Hey all :D

So I am looking to get more flavor out of my vape! I am using the Aegis Legend by Geekvape with a Fireluke 2 Tank, usually use the 0.15ohm mesh coils but sometimes throw in a dual mesh to play around with. Any tank/coil combo you guys would recommend for better flavor?

Thanks!

I love the fireluke 2 tank but I use the TNX2 0.5 ohm coils. It’s simply wonderful at around 35 watts, providing warm clouds of flavorful vapor.
These coils last a long time also making them my favorite tank/coil combo to date. I haven’t tried any of the other coils for the fireluke so can’t compare them to the coils you don’t like but I’d say to try these 0,5 ohm coils. I’ve always loved the vape I get from coils in this ohm range more then the super low 0.1 or 0.15 ohm coils on any tank.
Having said that I have a hard time recommending any other tank/coil combo with those being the best I’ve ever used. I’ve heard good things about the Uwell Crown 4 so maybe give that a try. I haven’t used it but their OG crown tank was my old favorite tank with their 0.5 ohm coil. I have it with about 20 packs of coils for it in case the government decides to ban everything vape. The Horizontech Falcon is another that gets good reviews but I think you ought to stick with what you got and try the TNX2 coils first. Well that’s my 2¢ on the matter and I wish you the best of luck in your quest to find a quality vape.
Oh I should mention that rebuildables would be a good bet as well as having total control of all aspects of your coil gives you the ability to tweak your coils until you find the combination that works best for you and it’s much cheaper als.

A surefire way to get better flavor, at least in my own personal experience, is to abandon mesh altogether and move on to advanced coil building on a decent RDA, but there is a learning curve, it takes some time, effort, and dedication, albeit a temporary working solution would be to just buy decent handbuilt coils until you can make them yourself, or, if money is not a problem, keep buying such coils.

If advanced coils are not for you, if I were forced to go for mesh right now, probably I would get the Wotofo Profile 1.5 RDA. The previous version of this RDA doesn't give the option to use a wider mesh strip and isn't suitable for vaping at 100 watts for a bit of a warmer vape. These two mesh RDAs are fairly convenient to use, and IMO they are fairly moderately priced. The only real downside IMO is, neither one of them is close to giving the best flavor that vaping money can buy. So convenience and affordability are the dominant factors here, but the flavor is not bad... it's just not in the same league as what I use daily. The same thing about flavor also applies to Horizontech Falcon M1 coils, but they are even more convenient to use, and, because an RDA is not a tank, the only way to try to improve the convenience of the Profile would be to spend more money on something like the Topside Dual (squonk mod) to go with that option. So, depending on how you use things, the price of the squonk mod could close (or almost) the price gap between the Falcon M1 coils on one hand and the cheap materials required to rebuild the Profile on the other hand, as the Falcon M1 coils tend to last a really long time and are not that overly expensive IMO anyway.

I can't reccomend the Uwell Nunchaku tank enough. The two coils it comes with are pretty damned good. But the .2Ω mesh coils (available for seperate purchase), are outstanding. I use them between 45-50W and the flavor is just nuts. I like it because it's at a power level that I enjoy the most. I also love my Falcon tanks but the coils for it want more power.

There's a Nunchaku 2 tank now that I haven't acquired. It can use it's newer coils, and the older ones as well. I need to pick one up to see which I like better.

How many watts? How is airflow set?

First thing I'd try, before I spent another nickel, is closing the airflow about halfway and reducing watts to about 50 or lower. Even with a 0.15 ohm coil, you could take watts down to at least 42-44 and still vaporize the juice properly, imo.

More heat and air = more vapor, less flavor

Less heat and air = less vapor, more flavor
