First thanks to are own @SnapDragon NY on for posting this here at http://vapingunderground.com/thread...-enablers-lurking.447800/page-38#post-2623551

Sorce: https://www.caixinglobal.com/2019-1...ling-e-cigarettes-to-us-buyers-101469276.html

Snip
Two of the biggest Chinese e-commerce giants said they will stop selling e-cigarette and accessory products to U.S. buyers amid a proposed ban on certain flavored vaping products after rising lung injury cases associated with vaping.

Alibaba Group said Wednesday that starting Oct. 10 listings for vaping products will not be displayed for U.S. users and orders from U.S. buyers will be blocked.

JD.com Inc. announced a similar move, saying any shipping of vaping products to the U.S. will be suspended, according to a Chinese media report.

Vaping products have been linked to a deadly lung illness that is reported to have led to 18 deaths as of Oct. 1, with 1,080 confirmed and probable cases of the lung injury, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

U.S. President Donald Trump recently called for the Food and Drug Administration to ban all non-tobacco-flavored e-cigarettes from the market.

Edit : possible connection found by me https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...tm_campaign=newsletter_axiosvitals&stream=top

snip U.S. e-cigarettes maker Juul Labs Inc, which faces a widening crackdown on vaping at home, has entered China, with online storefronts on e-commerce sites owned by Alibaba Group (BABA.N) and JD.com (JD.O) to tap the world’s largest market of smokers.

Sounds like JUUL has decided what we will all vape, and they are playing the market like a game of chess.

Oddly though they slit their own throats by removing the queen, India has banned everything vaping. That was the world's largest market. Although, given Altria also owns Marlboro cigarettes which still sell like water in India, they still retain the queen.

Do we want to play chess? I might have some thoughts. Nothing more publicly though. Will use text electronically using one time pads & further encryption. In the clear? Forget it.

With that, dub me an "insurgent".

Secular black markets will thrive and little clandestine operations will pop up to scratch the itches that come as a result of prohibition. I mean shit, we got Nascar as a result of the alcohol prohibition and the bootleggers. Hopefully, the propagandist and scum selling us out for their own financial interests do not get away clean, that bit is what I am most concerned with.

The decline of quasi legal available vaping supply sources is accelerating and will keep on accelerating.
If you want something do not wait to buy or it may be a case of you snooze you lose.

I say Quasi legal because the sale of vape stuff in the USA has not been legal for some time. Only the enforcement was delayed not the legality of selling vape stuff in the USA. All of the legallity extensions have passed.

These two represent ~80% of Chinese e-Commerce market to US

Everyone ready for $500 Smok mods with no paint?
Nope some of us prepped pretty well. I do have a couple of 65W smok mods I picked up for $10. Removeable battery but cover held on with screws :)
Haz blue tooth too they say!
Last resort stash stuff.

And few current Smok mods last long enough to sell.

Was thinking of those who have not thought to prepare. Of course most of those will likely just go back to cigarettes.

Yep I have sympathy ffor former smokers that use vape to quit and stay quit. Like me for one.
And bans will likely prove that vaping is a gateway to smoking for some, if vaping is removed as an option for the vapers that never smoked and did get hooked on nic... Will they go to tobacco for their nic?
I am thinking mostly of Juul users.

Can confirm. I just checked the product page from my order and this is what I get:

Never ordered vape stuff fro Ali Express. However have ordered a LOT of electronics components and such from them.
Do not think I ever ordered fro Ali Baba.
I do wonder if FT is following suit? MUCH of my vape stuff came from them.
Just got a couple of Wasp Nano's and 5 drip tips from them a few days ago. A late vapeapoclypse purchase. I only had 9 of them ;)

I've ordered a couple of clones from a random store, but everything else has been from the Geekvape store on Alibaba. Strangely enough, on Geekvape's own site, the mods were more expensive than Ali so I went with them. Up until now they were offering 2x Geekvape Solo's for less than $60, so I've been buying as many as I could. I was able to get a dozen of them at that price. Guess that's not an option anymore :(

Unfortunately when vaping is banned and smoking rates rise the anti vaper will see this as justification for their belief that vaping was a gateway to smoking

Do not have any of those but from what I hear are decent mods. And a dozen should last you a good long while.

