I read like a fiend. Thank goodness for Kindle Unlimited, saves me so much money. I just have to look through a lot of skanky books to find good things to read.

I guess reading would be my Primary hobby... but honestly, it doesn't really feel like a hobby. In terms of importance, it comes somewhere after "breathing"... and it might even come after eating... but I don't think there's anything else except those two that I rank of more importance, than having something to read. I agree about Kindle, but I don't have the Unlimited; instead, I have a membership to Bookbub, which sends me an email daily of ebooks anywhere from free to about $4, I think that's the high limit I set. There are several thousand books in my Kindle cloud now, and I may have read maybe a third of them... not sure.

I also just love the hell out of drawing plans for dream houses. Don't ask me why, I really couldn't say, but i started doing it for fun on graph paper when I was about 8, played with it all thru school; at one point I wanted to be an architect, but when I learned how much advanced math would be required, I had to give up on that idea. But it still amuses me hugely, so I have a kinda pricey yearly membership with a cloud-based site/app called RoomSketcher Home Designer, I think it's $99/yr, for their "Pro" plan -- which means I get to change materials like paint, wallpaper, carpet and other flooring, etc, plus the entire "funiture" collection and customization of materials.

Lately I've taken up sewing; at this point primarily to make extensive alterations of a lot of my clothes, because I've lost 9 lbs but I haven't gained any money, and it was cheaper to buy a $150 sewing machine and learn to use it, than go buy a whole new wardrobe. :D It's fun, infuriating, apparently can get kinda expensive, but I'm learning something new and that always entertains me, besides whatever benefit I get from doing whatever it is.

Now I have to go do that thing that some consider a hobby, some consider a job, and then some of us just consider it required, if we want to eat: make dinner. :D

dance, i think it counts as a hobbie. i started when i was around 10, self taught. i started out bboying cuz it was very kool, but back then i could learn much cuz it was pretty what i saw on tv and back then everything was just called breakdancing.

once i got my 1st pc, i started looking for videos. started doing up down rocks when i was 10, then six step, coffee grinder (basic footwork). but that was as far as i think i could go since i was skinny and couldnt do freezes and stuff like that.

then someone told me about popping and locking, back then i didnt know it was catagorized. then started to learn popping and locking and hiphop and others.

then i got into battles and loved watching others dance as i get to learn a lot.

i also love ballroom dancing as well as other kinda of dance (as long as it intrests me).

im also into shoes and sneakers, also in toys and models and figures.

cars is also something i really love since i was a kid.

I collect comics...
:sneaka:

I used to until it seemed they all started using computer generated graphics from one, or two chop shops out of Korea. Once you remove human artists imho it seems to degrade the overall quality, possibly spirit of the work.

Enjoying the solitude and beauty, spotting various wildlife

:) I enjoy stalking at times. Once got close enough a deer in the wild to reach out and touch her. She froze for about a second then bolted. Then, living up here I nearly got ran over by a few deer at different times. Also was nearly decapitated by a mama red tail hawk looking to scoop up a rabbit mid flight.

I used to fish lots but not so much lately

Yep, used to fish a good bit here as well. I liked bowling at one point too, never carried more than avarage average of around 150.

I do paracord projects... bracelets, watch bands, belts, a blinged out collar

"Huh? How 'bout that?" I just might give up on the crochet and see about paracord projects. I did up two gray shoe laces into something like a petty officer's rope from their "rope and cookie" badge, and am using it for a key chain. Granted it was not paracord, still enjoyed working up all the loops. *sighs* Of course, crochet is loops too. *chuckles*

Hobbies? Well I read some if I can keep from going to sleep while doing it. Do some very beginner crochet. Not sure doing housework is something called a hobby but I do that. No human kids here. Me and the grumpy old man who naps most of the day, the wife is all. I write some but seem to also stumble at that.

Paracord is pretty easy, especially since you crochet!

some hardstyle techno to classical oppra to kpop to carpenters lol. (super odd though)

also i collect cell phones, i use to be a die hard nokia fan, so i do collect old phones (not just nokia, but some that i never bought cuz they perform like crap but looked good)

i used to collect video games too just for the heck of it, but that takes too much space.

i also have a another hobbie which is watch and collect AV with female friends. we just watch and talk about stuff like plot, acting, scenes and stuff like that.

I used to bowl quite a bit with my buddies, loved the friendly competition and trash talking. Luckily we all sucked with averages in the same neighborhood as yours so you would’ve fit right in. Besides the bowling was secondary to the drinking and occasionally betting if a game was particularly close. It’s always easier to gamble with your hard earned money when you’re properly lubricated.

I hear that. One of my buds bowled for the house league. He told me I got better bowling the drunker I got. House bar cut me off after 4 22 oz beer though. I didn't mind them doing that, likely kept me out of trouble I didn't need. This bud kept telling me I could get on the league. I kept laughing him away, knew better.

Making cars go fast so I can break them and then upgrade them. Here's a pic of the last transmission I upgraded. Straight cut gears 1st-4th gear to alleviate Honda's weak 2nd gear in the 6 speed k series transmissions. They were so bad you could shear teeth at stock power levels. This will hold the current 436whp supercharged street set up.

I grew up in a racing family. Been turning wrenches since I was little. Got out of college in 2001 and have been in the field ever since.

Where to start? More or less anything using my hands, making things and fixing things; I've a shop full of tools and I like to use them, don't really care too much what I use them on. I also like to read comics, I've a ton of '70s marvel stashed away that I'll drag out every so often. I also enjoy finding new (to me) music, making playlists (YouTube is my friend there) learning about the music. Learning anything in general, really. Reading has always been a past time of mine, I just haven't read many books lately most of my reading has been online. I've helped my neighbor restore his Harley and also helped a couple friends build racecars, one dirt track roundie-round and one dragster. I think that's all?

My kindle fire has been sickly for a while. would just pop up things on the screen that normally one would have to select..
Figured out that pressure on the back of it does that.
I suspect that the lipo battery has probably swelled up some and is putting pressure on the back of the screen
Ordered new battery today. Damn lipos only last 10 years?
amazon no longer carries the battery for it so went to Ebay.

Gardening (currently have a patio with some containers - tomatoes, cucumbers, dill, basil, green beans.
Learning music, assorted instruments. Scrapbooking, creating printable templates.
Attempting to write a novel.
What instruments have you been learning? I always wanted to learn how to play the violin

I've been a baseball fan since I was a little kid. I like the numbers or statistics involved and following players careers. I know it isn't for everyone but we watched games all summer long growing up on TV. The nearest stadium is about 5 hours away but I go there atleast once a year. This year was a really fun time to be a Twins fan. They hit more home runs than any other team in history.

It's the offseason right now and the players awards have been given. Now it's time to see what teams do to prepare for next season. Free agents need teams to play for and want big money. I've already written to santa. All I want for Christmas is Garret Cole :D. We need his big salon headed mullet in Minnesota. I doubt we could afford him though.

I know following baseball isn't really a hobby but I love our national pastime.

hobbies do not have to have physical objects in them. long as you enjoy it, and it doesn't hurt other people = good for you.
Thanks. Yeah I guess you're right.

I saw some bead work in this thread. My mom used to bead all of the time, moccasins, earrings, neckaces, and stuff like that. My aunt would sell the stuff at powwows. She makes quilts now. Funny story or maybe gross but I'll tell it. When driving down the highway with my mom we'd sometimes stop at road kill. It had to be a dead porcupine though. Us kids would jump out and tear quils off of them. The porcupine quills would be used in earrings similar to these-

People would drive by sometimes giving weird looks. Kids playing with roadkill while their mother sits in the car :D.
