What did you do today that is vape related?

I’m using an Aegis solo. I made a few posts saying I had the legend (my uncle told me I did so I got confused until I checked the box)

I’m planning on upgrading to the legend or the aegis X.

I have two Solos and I love them! The Legend is a pretty big/heavy mod, imo. But a lot of folks love them!
Listen to what gear people have and ask questions. I hope you love it here. ECF was very unfriendly. If I had stayed there, I may have just quit vaping!

Okay. Thank you! I’ve been vaping for several months now, but I’m still learning everything. I’m still in the beginner stage.

But you came to the right place! Stick with the Solo for now, it’s a reliable and nice mod imho. I’m using mine right now!
After another few months or so, vaping will be second nature to you. Just think, you’re not smoking around your baby! Yay!

I've been vaping for 4 or so years and I still consider myself a beginner. I don't know if I'll ever not feel like a beginner. The part about adding versus upgrading was supposed to be humor. Keep reading the forum as you are and you'll quickly learn that many of us will come up with any excuse to get a new mod or vape gear. I've ordered 4 mods this week.

But you have a local vape guru. :jealous:

Thank you both!
I’m learning a lot so far just reading around in this forum. I’m already planning on customizing my little baby. It’s literally attached to my hip at all times... well always in my pocket at least.

If you find a tank that you really like, the Solo will not let you down. I bought another one when the NY bans hit, since I really do like it. I’m not telling you not to get anything new, it’s just there’s no need to feel like you *need* to buy another mod right away, imo. I bought a bunch of stuff that I don’t like/use anymore, so I’m just giving you a heads up.
A lot of folks here use mid range gear. What tank do you have on it now, btw?

Right now it’s a Cerberus tank. I’m looking at the falcon king tank

I have a Falcon and it’s not one of my faves. But not the Falcon King. You may want to check out a Freemax Fire Luke Mesh. It’s really excellent, imo. Breazy has the FL Mesh on sale now. Even as an extra, you might like it. ($20!) Also, the Valyrian tanks are pretty good and huge.
I didn’t use the Cerberus, but a tank is where you can customize. Look around, but don’t rush to buy. I’m trying to help you not blow a bunch of money on stuff you really don’t need. Especially since you have a kid!

Thank you! I appreciate it! I’m planning on visiting my local vape shop sometime this week so I can look around and ask questions. I definitely want a different drip tip. Which they’re an easy buy.

Oops, I forgot to mention getting a backup rig. Whether you’re charging batteries or the mod, or if something happens, you’ll need a backup mod. Good that you’ll be talking to people in a shop.

So think about what you might want. If you’ve seen anything you like, etc. You’ll want a backup, it just makes it easier. When you’re recharging one mod, you’ll be able to vape the other one.

I’m basically giving you the same advice I got, when I first started vaping. I really hope it makes things easier for you !

It’s funny you say that, cuz another member already told me to have a backup mod. I have my pos Orchid as a backup. It’s a literal piece of shit. A piece of plastic on the inside snapped when I took a pod out and I can only keep pods in by using hair ties lol.

I have both. I like my Falcon. (Probably best with M2 coils, though the M1 coils are not bad.) Biggest downside is they can be prone to leaking. I think the trick there is to make certain the coil is well & truly snugged-down. I really like the Falcon King (I have two). With their bigger coils & more airflow I'm getting really dense, flavourful, just slightly warm vapes out of them at ±53W on my Kaos mod.

Don't have anything else to which to compare those two tanks, so I cannot say how they compare to others. When I was researching I found the Freemax Mesh Pro nearly always one of the top two or three tanks recommended. Nobody around here carried them, and I was offered deals on the Kings to which I could not say "no."

The Sense Screen gets a lot of props, too. I've read here that the Augvape Skynet with Falcon M2 coils really rocks. If I see that tank for a really good price somewhere, perhaps I'll snag one, since I'm already stocking Falcon coils, anyway.

Re: Add'l mods: I have my old Joyetech eVic-VTC Mini as a backup and I use it for my travelling mod with a Tobeco Mini Super Tank. With a single 18650 it of course won't last as long as my Kaos, but it otherwise works just as well and the display is easier to read in bright light.

But you can always squirrel another one away for @$30, and have two since the vapocalypse has come a bit early, sadly.

Anyway, yours is like OG now, so don’t feel bad.

