Hi All, Anthony Vapes back here with my review of the Voopoo Vinci Pod Kit, please see the bottom for disclaimers and links. Note this is not marked as a sample version.
Introduction:
The Voopoo Vinco Pod kit is the latest Pod Kit frompopular vape manufacturer Voopoo. They burst onto the vape scene a few years back with the drag mod and were instantly popular and praised for it as it was a little ahead of its time but since then they have been a bit downhill. They had a couple of decent mods for power more recently like the alpha zip and voopoo too as well as a really good RDA in the pericles but mostly a lot of disappointments like the drag 2 and some bad pod systems. We’ll see if the vinci can turn that around. The Vinci is a simple rectangle styled AIO Pod with refillable pods and a built in 1500mah battery and inhale or press button to fire. It’s available in 10 colors Aurora, Dazzling Green, Space Grey, Carbon Fiber, Peacock, Scarlet, Ink, Opal, Hill Yellow, and Jade Green. Looking around online I see it in stock at element vape in the US for 39.95 for the kit.

Voopoo Vinco Mod basic Rundown
The Vinci is a rectangle style AIO (all in one) Pod kit, meaning there isn’t a separate mod or tank that can be used with anything else. It does have replaceable pods so you can carry spares, but those are sold separately and the coils are replaceable and you can reuse the pod like the Breeze 2, nautilus AIO or Nord. Design wise it’s very unique, it’s like a half pod half mod type of device. It’s larger than most other pods but for good reason. There is semi adjustable air in which you can flip the pod 180 degrees to go from MTL to DTL. realistically though in practice it barely makes a difference and both settings are restricted DTL vapes. Nothing MTL about this device at all. Cool idea, but poorly executed. It has a massive capacity of 5.5ml which is larger than most pod systems. The battery is listed at 1500mah. It features built in USB charging with a listed rate of 1A and a listed charge time of 90 mins. I tested this 1 time with an inline USB meter and for the charge rate it charges at 1.01A max so good rating there. It charges full in about 90 minutes so charges fast enough and good rating there as well. Battery size wise i got 1509mah so again good rating there. It also has passthrough vaping as well (keeps charging) so you can vape it while charging. No Drip tip, the mouthpiece is part of the pod itself.
The Vinci is very nicely built and feels really solid and not heavy either. Paint wise I have the peacock which is a shiny metallic gunmetal color mostly on the frame like all the colors and the color options are for the 2 side panels. The peacock one is kind of black/blue-ish and really looks a little dull and hard to see. The panels on this one should be nicer. It looks nowhere near as bright and vibrant as the pictures online. The pods attach to the battery via a magnet system. They fit nice in the battery. The magnets are nice and strong and grab the pod when close. To replace the coils they just pop into place and are held in by o-rings like the nord instead of the screw in style of the breeze 2. You just remove the pod and then pull the coil out of the bottom to replace. The filling is pretty basic. Just a simple rubber plug which is on the side of the pod so the pod needs to be removed in order to fill. Then you just pop open the rubber plug and fill. Fill hole is a good size so no complaints there. The pod is fully exposed so no need for a juice window. It’s also very slightly tinted so really easy to see your juice level. Well done there for sure.
How to use
Usage is pretty easy. It’s a lot more feature rich than other pods so this will be a little longer than usual. I’ll start off by saying the manual is completely wrong with what buttons do what outside of the basics so I just had to play with the key combinations to see what they do. 5 clicks of fire turns the device on or off. The device also goes into a sleep mode when not used and you need to click fire to wake it up. There are 3 modes on this device. Auto, Power, and Both. Auto means it only fires on inhale, Power means it only fires with the fire button and both (A & P) lets you use either. I used it all 3 ways and they all work good but personally I prefer the auto. It is nice to have both options and be able to choose which you want so well done there. Clicking fire 3 times lets you cycle which mode you want.
Holding up and down takes you to the puff menu which shows you how many puffs by day for the last 2 weeks you took. There is also a puff counter on the main screen but it reset every day so it’s only your puffs for that day. No option for a lifetime puff counter or to reset it when you switch coils. It’s cool that it has a puff counter, but wish there was more control over it. Again good idea, poorly executed, even though personally I don’t care about puff counters. Holding fire and down clears out your puffs. Holding up and fire locks the device so it won't fire and you can’t adjust anything until unlocked. Cool idea but again it shouldn’t have locked the auto fire. You should be able to lock the buttons and still inhale to fire. Lasty to change the clock hold all 3 (plus, minus and fire).
It does have a nice large color screen which is great complete with a full battery meter. If you plug it in it tells you the battery percent as well. I do love the screen on this device. It’s fully adjustable from 5 watts to 40 watts in 1 watt increments again pretty great. They have their “dry burn protection” but it’s nonsense. All it is is that it auto sets wattage whenever you attach the pod based on the coil resistance. It also does this if the device is left off or in sleep mode for a while (example like when you are sleeping). That means if you pull your pod out or it falls out and you put it back in the wattage changes. Or in the morning when you wake up from not having sued it while sleeping the wattage changes. Worse off the default for the .3 ohm coil is 35 watts which is too much for that coil so in reality, their device will automatically burn your coil if you aren’t paying attention. Again good idea, poorly executed.
