I use Vape Tweezers- these are great for getting many of my tanks apart- just ordered a 2nd pair because I can't ever be without these. Mine are made by Coil Master.

If the above dont work, set it in the freezer for a little bit. The metal will contract and expand when it starts to warm up and it should break apart.

I have used a bench vice too- wrap a towel around the RDTA cap tighten slowly and twist.

Yes this does work too. My SMM Elevate RTAs were impossible to get the deck off- broke the glass even using the Vape Tweezers- stuck them in the freezer and viola I was able to loosen the bottom off to be able to get to the deck.

yeah, i have one of those rubbery jar opening things. but its is still a little to slippery.
I use an old non working beater mod to help give me torque- I have a hard time just holding these tanks in my hand to get them apart.
A wrung out damp dish rag may help get it unstuck too.
I have come across some really nasty RDTAs,RTAs and RDA that I have a hard time getting apart. I have soft girly hands- lol!

I have an Avocado 22 that no matter what, I can't get apart. I thought about purposely breaking the glass just so I could get a better hold on it, but then I wouldn't be able to replace the glass if I still can't get it apart. I did buy an extra base, LOL.

I have a Ball jar lid remover pad. It is thin, round, and about 5" in diameter. I got mine at the local feed store where they also sell canning supplies. Probably can get one at various stores which sell canning stuff. I use that along with my ceramic tip vape tweezers and ( knock on wood ) have yet been plagued with a tank I can not get appart or off a mod. Also good for those stubborn pickle jars. Peace and love to all.

freezing didn't work. hit it with a heat gun. didn't work.

Is that the VGOD Trick or the Elite? Probably doesn't matter looks like the same cap for both. That top cap is one you will have to pull straight off, even the reviewer had a hard time getting that cap off- I was watching a review for the Elite RDTA.
That is one weird design for the top cap on the VGODs and hope you will be able to get it apart.

its the rdta that i can't unscrew to get the glass out.

You can't undo the screw at the 510 pin? That would allow you to remove the glass.

Double sided tape, put a piece around each of the two pieces you need to unscrew from each other.

all right, i got it. taking the 510 out released tension and i was able to unscrew is easily.

Yipppeee-
:stars2:

I have the Pyros, Pixys and the Nefarius RDTAs and they all work similar in removing the 510 screw to remove the glass. I still use the Vape tweezers to remove the cap.

His English is way better than my Chinese! LOL
At least he wasn't a boring, technical reviewer that drones on and on , he did demonstrate that Vgod RDTA in a hilarious way, short and sweet and funny- lol

I stick a fork prong or something similar into the airflow channel on tanks. Otherwise rubber gloves work good for grip. Ive used tweezers in the top fill holes too to spin tops. Pliers are a last resort but I always use a towel as a barrier to prevent scratches.

Dunno if anyone has suggested this yet (feeling lazy and didn't read the whole thread lol) but two strap-wrenches can get any atty apart, no worried about scratching or breaking the glass either. You might even be able to do it with one strap wrench, depending on how tight it is.

Strap wrenches are so useful that everyone should have one in their toolbox... Guaranteed to get those jars of pickles open lol
