Hi All, Anthony Vapes back here with my review of the Aspire Mulus Pod Kit, please see the bottom for disclaimers and links. Note this is not marked as a sample version.

Introduction:
The Aspire Mulus Pod kit is one of the latest Pod Kits from popular vape manufacturer Aspire. Another one is the tigon AIO i’ll be reviewing soon. They have been around for a long time and have made some nice mods, tanks, and pods so have a pretty good track record overall. The mulus is a simple rounded rectangle shaped style AIO Pod with refillable pods and takes a single 18650. It’s basically aspires version of the popular and expensive billet box.. Mulus Mod Rundown
The mulus is a rounded rectangle style AIO (all in one) Pod kit, meaning there isn’t a separate mod or tank that can be used with anything else. It does have replaceable pods so you can carry spares, but those are sold separately and the coils are replaceable and you can reuse the pod like the Breeze 2, nautilus AIO or Nord. Design wise it’s not your everyday pod system. It’s designed like a billet box with a replaceable 18650 battery, a screen, and fully adjustable output from 1-80 watts. It’s compatible with tigon coils and also nautilus coils via the included adapter. With the nautilus coils there is adjustable air via the adapter. Really nice design there and the vape is more loose MTL to restricted low watt DTL depending on the coil used and air adjustment. It has a generous capacity of 4.2ml which is great, one of the largest I've seen in a pod system. It features built in USB charging (USB C) with a listed rate of 2A in the manual. I tested this with an inline USB meter and for the charge rate it charges at 1.26A max so good Overall but falls short of the spec. It’s not 2A charging so i’ll ding them there. It also comes with a resin 510 drip tip and you can use your own, but the included one is nice and matches the really nice resin panel.

The Mulus is very nicely built and lightweight. Paint wise I have the deep valley which is a matte finish light bronze-ish looking color with a resin panel of olive green, black and blue. It’s a great looking device and color scheme. No wearing on the paint either. Opposite the resin panel is a magnetic side door. The door fits great in place with no play. That is how you replace the pod/coil and battery and also has the up and down buttons to adjust wattage. The pods attach to the Device internally via a spring. You just pop it into place like the artery pal 2. To replace the coils they just pop into place and are held in by o-rings like the nord instead of the screw in style of the breeze 2. You just remove the pod and then pull the coil out of the bottom to replace. The filling is pretty basic. Just a simple rubber plug and the cool thing about this one is it’s on the side so you don’t need to remove the pod or anything to fill like most. You just pop open the rubber plug and fill.

Usage is pretty easy. It has 3 buttons, 2 are the up and down adjustment ones under the battery door and the other which is a fire button on the resin panel side. Click fire 5 times to lock or unlock the device. Simple and basic. The pod sits inside the battery however there is a nice cut out on the side and the pod itself is clear so it has a very nice juice window however it’s still kind of hard to see the juice because the cut otus are slim and the other side of the pod is blocked by the back of the resin panel. I would have liked a larger juice window personally.

Coil Performance and details
The Aspire Breeze NXT Pod Kit comes with 1 Pod but 4 coils which is great. All kits should always include at least 2 coils/pods. This kit comes with double of that so plenty of coils to start with. There are so many options for this device since it uses nautilus coils and tigon coils. And the nautilus coils are compatible with many others. I’ve used plenty of both options in the past personally and have reviewed the tigon kit and tigon tank several times and even the new tigon AIO. in short tigon coils are pretty damn good. Nautilus coils i’m sure most vapers have used one at some point and are familiar. Here is a quick run down though of all 4 included.

  • Nautilus 25 mesh .7 ohm. This one i believe is a new one. I ran it at 20 watts with 50/50 20mg nic salts and flavor was great for a pod coils. I vaped 4 tanks full so around 17ml and it was still good so good life.

  • Nautilus 1.8 ohm coil. I used it 10 watts with 20-25mg 50/50 nic salts. This one flavor was just ok. Not up to par with the others. And it only lasted about 6ml so not good life

  • Tigon 1.2 ohm coils. Used it with 20-25mg 50/50 nig salts. Flavor is good. better than the nautilus 1.8 ohm above. I ran 4 tanks so about 17ml and it was still good so good life and overall good coil

  • tigon .4 ohm coils. I ran 3 tanks with 70/30 3mg juice at 25 watts. It worked great but doesn't give me the nicotine I personally need but thats an individual tolerance. Flavor was good though. Then I ran 1 tank of 50/50 20mg nic salts at 22 watts. It worked great there as well. Overall good coil again
So overall outside of the 1.8ohm nautilus coil, the other 3 were really good coils for a pod system and tigon coils especially are just great, but the .7 ohm nautilus mesh was pretty great too.

Pros:
  • color options (4total)
  • Large 5.4 ml capacity
  • Great build quality on battery
  • Adjustable Air (with nautilus coils only)
  • good size for easy portability
  • fast charging
  • charges fast enough (about 1 hour and 20 mins)
  • pods are easy to remove and install as are coils
  • reusable pod (just replace coil)
  • easy to fill
  • nice screen for a pod system
  • fully adjustable output
  • takes since 18650 battery
  • comes with 4 coils
  • Pods are clear
  • Great flavor for a pod system
  • great coil life and consistency
  • budget friendly version of the billet box with good coils
  • massive range of coil compatibility
  • standard 510 resin drip tip
  • nice resin panel
  • good battery door
Cons:
  • juice level hard to see
  • Charge rate overstated
  • 1.8 ohm coil isn’t good
Conclusion
So with all that said, do I recommend this POD kit or not? I don’t like to do a hard yes or no, but this one leans heavily towards the yes. Outside of the 1.8 ohm coil the other 3 were good. I’ve used many tigon coils and they are really good pod coils. Not to mention that I'm sure most people have a nautilus style coil they’ve used and liked before in other devices. The billet box is really popular and costs over 200 bucks. Aspire made their version for a fraction of the price and really nailed it. If you ever wanted a billet box, by this instead. If you wanted a pod system that was more advanced grab one of these. I added this to my spreadsheet of recs which is linked below, feel free to check that out if you are in the market for anything.

This is Anthony Vapes just keeping it honest, hopefully you all can say the same and I'll catch you on my next review.

If only a U.S. vendor would sell this product. They launched it and no one in the states has this item for sale. I'm disappointed. :(

Yes that would be nice.
It was sounding really good in Anthony's review.
Maybe they'll ship some out to the US soon?

I do hope so. I bought the dotmod aio and the pod is not large enough to get me though my work adventures. (I do love it but it's not working for what I intended). I seen the launch over a month ago and still crickets in the U.S. Vendors please stock this!
I want to buy 3 total. 2 for xmas gifts.
