Just received An RDA for Vaping today. Yes that is the name of the RDA (An RDA for Vaping)...IT IS BAD ASS! I'm currently rocking the 2 holed AFC ring. It’s really fucking good, I mean really!!!! This is just slightly restrictive with all 2 holes open. It vapes & feels like my Goon 24 but smoother & more flavorful. I got mine loaded with the Tri-core 28g Aliens ohming out to 0.15 ohms. This is a must buy for someone looking for superior flavor. You will not be disappointed!

Voltage reads?

Yeah I'm that guy that will always ask this... where most only care about how well it vapes, I also care about any inherent voltage loss when in use on a mech.

I get also mech users are a niche crowd.

If you have any 21700 mech and 30Ts and a DMM, this particular info for this guy at least would be GREATLY appreciated.

Be rad!

Just checked this out on their site. Looks slick.
$60 though. I have no problem with that if it's made in the U.S.
10% off with the code "Turd10". :giggle:

It probably smells like voopoo. When I first heard of Coil Turd I though WTF. I aint into it lol. Fuking turd. Yes that's right, Coil Turds.

Yeah, I'd need a ton of convincing to go anywhere near this one, lol

I was gonna boycott the VooPoo when it first came out, but I won one and promptly gave it away, lol

Still haven't tried the now-out-of-production Wanko

I picked up one of these, but it’s currently under the tree until Xmas (gotta give myself something to look forward to :D).

I liked the look of it for a couple reasons, the biggest being it’s resemblance to the Pulse v2 deck. I’m convinced it’s design of delivering AF directly next to the coil (not just from holes in the side of the barrel) plus having the deck directly below the coils to keep the air close and cycling around the coil are ingredients for a killer side AF RDA. And judging by the OPs experience, I’m happy I made the connect lol

The price made me hesitant too. But you gotta consider the out of pocket risk this guy took making the RDAs. It’s my understanding that he’s not backed by any company. So it’s a little easier for me to spend $55 when I know it’s going to a single business owner, especially one that does advocacy work. U

I agree totally about supporting a business owner here in the US.
But unless i missed something, i couldn't find the country of manufacture.
If it is made in the USA , i couldn't find that info on their site as of a week ago.

I am sure it vapes well... just not sure if I'd get along with it, in how the Air Flow is channeled. My thought regarding that point is how heat transfers to the RDA itself. I run fairly hot .11Ω-.13Ω on the regular and or 110+w on a regulated and drip and rip a few times in succession, with how close the AF is to the coils pictured below... from experience, there is a lot of heat transfer to the barrel, to the base, top cap and for me that kills it even if it vapes well.

Plus for this guy, there is to many visual lines and loose tolerances between those line from the pictures for me to drop $60+ on

Those chamfers just make me wish they weren't for aesthetics

Again, I bet it vapes well... just to many visual queues from pictures that has me just say pass.

Maybe if it was $39 and had a discount Xmas code attached I might give it a whirl based on Boss mans reported voltage.

You can swap out the AFC ring from 3 to 2 to 1 hole which is a cool feature. As you said about running .11-.13 at 110w is a tad high for me. I'm running tricore aliens .15 at 85w and its perfect for me. Every is knocking the name COILTURD. Beecher Howard is an incredible coil builder and creator of the ejuice Bule Bolu. I'm just saying don't knock it until you try it.

IMO, this blows the GOON OG out of the water!

I’m not knocking the name or the person, just the design queues that have been done before and ones I’ve experienced and how I got along with them.

I am sure it vapes well, just those queues are enough for me to pass.

Plus as an example, the 2020 Ford GT500 is leaps and bounds a design feat above the 1967 GT500, doesn’t mean I’d take it over the older one, same as new vape gear; it works for some better than others, just for this guy, this RDA doesn’t, even without trying it

In the end we can agree to disagree.

That’s a fair point, and it’s exactly why I’m excited to try this one. My usual .2-.3 build at 60-75w should shine in this one. I don’t know what makes a great high-power RDA but I’d imagine it would include a chamber that’s a little less condensed than this one.

I have one of these and I dig it. I run dual fused claptons, 2.5mm ID, .25 ohm's. The weeping is minimal and not an issue IMO.

I was worried the top cap would scorch my lips but the build I'm using isn't hot at all. Going to try 3mm fused Clapton's at some point.

I'm glad someone else appreciates this RDA without knocking on the name of the builder. Yup, weeping is minimal