Yep, that's so the govmt can say "see we told you so" - fits in perfect with their agenda

I have the original that takes 26650's and it was perfect except for the weight. When I saw the solos' were being released, I jumped on them asap. My first order from the Geekvape store on Aliexpress was a pre order. I had to wait about a month before they actually shipped, and just kept buying them. These should last me a good long while before I have to start using the mechs

That is how I found out about the US shipping ban- I order from Aliexpress- I just got an order from a few weeks ago- I went to order the few things left in my cart last night and got a gray bar over my cart saying that there is no shipping to the US for these items. Then I searched the internet and found the news story.

I have some dual cell mods but vape only single cell 18650 mods.
I am kinda partial to the Kanger Kbox minis. And have about 10 or so of them. I have been using 1 of them daily for over 4 years, still working fine.

This is the place that was selling the counterfeit juul pods and the illegal cart packaging.
In fact the only time I ever ended up at their site is when I was researching something shady

This single site is responsible for 90+% of the fake carts on the street that are killing people

They have 3048 listings just for "empty carts"

I consider this a huge step in the right direction.

So why not ban the sale of the carts? and not everything vape related?

You mean China ban the sale of something that's in demand?
They don't care if it's killing people or not.
They are the ones sending us boatloads of fentanyl during an overdose crisis.

I guarantee the reason they "won't" ship vaping stuff to the US is because the United States isn't allowing it.

A lot of the vape stuff on there is counterfeit too.

Don't worry there are about 50,000 other sites you'll be able to find vape stuff on.

Check fasttech or something
At least they tell you when shit is fake most of the time,

No, I meant Aliexpress banning the sale of carts. Either way, I'm stocked up, I just wanted MORE solo's but I guess I will have to live with the dozen I have.

I suspect that vape sales is a very minor part of Ali Baba's revenue. They are pretty much the amazon of China after all.
True, I'm sure it's just a drop in the bucket for them, but is this the start? How bout places like Fast Tech? are they next? makes me wonder...

Yep I suspect other Chinese sources will follow suit.
A possibility exists that this is part of Trumps rumored announcement on vaping this evening. and considering that Chinese trade negotiations are ongoing...
Just a depressing thought though at this point.

I suspect that vape sales for FT is a small part of their revenue as well.

Bad times coming for Chinese vape manufacturers. They recently lost about 1/2 of their customers with the India vape ban. and maybe another 10-15% will be lost with the Deeming regs and flavor bans and such?

Exactly! There seems to be a lot going on today. For a long time I think some of us figured "Well it's China, they'll still ship it out", but now I'm not so sure. I'm just so freaking glad I ordered when I did. It was actually the day MI announced their all out ban.

I really have nothing else I want to buy. Pico Squeeze and Kanger Kbox mini's are pretty much extinct.
Especially in white :)
I found one place that had Pico Squeeze in pink last week. went back today and all gone. I figured I could paint or just change out the guts :)
also checked on Nemesis clone mechs and they seem to be pretty much all gone as well.

As I said before look for problems getting vape stuff to accelerate a lot.

I assume vape shops and US vape online vendors will have problems getting Chinese vape stuff to sell?

And Bull City Vapor rebranded to Bull City Flavors and then they started their ejuice recipe packs which to be kinda negates their rebranding.
Might need to order another 16 oz or so of VC V1 and VWC,

I expect that any company with vape or ecig in their name will have problems in the future.
Same with flavorings that are marked by a vape oriented company or for vaping use.
For example if ecig express sold Capella flavorings they might have an issue. but some place like Amazon would not since capella does not promote their flavorings for vaping.
A flavoring like Vape Wild would have issues anywhere sold though.

They have most of their flavors on clearance, and I wondered what was going on.
This is what they responded to me directly on another forum:

"Since the WA flavor ban took effect, we have been diligently adjusting to remain in compliance on a state level.
It’s true that for now we will not be carrying nic bases or e-liquid. If this changes we will let you know immediately.

Name change won’t happen just yet @obijuan but we will definitely let everyone know of any changes we intend to make. We were just out the last couple of days adjusting to the ban."

If flavors are on clearance sale and they’re not selling nic, then what are they selling?
This bs is driving me crazy.
