Help me spend my income tax refund

It's getting close to that time where I can buy something nice. Currently I'm going back and forth between an SQ or a VA spade mech squonk. If I get the SQ it'll be the 18650 version. Prefer the smaller size. Had the 217. really nice but bigger than I want.

Also considering getting another Cycloid,

What else should I be looking at? Prefer something I can get easily. Don't want to deal with closed or limited FB only. Like to keep budget around $250ish. Also going to get either a Reload S or Entheon to go with new mod.

Sounds good. We usually get our refund end of Feb or early March. I tend to waffle quite a bit which is why I'm starting the search now.

Stab wood would be nice too.

I have a full stabwood vicious ant 18650 I might let go of. Like I said I'll shoot you some pics tomorrow. This old man has to get some sleep.

Me too. Have to be up at 5:30 am for work. Only an 8 hour day tomorrow. Short day compared to the 14 hr days we've been working. Only think I loke about opera is the pay.

Opera is an acquired taste. I had a friend/coworker whose husband sang in the Raleigh Opera Company, so I kinda learned to like some of it. Still can't sit through five hours of Wagner.

I'm excited for you, hope you find something wonderful to buy!

I’d go for the SQ personally Don (preferably the 21700 OG not the topside) heard a few instances of 510 issues now on the VA squonkers ...granted not loads but not many issues on the SQ to name, they are pretty solid

RDA wise the Venom is well worth a look if you don’t mind the draw restriction of the hadaly, flave 22

mind you I vape fruity flavours predominantly not sure if you prefer bakery or not

I don't have an Entheon, but I love my Reload S. It's basically a Recoil RDA with more restricted airflow.

I seem to remember Moddog Pulsars being crazy cheap, direct from the manufacturer, this past fall. When I asked about the sale ending, the owner said whenever they ran out of Pulsars. It might be worth looking into, might have a few left. I know it's a 21700 but I've heard they are fairly small compared to most 2x700 mech mods.

You obviously can take my opinion for what it's worth. I have both VA Spade Mech and the SQ 217 you mentioned. They are both squonk mods but I think they are as different as a lifted Jeep and a Ferrari. They are both extremely nice and are my favorite mods for different reasons. The SQ 217 is like the lifted Jeep. It's tough and well built and hits like a truck. The VA is like the Ferrari. It's a thing of beauty that also hits like a truck. They are both approx. the same size and weight. I think you will be happy with either one.

Thank you. Looking into them. Also been turned onto the Avalanche 2X700. Looks interesting and only $125 bones.

Thank you very much for this Don. I like the comparison. I've had on SQ 217 but let it go so I'm very familiar with them. Have not had a VA so I may end up going that route.

You can't go wrong with a VA. I am in love with mine. I call it my crown jewel of my collection. I'm a bit bias about that one. I've wanted one since I first saw them so when the stars aligned and I had the cash I got one. I put a titanium Vital on it and it's perfect for me. Be prepared to choke a bit when you get it. I got my Spade mech and 2 spare bottles. With shipping it was just over $300. Shipping alone was $50. It did come quick.

Shit been looking at the VA mods and only $200 for the mech version. At that price I could get one of them and an Avalanche 2X700 and the a couple of RDAs and sty within my budget. Looking at Reload S and Asgard mini for the RDAs.

I've tried Jinx'd. It says my pictures are too big. I haven't figured out how to make them smaller. When I can have my 8yo grandson show me how to fix it I'll post alot of pictures.

Not surprised about shipping. It is coming from the Philippines right? SQ charged $25 coming from the UK

I use a photo site like flickr. I can't post directly from my phone unless I use tapatalk because of file size.

I'll try and figure that out. Yes VA is in the Phillipines. I don't have an Asgard mini but everyone seems to really like them. I like airier RDAs like the Apocalypse/Reckoning/Redemption/Vital and the TM24 PRO.

Was never a fan of that family of atomizers, although I did like the Elite v3. I had a TM 22mm a while back. Liked it but haven't gotten anything else from them.

go into your photo settings and lower the resolution = so easy even a Jinx'd can do it !

My iPhone let me choose an image size the other day, but when I brought the picture in, it was sideways.

It's not just iPhones, though. It's Apple, period. They've been like that since way back with the Macintosh. Their way or the highway, bud.

i'm not a phone expert. but from what i understand iphones are very dictator'ish. as in, you can only do what "they" want, not what "you" want.
I see and I can’t argue the point. Planning on going back to android my next phone.

Ok, I had taken the photo with my phone and it went into my photo library.

I brought up the Safari browser and went to VU, to this thread, just now.

Went to "Upload a File" in this reply box and selected "photo library" from the list of locations to upload from.

Phone showed me a screen full of pics, and at the bottom in tiny blue letters it says "Choose Image Size"

When I tap that, it gives me a screen that has selections of "large" "medium" "small" "actual size."

The other day when I tried this, I selected "medium" and the photo uploaded with no problem, but its orientation was wrong.

I have a Reload S (and an X as well) it's a great RDA. I can fit a 3.5-4mm triple core fused Clapton in it... flavor bomb! Good clouds too for a single!

@Don29palms I'm pretty sure this is gonna be a "doh!" moment, but what is the "CV" stand for?

@Don29palms thanks. And I'll second @VinnySem on the Reload S. I've got a couple VAs and while I usually like dual coils with good air flow I've gone to single coils and reduced air on these. Great flavor, less juice and battery consumption. And I love my VAs. I think you'd be happy.

Well now those rigs are just damn sexy... I may need a DNA VA...

But yes as @marter said, I've done builds as high as .95 ohms, on my DNA mod in TC the Reload S throws great flavor and clouds even without reducing the air. Granted it doesn't fog up the joint like the Reload X with a triple core fused dual coil at .10 ohms that I'm throwing 150 watts at, but it's a flavor bomb, blows away every other single coil RDA I've tried, and I've tried a lot of them!

And I just had a thought.... I might even try putting a drip tip adapter on mine, and get a tip with a tighter draw, and see how well it does as a loose MTL/restricted lung setup....

I found a clone VA Radius V2 rsa and really like it for MTL on the Spade. Actually a really nice clone (the Radius, not the Spade).

I was just on their site checking out their DNA 21700 mod... I think I made a diamond, my sphincter clenched so hard
Yeah, the regulated Spades get a little pricey. I bought my SX485j (the black/white one above) used at a really good price. I've never been able to bring myself to buy a new one and have it shipped. I'd love to have a DNA version, but the SX is fine.

Having said that, I think the Spade mech is within reason. I bought mine new. YMMV.

I am still SO pissed that AliExpress stopped shipping to the States. (Your Radius made me think of it again.)

I'm sure that goes on quite a bit in your neck of the woods!
I've partied down in your area many times before. Have to have your neck on a swivel.
