Simple recipes

OK Here's the Noob mixer. So far I've done 4 juices and I'm very happy with them all.

1. @The Cromwell 's Custard. Very simple. Only 2 flavors. It's a very clean flavor. I did opt to not use any sweetener and I adapted for 70/30 ratio. Very good after only a couple of hours and gets better each day.

2. GOC. The tried and true. Been around for a while and with good reason. Not as simple of Cromwell's.

3. Strawberry Chromwell's Custard. I couldn't resist screwing with it. Used the same as in no.1 but adapted to add Strawberry. Damn nice after 3 hours. Still very simple but now a hefty 3 flavors.

4. Vanilla Cake. Another very simple 2 flavor recipe I found on https://e-liquid-recipes.com. I've very pleased. I can see where this would be easy to adapt to add some fruit flavors.

For now, all 4 of these will be in my rotation. Yes, they are all very similar profiles but also quite different.

Why the hell did I wait so long to DIY? The juice is so much cleaner than mass produced juices. There's a purity to it. I don't see it gunking up my coils either. Now what the hell am I supposed to do with all this other juice I have? I haven't even wanted anything

my experience is te same as yours, don
all evening i vape crom's custard or a variation of it/
morns i do a simple peach or mint.

i refuse to bother with those fussy recipes with a zillion ingredients.

we need to spread these simple recipes to those who need to protect themselves from
the witch hunt but aren't going to do 1% of this n 2% of that.

This is a simple recipe HIC found on an Italian website with no author to credit. It was buried in some thread here and I have no idea where it is now.

2% FA Cuban Supreme
2% FA Espresso
2% FA Caramel

I don't taste the Cuban tobacco part, it melds in with the coffee. This vapes as a sweet caramel coffee.

Go to ATF. There are tons of 3-2-1 recipes. It was a thing for a while.

That's one I will try. Funny thing is My wife's aunt recently went to Cuba and brought me a Cuban cigar. I may smoke it one day or gift it to one of my cigar friends.

Either PIF those older flavors, pitch them, or try to massage them into something "better".
I was referring to the drawer full of store (internet store) juices sitting behind me. It was also a poor attempt at tongue n cheek.

Do Stand Alone Flavors of your to perfect them and then mix them is what I recommend to people new to DIY. Worked for me so I hope it helps others.

This is good advice. It changed the game for me as it teaches one how strong a flavor is, how it fades and how long it takes to come out when mixed.

As far as I'm concerned, if a potential mixer is turned off by knowing that some level of precision is required in mixing, then they can just be turned off. It's part of learning to mix. Otherwise, it would just be (1) buy some bottles of stuff, (2) pour as much as you want into another bottle, (3) figure out if you can stand it.

Gonna be honest in the beginning of going down the diy rabbit hole...basically everything i tried to just create was junk. So i did small 30ml bottles. Experience be it good or bad will bring some skill. Now some juices i mix r my own creation and i still use pleanty of other peoples too.

Many are only 3 flavor recipes. Personally I don't consider a recipe complex if it has only 1-4 flavors. I also wouldn't dream of calling anyone's recipes stupid period. We pretty much all started mixing to suit our own personal tastes and maybe (big maybe) to save money.

A dash of this and a dash of that, mixed with a drop here and there are what makes DIY awesome.
Imagine collectively how much research has been done by all the DIY'ers out there doing all this alchemy and then sharing it for kudos.

If someone has a recipe known to be amazing that calls for four drops of some weird flavor that you can only get in France and it makes a difference, then it is worth getting and putting in those four drops. Who knows how much effort was put forth creating that recipe.

Those little "complexities" are not really complexities. They are what makes DIY better than commercial juice. Commercial juice is designed to be just good enough, the rest is marketing. To me, DIY is where the gourmet stuff is. I personally don't care if it is 1 or 100 flavors as long as its amazing.

It's no more difficult to weigh in 2 flavors than it is to weigh it 12. The only time it isnt worth it is if it tastes like cat piss and was just made to look good on paper.

So how much of each?
Id have to pull out my recipe notebook. But i belive its 18% blueberry jam and .3 cool mint. The cool mint is over powering so have to mix lightly with it. I personally like the mint to come out in the back end of the recipe

I also mix with a heavy hand as its just what i like. So as always everyone else's % would vary based on taste

When I cook, I add spices based on how I feel, but I don’t think I should do that with DIY juice! But thanks for the inspiration.

Basically I haven’t found one flavor of juice that I can vape without trying to tweak it with some other juice.
Doctoring juice is like when you first get married and you have to buy bargain tomato sauce, and if you don’t doctor it you don’t want to eat it!

So 50/50 of each? Just a rough idea. Anyhoo, I think I’m going to pull the trigger and try one of my one shots tonight. I’ve been wanting to do it, and I’ll have time later on.