I sold mine for half what I paid, after filing down the burrs in the battery compartment that caused it to short out and do nothing but blink. I did not enjoy that mod, I need two batteries or a good chipless mechanical for my style of vaping :>

Leaking was my reason for not liking my Falcon. It may not happen with every Falcon tank, though. I have two Fire Luke Mesh (not Pro) that I love. Plus two Fire Luke 2 tanks that I love and that share coils with the Mesh.
It’s great when you find a setup that’s really excellent! Enjoy it, glad you came back to vaping and VU!

Right now I’ve been shopping for drip tips and tank bands. I want a drip tip that matches my solo and I NEED a tank band to try and protect it from breaking since I drop my mod all the time. Freaking butter fingers

Thank you!! I found this adorable blue fox glass drip tip that I want. It just looks cute, doesn’t look practical for use. (Mouthpiece is odd and small) but I found a resin one that matches my mod.

Ooo I like that! I found some basic ones on amazon, I’m sure they’re not going to last long so I’m probably going to get a 20pc order so I don’t have worry about them snapping and having to rush and get more

I found one on eBay that was thick, but it was plain black. But I’ve seen ppl take the thinner ones and use two at the same time.
You’re lucky NJ isn’t banning!

Do you have the blue Solo? That’s the one I bought when this banning bs started. I haven’t used it yet, but I got a black metal FL Mesh for it. I need some good drip tips, too. Most 810’s are too low and wide!

Reorganized all my vape stuff, now that I finally emptied and cleaned most of the stuff I wanted to put away. Filled up a tote with boxes containing the putaway gear, put empty boxes in a big shopping bag (except for the atomizer boxes that wouldn't fit). Helped me deal with some of the mess that's been sitting around getting in my way.

Somehow I still have too many mods sitting out. Might have to go another round in a few days. If I pack up another four rigs, think that will be about right.

Also switched out the squonk bottle in a Pulse 80. Kept tasting perfume in the other bottle, yuck!

In the process of reorganizing things, found a 26650 battery that had somehow gotten away. I had the empty box in one place, and the battery in a battery case in a different place. smh.

Vaped while drinking Coffee running a Fucking Drive Cycle Test on my Vehicle. Cut down on ML's intake recently but today I pounded the ML's.

I have just built the RDA From Hell. Sig-S I've had a long time and just found in a box meant for something else. Found it while I was reorganizing this afternoon. Been looking for a 22mm copper RDA to sit on a copper SloJo mech tube, had one here the whole time.

Not my normal thing, it's one of those old three-post bastiges, I hate the damn things, but now that I have it going, it isn't half bad. 0.3 ohms on the nose for the two coils, heats up quick (N80 26ga round, 5 wraps). Not bad at all.

This is the one I set on fire one time. Hope it isn't still pissed at me. :D

If you really want to save money, dump the sub ohm tanks and get into RTA's. That's the best thing I've done since I started vaping.
I did the RTA and RDA thing before. It was amusing at the time. Now I just want to add juice and vape. Still: Of the old stuff I cleaned up with the intention of selling here: I'm keeping back my favorite RDA (VLS Vector), RTA (UD Goblin Mini), building materials (wire & wicking), and tools. I don't plan on acquiring any new rebuildables though.

Speaking of which: Today's vape-related thing I did was bought replacement dual coils for my Falcon Kings. Got free shipping on 'em, too :)

I think I have prepper status, I think I may be set for two tears or more. Just a little more fine tuning.

I hear ya. I've been kinda prepping by getting mods and juice. May still get another mod or 2 on black Friday and a couple more RTA's though. I'm about to start focusing on getting into DIY and building up a nicotine, VG, and PG stash. Looking to be prepared for at least 5 years. Hell, I may go big and go for 10...:D

Best off with a few Quality rta's and have spares like glass and grub screws.

VaporDNA. I believe I got the free shipping due to credits I earned for creating a new account.

If I hadn't spent so flipping much money on vape gear and juice in the last week-and-a-half I'd have bought more than just six of them.

I spent hundreds on gear the last two or so weeks. Mostly juice, though. But I’ve got so much now, I can relax about the bans here for a while. At least I can get coils here. But this is AFU.
I bought a few things at Vapor DNA, they’re a good company.

I almost bought another Carbon @ vDNA but they also had a paranormal in stock. could not make up my mind. So I figured I would get both, but it fell short of 25%, thre wer a few other things I needed but all out of stock. Frustration always makes me second guess myself
