This looks good to me but I have to ask ... most Cotton Candy flavors are largely just Ethyl Maltol, is the FLV offering significantly different?

Pretty much and its proprietary.. just something that must be tried.
I enjoy it from a few drops, up to around 1.2% depending on what I am using it for.
I dont get the usual "EM' taste.. its a real cotton candy to me, when steeped.

I haven't tried flv cotton candy, but recently watched the youtube Noted series on sweeteners.

Starting at 58:20, ID10-T says it seems to have plenty of EM, but tastes like marshmallow-flavored cotton candy, with more of an actual flavor (including vanilla) and more sweetness in it than regular cotton candies.

Well a certain someone had to use Pucker way too much 3% he declared it was a tobacco...
when if you add 1-3 drops in 30ml, it will make you really pucker.. so....
I like it with the bar back bitters.. it makes my tongue react.

Link to the Pucker juice.. :)

Take everything with small drops of flavor, rinse and repeat :)

I've been making this for a couple of years now and still enjoying it now and then. Although I prefer subbing in tfa Bubblegum rather than FW

Thanks for this - I am kind of obsessed with nostalgia bubblegum lately. My limited experiments with grape bubblegum (only the last three or so weeks) tell me that vanilla (swirl, in my case) and marshmallow both really round out a bubblegum flavor and give it that full-mouth, almost juicy (but not quite) feeling you get from real gum.

This has taken a long steep to get rid of the weird notes attendant with FW Tres Leches (warning: probably contains sugar). But after nearly three weeks, it's coming into its own and without sweetener of any kind, is amazingly sweet. I'd attribute that more to the Juicy Peach and the Sweet mango than the Tres Leches. Tho I guess one can never tell...

I feel you could leave out the Tres Leches cake flavor entirely, and if you don't have the somewhat obscure NW Birthday Cake, sub Vanilla Cupcake or another birthday cake flavor at similar percentage.

Flow State Peach Mango Cream (lirruping, version 2) 9/19/19 30ml , 20/80

4 tfa Juicy Peach
2 fa white peach
3 cap VCVI
1 INW Mango
1.5 cap sweet mango
1 fa Vienna Cream
1.5 NW Birthday Cake
1 fw tres leches

I think you maybe meant to respond to someone else's post on Pucker? :) Mine was on Cotton Candy.

I looked at the recipe link and it looks complex and interesting. Naturally, I only have four of the flavors.

What is Ranier Cherry like? It sounds nice. I only have FLV's Black Cherry, which I like, but which is getting old now.

I'm also curious--since the linked recipe is for pods--what makes a recipe particular for pod systems?

Not a clue, @lirruping brain gap tonight...

Rainier Cherry replaces Bing.. and its one of the sweet cherries, but not like the cherry you would find in say a Shirley Temple..

It can be for both pod and reg.. and what makes a pod recipe a recipe suitable for pods?

When you can get a bit complex, but yet stay true to the main simple flavor.
I have zero issue vaping Power Pucker from a tank or a pod.. same good taste from them both..
nothing dull or muted, and my tongue reacts the same way.. kind of fun to take around those that like to try other juices to watch their faces :)

Bubblegums are my favorite vapes. Sometimes I'm tempted to just phase out everything else. :) Well, except coffees. And chocolates.

Here's mine:

Grape Bubblegum

Cinnamon Red Hot (TPA) 1.5%
Dragonfruit (TPA) 0.5%
Ethyl Vanillin 10% (TPA) 4.25%
Grape Juice (TPA) 4%
Marshmallow (FA) 1.75%
Orange Mandarin (TPA) 2.5%
Wintergreen (FW) 3.5% <--- FW Wintergreen is considerably stronger than TFA Wintergreen. Bump at least 1% if using TFA.

Total 18%

This looks awesome. It's going on my list. Reminds me--and I'll say it looks improved--of the first bubblegum recipe I ever tried:

HIC's Pink Bubble Gum "This is the flavor of original 1928 pink Double Bubble."
(REcipe's on here somewhere but I can rarely find anything with the search).

"I quit trying to fix vendor versions, researched bubble gum history, learned the actual chemicals used in American pink bubble gum, and made my own recipe with flavorings that use those same chemicals. This is the flavor of original 1928 pink Double Bubble." --HIC

2% TFA Wintergreen OR 2% Nature's Flavors Organic Wintergreen
2% Vanillin
1% TFA Cinnamon Spice
1% Flavour Art Orange

Also, for gum lovers, I made this with 1% wintergreen instead of spearmint and loved it. Not exactly "bubble gum"--either one, but tasty both ways. Puts me in mind of Black Jack gum which made a comeback in the early 2000's. BJ has clove in it, not cardamon, but not too dissimilar. Anyway, the below is tasty and super easy if you have the flavors on hand.

HIC's Lawsuit Gum (Eclipse Breeze Exotic Mint)

1% FA Cardamom
1% FA Peppermint
1% FA Spearmint [or wintergreen]

HIC's pink bubblegum is where I started. I have an adaptation of that recipe that I'm still using for pink bubblegum, plus I've made Tutti Frutti, Sour Peach, and now Grape, all variations of that same recipe.

Good catch! :D

You're welcome. I don't believe a perfect Bubblegum is out there but that's the best I've tried. I don't like cinnamon in my Bubblegum though as many others do

I’m amazed that he researched the original gum from 1928. I love it! I’ve never tried bubble gum juice, but now I’m curious. The Lawsuit gum sounds great. And not too many ingredients, yay. Thanks.

Honestly, I need to pay more attention to the flavors names and brand abbreviations................I will be better in the future, I promise. THIS is what I use in my lemon tart. @Huckleberried If you bought the other already, I don't want you to be stuck with it so I am more than happy to buy it from you.

Does anyone have an easy recipe for a chocolate chip mint cream? Like the ice cream, but with not so much chocolate. VR mixed me something really good, but he’s MIA. Hope he’s okay.

All Flavorah
1.2% Cream
.12% Vanilla Bean
.4% Milk chocolate
.2% Ice

alright, so i mixed this for my nord and I'm still having some issues. Just put a new coil in even and it's still not great

upload_2019-10-8_11-3-41.png

maybe it's not enough flavor? Idk. I'm not great at pod mixing and I need to get there. I bought some Diner Lady Lemon Tart salt juice and it was amazing, but I can't and don't want to buy anything else. I used the PG instead of the PEG this time and it still isn't vaping great at all.

Oh @88ArDeN88 I could hug you! I made up the suggestion you gave me for Vader and WOW. Perfect. I mean sure, it has been a few years since I tasted Vader but this is excellent and best I can recall, spot on!

I didn't have the Caps VCV1 so I used INW in it's place. I hate Caps but that was years ago and I may have had the V2, so I did order a small bottle of the V1 to give it a try again. But with the INW it's wonderful. Thank you so very much.

Well that was lucky hahahaha. I am so glad it worked out. What did you end up doing as a final recipe? I'd love to try it out, I don't use my cookie dough very often.

I've been using the INW Custard lately and it's fantastic. I just ordered 100ml, I like it that much.

INW Custard - 3%
FW Hazelnut - 2%
FLV Cookie dough - 1.5%
FA Cookie -0.5%
FA Custard Premium -1%
Sugar Daddy Sweetener- 0.3% ( it was 1 drop for 10ml ) scale normally jumps from .3 to .4 soooo 1 drop, close enough.
I tried it first without the sweetener and that was fine also. It is nice both ways.

I will let you know how it is with the CAPS VCV1 when it gets here.

I just figured it would impart a little more vanilla on the mix. I don't love caps custard either, but I don't hate it.

I wish I could but pods are not my thing. I have a Pasito but only take it when going out and I don't do that much these days. All I ever did with mine was bump the nic and flavor. :( sorry. I only make like a small 5ml amount for it and I doubled the flavoring percent. Try it, it's only 5ml and you can always dump it out and just add some base to it so you can still use it, if it's horrid doubled up. What flavor are you wanting to use. I use a ry4 in mine. Using the Double RY4 from FA ( Flavor Apprentice) and yes I got up and looked this time to make sure :)

When I did that FA contest thing, the only thing Wayne said was that my recipe was too light....that I should have upped my %. It was mixing for a pod type thing. Sorry I have no other insight.:(

So i'm probably on the right track. I realized from vaping on the mix even though it doesn't have much flavor that it isn't tasting burnt, it just taste like lightly flavored vg lol.

The very short time I mixed with nic salts, I had to very nearly DOUBLE the amount of flavorings I used in my recipes. The salts just took all the flavor away.

First juice I mixed with salts was for my son. I didn't realize at the time there would be any difference. He tried it and said, "What did you do to this? It doesn't taste like anything!" Seriously, it tasted like almost nothing. Bump your percentages up by at least 50% over what you'd normally mix for freebase nic. That will at least give you a starting point, and I'm telling ya, you may have to go higher than that, to taste anything in a lower-wattage, higher-resistance pod.

Do you have a tank that takes plus ohm coils? I’m using a Nautilus Mini with 1.2ohm coils at 15-20w with 50mg salts.

All that depends too on which manufacture you are using.. if it isnt flv.. then raise it up..
Only way to really understand is for you to work on solos first, in the pod you are trying to mix with.
Your own tongue is better than any amounts I can tell you to mix with..
Start low and work up.. or heck jump right on in what what you already know.. up to you to get the work done :)
