9.99 ohms error on Voopoo Too mod

Hi, I’m currently experiencing a bit of a dilemma I cannot figure out for the life of me. I recently got a Voopoo Too for Christmas and I’m trying to put my freemax mesh pro tank on this mod. It’s not reading and showing the “check atomizer” message and showing the ohms reading is 9.99. Anyone know if this tank is just not compatible or if there’s a way to get it to read for use? I appreciate any help I can get.

Things to try.
See if the spring loaded 510 in the mod is stuck all the way in.

Make sure you're screwing the tank in far enough (don't laugh)

Or if it is all the way in and the pin on the bottom of the tank is adjustable, try turning it out just a bit.

Try another tank to see if the mod sees it.

Try another coil in this tank.

Try other attys....If the pin not the attys seem to help. ...Send it back.
Mine started to shocking me on the second day. I still have it since overseas wanted to refund/exchange. I just couldn't see paying $50 in shipping. You may have a faulty one like I did. :(

Welcome @ssjdan and I hope you enjoy your stay~!

If you try to fire the MOD with NO Atomizer does it say NO Atomizer or still reads 9.99? Good Luck

I’ve tried adjusting the pin and it just keeps spinning in place. I have the uforce tank on the mod right now and it works with it, I just can’t seem to get the freemax one to read. The freemax one has a brand new coil in it and everything too. I’ll try and mess around with it, thanks for the tips!

Thanks!

I’ve taken the tank off the mod and it says “check atomizer” as well as reading 9.99. When I tried to put the freemax tank on it, it says the same thing.

Hopefully it's not the mod, but yes it could be.

I assume you haven't tried any other atty before this?
I have the uforce tank on it right now. It’s the one that came with the kit I got for Christmas. My partner got it for me and said that the tank should be compatible with the mod but I haven’t been able to find a definitive answer on it. I’m still fairly new to the vape scene but I’m trying to learn.

Oh no, I’m sorry to hear that! I haven’t had any shocking or anything like that yet. It doesn’t seem to be faulty all around since I have a tank on it now and it works fine. I’ve been trying to look and see if maybe it’s just cause the tank itself that’s not compatiable with the mod but I haven’t been able to find anything on it.

The tank is compatible. Do you have another mod you can try the tank on? Also just for the heck of it, I would switch to a different coil and try that still too. The good news is it's not the mod or it wouldn't read anything.

Awesome, I did this and saw it was giving me the same reading on my other mod and so I just tried switching out the coil and it fixed it. I appreciate the help! Now I know how to fix it if this happens again in the future.

No problem :)

That can be caused by the other things that people were telling you too, but now you have an idea of things to try for the future.

Glad you got it working!
Seems to be an issue with the tank. Check the pin on the tank it might be loose or have juice on it as well. You can dismantle it to make sure there's no juice trying to short it.
The Uforce tank is a pretty good tank in itself. I still use it here and there even though the mod is a dud. The mod of mine fires but not a friendly fire to the mouth. Lol. I'm fine, you win some and lose some the way I look at it in life.
Good luck and happy vaping! :)

I hate to revive an old thread (especially since this is my first post to VU). But I had the same issue with my Freemax mesh pro tank, it took a day or two of messing with it when I finally realized that I didn't quite have the coil screwed all the way in. The coil wasn't making contact with the pin, after that I would just peek through the air port to verify I had good connection.

That does make sense.
If people show up on the forum with the check atomizer error it's usually the center pin on the coil if they have a sub ohm tank.

Welcome to the forum also

That's part of the reason I quit using sub ohm tanks and upgraded to RTA's, only takes a moment to figure out what went wrong. Thank you, I've only been here a couple hours but I've already learned a few things and had more than a few good chuckles, I think I'm going to like it here.

I use RTA's as well.
I used to use sub ohm tanks a few years ago but the coils are too expensive.
