I thought it might be something like that. Well, 4 in 10 is almost half. :sigh:
We also have a Creation Museum theme park in KY that alludes to dinosaurs and humans co-existing.
and goes with the 5-10,000 year old earth beliefs.
They got some good tax breaks to build it too :)

It might be funny to go there, but maybe not! Wasn’t there a show like that, Land of the Lost or something?

Naah that would be fun and it seems that anything fun is a sin to many.
From what I have seen and read it is pretty much displays and such and of course over priced souevniers and food :)
I think Noah's ark is at the same place. Maybe not but owned by the same people. Some Ham guy from Australia.
Who tried selling it to his church to get out of paying property taxes... He lost that one.

It crossed my mind that it would be a wonderful way to show that man and dinosaur (albeit a miniaturized version) could co-exist...:giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle::xD:

Well they are not off by much, only about 4.5 billion....

Hm, last I read/heard somewhere in one of those archeology/science type of sites was they could possibly add on another 2 billion years. Won't say which one other to say it was one that seems to be of the more credible, reputable sites. Can't recall if it was Smithsonian, Discovery, Nat Geo but something of that ilk.

People believe what they want to believe and seek rationalizations for it.

Yeah, you know it is bad when you believe a neighbor in KY is an alien and you have to rationalize believing because it is true, but then, realize this neighbor did not invent Silly Putty even if they claim such a wonderful invention. I know the how and why of Silly Putty, that lovely eccentric St. Germain explained it to me and Methuselah.

There are those that contend that the components of life may have arrived via meteor or such, according to Bradberry we are the Martians...

everyone here has avoided the possibility that there may be
deeper reasons for war.
since war has been continuous for thousands of years,
since war is natural to us,
it must be important, perhaps essential,
to our survival.
instead of condemning war,
it may be better to come up with enforcible rules of war.

Killing others except in defense is wrong.
edit: Or for heinous crimes.

Just the way I roll with it.

I hope no one that matters believes in my alien status. I do not like being dissected.
But... hide in plain sight?

Then of course Humans may have originated on Mars and as they destroyed that planet moved to Earth?
I cannot say for certain though as we were not watching this place back then.
And have not done extensive surveys of Mars in current times.

I commend your advocacy of war in all sincerity. You pose a valid point in that we cannot know peace without war. That is simply Nature for us. Jachin & Boaz, Yin & Yang, Life & Death, Male & Female, Light & Dark, Day & Night. Good & Evil, Active & Passive are all concepts in nature seen as pairs of opposites the same as War & Peace, and we cannot know one without its opposite. While appreciative of this I have difficulty accepting war serves what many deem a "good" purpose.

Though I suppose the argument of thinning the herd might be a "good" purpose. I know here in WV we have ad hoc deer hunting seasons which are perfectly legal, they get done to thin the herd of deer. If deer over populate an area, deer die off because the area can only support so much deer population. Perhaps the same is true of human beings.

This noted it would seem a more rational means, more humane means could exist to achieve the same ends. Do I know what that could be? No. I make no claim of having all answers or knowledge. In fact there is much I simply rather not know. I find that in knowing comes some anguish at times, for example once you learn how magicians do tricks, you lose capacity to know magic, wonder. So there is a lot I rather not know.

My point being, I'm kind of in agreement with @The Cromwell on self defense being the only just motivation to kill. I will also though include defense of those you love as a motivation, justification. Do I hold to capital punishment? Only in extreme cases ruled so by society's common good and sense of justice (note I do not say vindication, vengeance here, I explicitly say justice).

Aliens created Silly Putty? I loved it as a kid. You could lay it on a newspaper and get the print on it. Plus, it came in it’s own egg. What’s not to love? :teehee:

I once saw a tv show about a New Age group that sang horrible hymns to St. Germaine. What a pisser.

Possibly death penalty for serial killers who are going to offend again, and are a real danger to society. Although with the death penalty, there’s always the danger of killing innocents. But really crazy killers should prolly be taken out of circulation permanently. Jmho.:heart:

Agree with you. Cautioned against vengeance. Have in my opinion seen some executed for vengeance thinly disguised with trappings of justice. Also "big" enough to note my opinion means so little.

So, Mist “doesn’t matter”?

Of course, I don't matter. I'm ugantz. :) What matters is balance. Then, I give up believing in matter a while back. Found out, matter makes stuff up. :) And no, I'm not stuff, nor are you.

If someone also leaked VAPE And here we are. Apologies.

If OP wasn’t a bot, they’re prolly in shock at the popularity of this thread! But it was one of the most unintentionally funny things I’ve read here. But if we used a translator for our posts, I’m sure they would be hilarious, as well.

I’m sorry, but soaring and nozzles are a pisser.

Remember those t-shirts? "I ran into Tammy at the mall" OMG Hysterical! (at least at the time)

My grandmother would have sent her last 10 dollars in this world to a TV evangelist, if he'd asked for it. That's nothing but obscene if you ask me.

One would think that we are smarter than deer though and would be capable of regulating our population withought having to resort to killing each other?
I am reminded of a play in High School... The Lottery... Or Logans Run? Soylent Green?

Yep for the most part they prey upon the ones who can least afford it.

If you were to survey a lot of people, and if people were answering honestly, very nearly all of them would have to admit that they wouldn't be alive today if it weren't for modern medicine.

If I had survived until my teenage years, strep infections would've had me. If I'd survived those, pre-eclampsia in my pregnancies would've had me at 24, or 27, or 30. Since 30, there have been a number of other things.

If anyone has had any kind of serious illness/infection, or injury, or birth defect, or any other medical misfortune, well, just visualize that.

Many people thought how barbaric the Chinese government's regulation of family size has been over the past many years, but certainly having a policy is less barbaric than engaging in war. It's also less barbaric than bringing children into the world anyway, and leaving the baby girls in the woods to die.

Sounds to me like we created, or at least exacerbated, a problem in an attempt to be humane and empathetic, and cannot solve it without being barbaric in one way or another, or several. What a position to find ourselves in! We're painted into a morality corner!
