulous.

Will be interesting to see what this is like in a few days.

Patterned this after a real-life Apricot Nectar cake that I've been making my whole adult life. Got the recipe from my high-school bff, lemon cake mix with with extra egg and butter and a pack of instant vanilla pudding, apricot nectar used in the mix instead of water, baked in a tube or bundt pan, with a powdered-sugar glaze made with the nectar. Don't have any apricot flavors so used peach instead.

8/15 Added 0.75% sweetener.

It has taken almost two months to get there, but this stuff is fabulous now. That golden crust flavor is still there but is less pronounced. Fruit flavors have smoothed out and the glaze is up front. Think this may be the best cake I've ever made but it has taken a long time to get to its feet.

Well, now I definitely have to mix this. Been needing a peach in my rotation.

I've been trying to decide on a recipe to use flv poundcake in - got it during labor day sale. This looks like this might be it. Do you think it's the Nonna's Cake that's taking it so long to fully mature, or the poundcake--or both? Am thinking of using some fa apricot and tfa nectarine (underrated flavor!) in there.

I recently did a variation on an old peach cream recipe using fa peaches and added 1% fw tres leches and 1% NW Birthday Cake. After a week, the cake flavors still have some slight chemical-y notes. I'm hoping it will come together in a few weeks, but we'll see. Pretty sure tres leches is the culprit in mine. (Also, pretty sure it has sugar in it, so may be better to give it a miss for health reasons. My bottle is just about gone, so this was its last hurrah).

Do you think vaping flavours with sugar in them affect your blood sugar? I’m just curious, if anyone knows.

I've had Nonna's and Flv Pound cake come around in a lot less time than this. I think in this mix it was mostly the FW Peach, which has some kind of bite to it, to me, plus the combination of Flv Frosting and Ooo Powdered Sugar finally woke up. The peach calming down and the glaze waking up has brought the whole recipe around.

I seriously doubt it, but I definitely don't know for sure that vaping sugar won't affect blood sugar.

I think the dangers with actual straight sugars (glucose, dextrose, etc. - not sugar alcohol compounds) are more for the lungs. If anybody has delved into this issue, I'd be very interested to know too.

It is more for the lungs.. however, I am not a diabetic, and the amount inhaled according to those in the know that I know..
pre sweetened ejuices really do not effect the blood stream like we would think..

Oh, wow --that is surprising to me. I can happily vape even fa white peach as a single flavor the next day! Then again, I can't have fa pineapple in anything, ever, cause of throat hit, even heartburn. More evidence for the massive anecdotal subjectivity data set, I guess :)

Chess Pie

Brown Sugar (TFA) 2.5%
Butter Cream (Cap) 2%
Butter Pecan (FW) 1.5%
Cinnamon Crunch (Flv) 1%
Condensed Milk (NR) 2.5%
Dutch Apple Pie (FW) 0.75%
Glazed Doughnut (Cap) 1.5%
Lemon (FE) 2%
Molasses (TFA) .75%
Pie Crust (FW) 2%
Vanilla Bourbon (FA) 1.5%

Total flavors 18%

To me this tastes surprisingly light for this level of flavoring. The lemon was a last-minute addition, could just as easily be peach or an up-front apple as well.

I just mixed it night before last. The creams may come forward some in a week or so, but I don't expect it to change a whole lot.

I was afraid this was going to be too much like the Pecan Pie I made a few weeks ago, but it really isn't. It's much lighter, has almost a crystalline "feel" to it, like the brown sugar crumb topping that's on coffee cake.

ETA: I was patterning this after the brown sugar chess pie my mother-in-law used to make, which was the first chess pie I'd ever had. Still have only had this and the chocolate variation, so not sure how this would compare to what most people would expect of a chess pie.

I just saw the thread with Cromwell’s Custard, and it only has 3-4 ingredients! Yay. So I’ll be getting them next week, and it may be one of my first attempts at mixing.
Although, I do have a few one shots, so maybe I’ll try those first.
Thank you all on this thread. You’re the best inspiration and help that I could ask for. :hugs:
