I am searching for an old SMOK vape model someone might have sitting in their junk drawer that they would want to sell.

See attached pictures for reference.

Do you know the model or just looking for a burned up mod? Wtf happened? Apparently the batteries vented but do you have any idea why. Was it a misfire or did you have it in your pocket. Have a hard time telling its a smok let alone the model

All the info I have is in the pictures, unfortunately. The vaporizer is SMOK, so I assumed the machine itself was also, but that was a guess. I don't know make or model really. I am taking a long-shot hoping someone on here will know and will have one.

So this isn't yours and didn't happen to you? Not to try and grill you but this is seriously serious. Could've been very harmful to whoever. Maybe get some more info from whoever and let us know.

Yup. It is "seriously serious" as you said. The gentlemen that owns it was seriously injured. He has no more information than I do as he didn't keep any documents pertaining to the device or purchase.

Why the heck would you want to buy a used one if the batteries failed in the one that you don't know what it is?

Hmm, doesn't really look like most older Smok mods. Perhaps an iStick clone?
Here's the rest of the images: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/broncojared03/library/SMOK?sort=3&page=1

Looking for someone to sue? I'm verry sorry that this happened, but I find it hard to believe he didn't know what he'd bought.

Definitely not an iStick, and if a clone, they didn't even get anything about the outside right. Plus, the ones that caught on fire (a problem quickly addressed btw) had built in batts

Profile says 31yo...could be a young lawyer. Certainly sounds like one, IMO.
Perhaps Phoenix, AZ area?

So what exactly are you looking for and why?

I am looking to replace the old unit that has malfunctioned.

This is even funnier - I happen to have one in the vapocolypse stash :giggle:

If you're willing to part ways with your old unit let me know. I'd like to buy it.

Pretty sure my sister has the blue still

If she would like to sell it, let me know, I would like to buy it.

TBH, I'd suggest getting him something a bit newer and more proven as a replacement.
There are literally hundreds of mods that have come out since that old Smok mod, some good, some not. No mod is foolproof though, the user still has to learn battery safety and basic usage of the device.

I would not suggest charging batteries IN the mod. Get a separate charger like a Xtar or Nitecore.

I don't have a lot of dual-battery mods that I'd suggest, others probably can. Me, I'd say get him an Evic Vtwo Mini. Or, for smaller, an Eleaf Pico.

They are not the newest mods, but inexpensive and relatively simple. Quite capable and proven mods, I've owned two of each for a few years now and they are still working well.

Never heard of one going kaboom either. Although with abuse, any mod can be unsafe just like a car or a hammer. :)

I'd suggest let whoever it is buy a new one for themselves and remember what he bought this time. Unless his injuries were so severe he had brain damage then he shouldn't be worried about vaping anymore anyways. Sorry everyone to be a dick but this is sketchy as fuck. He looking for a reinactment mod. Fuck that.

I appreciate the info. The purchased unit won't be used to replace the old one for actual vaping use.

Appreciate the suggestion. Though, you've made a ton of assumptions that aren't correct. The purchase of a used unit isn't for reenactment, nor will it be put back into use.

So, why do you need one then, for evidence?
Are you an attorney, LEO, or otherwise employed as part of an investigation?

You are obligated to disclose such things...you sure talk like a cop or lawyer with terms like "unit" and "device".

Perhaps like this old case: https://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/new...urned-e-cigarette-exploded-in-pocket-10777714
Except, that was clearly another brand of "vape device".

The "documents pertaining to the device" is what caught my attention. That's not vaper talk.

Funny. But, not sure how it applies to a potential sale of a used mod.
It applies because you got me to tell you what the mod is. Now you want to buy my sister's and idk what you're going to do with it. I don't want to be involved.

Too many questions with this post. I don't want to be fooled twice.

Well, Jared apparently did intend to go to law school, 2013 I think it was....

Fishing is a popular sport, eh? Most anyone can do it. ;)

Listen, my friend.....no one is going to sell you what you’re looking for. You joined the forum 8 months ago, solely to find a mod to use for what ever bull shit reason you have. You were vague, yet stated that the mod was not for vaping or exploding. You were called out for sketchy behavior and shenanigans and fuckery. And, yet, here you are again!

Please.....just go and don’t come back. No matter what you say.....no one is going to sell you that mod. We can smell bs a mile away.......

I think this may be the craziest shit I have seen. You want a mod that caused serious injury to someone? Why would you want anything to do with it after you saw the effects of its performance UNLESS you are either a lawyer, or trying to reenact the situation on yourself for a lawsuit?
